JP Brett & Sons Air Conditioning - 4 HVAC units on roof - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Naples, Florida

Absolute worst HVAC install ever! Have to dismantle half of the unit to rip the old filter out and then cram the new one in - what a disaster of an install! I would very strongly recommend you to cross them off your list for HVAC work of any kind. There are a lot of good ones out there. read more

JP Brett and Sons installed an A/C unit in our condo a few years ago. My old unit was functioning well, but because of its age and the potential for problems, I opted to purchase a new one. In the first 10 years of owning our condo, and with the old original A/C unit, I had never had problems with condensation collecting in its drainage system. But after only 6 months, the new system shut down one evening. After having JP Brett and Sons send a technician out to fix it ($300+), I was told that the problem was a mold clog in the condensation drain. Since then I have put vinegar in the drain on a monthly basis. The drain has only clogged once in the past few years, but almost every time I check the unit, there is water settling out near the origin of the condensation drain and the bottom of the filter is wet. I couldn't understand why, UNTIL a few months ago I put a level on the initial horizontal portion of the condensation PVC pipe and found that it actually angled slightly BACK TOWARD THE UNIT ! It looked like my A/C unit was installed an inch or so too low which therefore caused the drainage system to angle back toward the unit. I contacted JP Brett and Sons about this, suggesting that they likely installed the unit a little lower than it should be, such that the drain doesn't angle away from the unit, it angles back toward the unit. Mr. Tercero got back to me saying, "We haven't serviced this community for over a year" and suggested "routine maintenance service" to "prevent issues with drain backups". I responded to him, thanking him for NOT ANSWERING MY CONCERNS. I told him that if his goal was to avoid the problems his company had likely caused, then he had done his job well. read more

Returned to Bonita Springs for the winter to find that I had mold growing in my home. Quality 1 Restorations (also highly recommended) diagnosed the extent of the needed remediation, but the work required our Air Conditioning unit be removed before the work could begin and them be reinstalled after the remediation was complete. JKP Brett responded immediately to my call and worked around Quality 1's schedule to allow the work tm be completed as quickly as possible. Their work was priced fairly with both techs and a supervisor coming to the house several time. It wasn't a fun experience to go through, but the two companies we worked with were AWESOME. A+++++service from JP Brett read more

I called three days ago requesting service at my Naples condo. I provided phone numbers and access codes for my unit. First, I have to say the answering service you all use is very incompetent and tries to blame the customer for their shortcomings. They did not show up the next day nor called, I called their dispatch service again and they claim they had no record of my call. I will now have to wait til Monday, but im calling someone else. Sorry, I really thought the Brett family was reliable. Theyre not. Dont waste your time. read more

My air conditioner quit working and I called JPBRETT AIR the next morning. Their customer service told us they could have a technician there by 1:00. Danjel was on time and showed me what my 7 years of neglect had done. ( I knew nothing about care of an air conditioner.). Danjel worked for 4 hours replacing the motor and cleaning and repairing the damage, and sold me a light which will automatically clean the interior and prevent further mold growth. I still need a deep cleaning. Danjel was very professional and polite and not at all judgmental concerning my neglect. read more

We had Brett install a new a/c and furnace shortly after we bought our condo (about 8 years ago) and have had them service the systems since. Brett's techs have always been on time, courteous, and careful. Our latest visit was last week, and Brady (who we also had last year) was exceptional! We'll continue to use Brett, and will be asking for Brady in particular in the future. read more

Have used them for sometime but not anymore. They looked at my air and told me the reason it wasn't cooling is it was too hot outside to get down to 75 WHAT!! I've live here over 30 years that is BS why even bother to have air if that were the case never had a problem before. They sent out 2 guys and did not know what they were doing. I was out of town for 6 months came back was not working i thought I would give them one move change, they never called back. This company has went down hill in the last couple of years. would not use. read more

update , changing 5 star review to 2. they came out in august, for an annual cleaning. it's november , our tray has been filling up. the pipes to exterior are clogged apparently. called to see if they would stand by their annual cleaning. woman on phone was very rude, talked over me, i tried to say we had cleaning recently, she paused said 'can i finish?' , i found it rude and confrontational. she said they only cover 30 days, even though the tech said i should be good for 2 years. talked to manager, nicer, same thing, wanted to charge 115$ again to come out. I'll be finding another company. read more

