Sabrina is wonderful! She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind, generous, and dedicated to training all types of dogs. After researching a few puppy boot camps on Oahu, and then meeting with Sabrina for an initial consultation, my boyfriend and I sent Cola, our 4-month-old chocolate brown chihuahua terrier mix, to the 2-week puppy boot camp in March 2021. It was a considerable price in proportion to our limited budget but every penny has been so worth it. Other trainers on Oahu are actually priced the same or more. Sabrina was so dedicated to our puppy's success that she gave her a 3rd week of training for free (Cola's a stubborn girl)! What sold me most on choosing Sabrina was meeting with her and learning that she uses praise-based training (no treats). Cola's training did not end at the 3-week mark either because Sabrina is still regularly checking in with us via text and meeting at our home and hers to do follow-ups. The training guide she provides after boot camp is an excellent resource and Sabrina has been so helpful in guiding us with how to tailor some of the commands and training for our stubborn pup. Our experience has been nothing but positive. I highly recommend and TRUST Sabrina for dog training and I definitely plan to use her services again for training camps and boarding. read more

Worst decision I've ever made! Big, big waste of money!!! I paid $5,000 and left my 2 puppies with Sabrina to be house trained and for socialization and overall obedience training. They boarded with her for an entire month and came back to me no better than before. They were more skiddish with people than before. They are not potty trained and her excuse was that one, the younger one, was mentally retarded. She said she thinks that puppy might have gotten stuck in the birth canal and didn't get enough oxygen. Really?!! And what about my older puppy? What's her excuse for him not being trainable? You leave them with her and you cannot visit them. She says she's going to send you photos and give you reports regularly, but she doesn't. I really, really would not recommend you take your pet to someplace where you cannot check up on your pet during the training period. Especially this place!!! read more

With Sabrina's behavior modification methods and obedience training I've been able to gain control over my pack of dogs. Through observation and conversation she is able to gauge how much (or little) control you have over your dog(s) and picks up on what sort of personality you have as a pack leader for your dog(s). From her I learned hand signals, the correct tone of voice to use when executing the commands, the correct "words" to use when correcting a non-compliant dog. She also showed me how to implement time-outs using a tie-down, how to control barking using a muzzle (to be used like a time out and ALWAYS supervised), etc. Her methods have worked wonders with my pack...sadly she wasn't the first trainer with whom I've worked. Our dog went from Cujo to Amigo. Five minutes after bringing home Puka from the HHS, there was blood. Don't get me wrong, there were other bodily fluids flowing too, like dog urine, children's tears, and feathers. (Plumes may not technically liquids, but my point is that things were flowing and flying and I thought our lives were already maxed-out on drama). Sabrina and Danny retaught our very alpha dog who the boss really was at the boot camp, and gently and firmly removed Puka of that role. Then both of them followed up with myself (I am technically the alpha bitch in my household as a single mom, but never really lived up to the name). The very dedicated follow up was the thing that empowered me to really be the