Horrific customer service. Paid to have new a/c put in, it breaks every couple of months, continually needing them to come repair. Now needs further work and they don't want to do the work, are rude on the phone and point fingers everywhere else but themselves. Do yourself a favor and someone better. read more

I started using Brett & Sons at the recommendation of a friend a few years ago after a well-known competititor gave terrible service, was never on time, and charged $200 just for a service call. The competitor didn't show up twice, then when they finally arrived 3 days later they wanted $2,000 for a simple fan replacement. That's when I called Brett & Sons -- the cost of the service call was half the competitors price and the fan replacement cost was just over $900. The repairman called me twenty minutes before he arrived to give me an ETA, was on time, courteous, and very well mannered. This year I had a problem (the system is 12 years old). Caleb was the technician; a refined, courteous gentleman. He quickly diagnosed the problem. and explained exactly what was needed. A high voltage contact switch burned out in the air compressor on the roof. He had the repair part in his truck, and got my AC up an running for just over $300, which included the service call, the repair, and the cost of parts. He also took detailed pictures of the problem and showed me the old switch that had burned out. I highly recommend Brett & Sons == I trust them. read more

My ac unit was making a metal on metal screeching noise. Brett air inspected it and stated that I needed a new blower wheel and housing. They charged me $720 to replace this part, which took the technician 1 hour. The part (70-104182-09), can be purchased retail for $182.... I spoke with Carlos from Brett who tried to justify the exorbitant price I was charged. Let the buyer beware, check for better install prices when you get a quote from Brett......... read more

Caleb did a great job! Fixed the capacitor. Didn't try to sell me a hard start kit. Really appreciate this company at 7;22 PM pm a Monday. Highly recommend. read more

I called JP Brett after our AC went off. We had another company, 1 hour AC, out 23 days ago at a cost of 350.00. They said it was the drain line and the float valve. Santiago from JP Brett found that they had never cleared the line or serviced the pan for 350.00. Santiago "Samuel" did a totally thorough job with the line and scrubbing the pan, topped up freon and replaced a capacitor which was showing future failure on the electrical resistance. All for 488.00 and he explained what was going on all the way through. Excellent service tech. I will be entering into a service contract with them and having them replace my duct work. read more

I needed a second opinion on an AC issue. The office was professional and helpful and sent someone out within a few days. It cost me $99 to get the opinion which is probably standard. I felt that the tech wanted to sell me a maintenance plan which wasn't high on my priority list. If I need service in the future I will consider this friendly company with a good reputation. read more

I had this company come out twice to fix my air conditioning. Each time I paid for the service they recommended. My air conditioning never worked and I had to hire a different company to completely replace the air conditioning unit. I then tried to reach a compromise with them for their past charges. Our agreement was that they would reverse the first two credit card charges and recharge me for only part of the work. They did not reverse the charges but instead charged me a third time. Despite more communications to them, they have still not reversed the charges and I am now disputing this through my credit card company. read more

This company offers the best comparable prices in Collier County yet offer the same quality service as larger companies like Conditioned Air(I witnessed their installation process as well). I had 2 technicians come out for my complete installation. They put out coverings wherever debris might fall and were very mindful of my surrounding property and my children running around. They worked together to get the work finished in a timely manner. Absolutely courteous techs and very professional. From the sales person all the way to the manager and techs they worked on my behalf to make sure our system was well set up and we were getting what we paid for. I couldn't recommend them enough. read more

I had been having problems with my HVAC service since moving to Florida 7 years ago. My friend suggested JP Brett and they have been wonderful. I have 3 properties they service for me. Ray was my technician last week. He was the BEST! I asked JP Brett to always send Ray to me! He is a very hard worker. He is also very neat, thorough and knowledgable. Ray took his time to go over each of my units and pointed out things he felt I should know to ensure my units work at their top potential. I would recommend JP Brett for and emergency call (which is how I found them originally and they came right out and took care of it right away) and for routine maintenance as well. If you are smart you will ask for Ray, if you are lucky he will be available to help you. He is really that good! read more

This team is amazing, from office to field. I have a property service / home watch company & deal with a lot of AC companies & they have had the best service overall. They do what they say, take care of business, show up on time & get there fast! Thank you so much! read more

Had my A/C unit quit on me yesterday, called JP Brett & Sons this morning and spoke with Randy. He said he would have someone out in about an hour to take a look at it. Within 15min I received a call from Rick, one of their techs, that he was on his way and would be here in 20min. Now that is what I call fast service! Rick arrived on time, was very professional and courteous, I explained the issues the unit was having and he said it's probably the capacitor that malfunctioned. After inspecting the unit, it was confirmed that the capacitor was faulty and nothing else was wrong with the unit. Let me tell you that was a relief! Last thing I needed before the holidays was to spend thousands on a new A/C unit! Instead the diagnostic and repair was a total of $220! I've been using JP Brett & Sons for years and they have been around for over 40 years. There are very simple reasons why, honesty, outstanding customer service and fair pricing! Do not hesitate to call them when you need A/C service. Thank you Randy and Rick for helping me out today!! read more

Sent a young inexperienced tech, after he left there was water, fluid all over the ac area in the garage. When I tried to move a sewing machine, the entire box had been soaked and fell apart. We had to move other items to dry the area. I sent them an email with the information and I never heard back, no sorry ma'am, nada, no reply. They recently sent a service reminder email, I replied and mentioned the water incident again and have not heard back on that either. If they had acknowledged the complaint and offered to fix the sewing machine, we would have been happy. They also put dye in to detect what they said was a freeon leak, and added 2 pounds, however, the next time they came they said the dye did not detect any leaks. That seems like an extra charge for nothing. Needless to say, we have been with another ac provider since these incidents. read more

Very bad experience. Sold me a new a/c unit in 2011. Came out for a/c check in 2017 and said coils were leaking and bad, new coil/freon replacement for approximately $875. Was going to charge me for 10 lbs of freon. Received much lower price from another company (for same amount of freon and new coils. Even though the unit they sold to me failed after very little use (only 3 mos. a yr.), they wanted much more to replace coils and freon than another company. And charged me for a full a/c inspection when the tech didn't do anything but look at coils an say they were bad. Tech said I would get another free a/c inspection, but when I called they said they would not do that. Talk about loyalty to customers... NOT! Buyers Beware! read more

Wow talk about rip off city. These guys just came out to our bussiness downtown. After about two hours of two tech poking around not knowing what they were doing I am told I need two pounds of freon in the unit. There may be a leak.Ok, seven pounds later on a 6k unit I bought from them 2yrs ago I am told I need a new evaporater coil. They say it's a terrible unit until I remind them that they sold it to me.Talk to the office and wow I am gonna get a deal at $1900.Less than retail I am told.Cant believe a Naples ac company selling bad product and giving even worse rude service!!! read more

Tech was very helpful, found issues quickly and made repair. He also made a great case for having a maintenance agreement that we will take advantage of shortly. read more

j.p.brett air conditioning just finished performing our 6 mo. courtesy inspection on our newly installed system. their tech jamie called ahead as planned and arrived shortly after. jamie was very personable, courteous and thorough, explaining along the way what needed to be done and why. my wife and i were very impressed with his approach and attitude in doing the job and the way he dealt with us as customers. it's nice to know there are still companies out there that value their customers and hire the right people to mirror their values. thank you! read more

This company is horrible. We purchased a brand new unit for $5000.00 and were told about 6 months later that we had a complimentary maintenance due to us. We scheduled for it, but then Hurricane Irma came and it was cancelled. Then afterwards, we called them to come out for a complimentary maintenance and the woman told us they were too busy - never even offered another time to come out. We tried again a few weeks later, to secure another appointment for our 'complimentary maintenance' so then we drove all the way there (full day's drive) just for the appointment, and arrived at the house at 8:00 a.m., only to wait for nearly 30 minutes for a phone call that the technician wasn't coming because he was sick. Dealing with this company is a major pain as the woman on the phone is so immature all she can do is tell customers how busy they are as her excuse why she can't fit you into the schedule. Fine, then you won't mind this post so I can help spread the word that you most definitely are too busy - hopefully posts like this one will help solve that problem for this ungrateful company. Funny how they weren't too busy when we were hiring them to put a brand new a/c unit in for us at $5000.00 nor were they too busy for a regular maintenance which costs us $500.00 - outrageous cost for a thermostat, but that "complimentary maintenance" forget about it. read more
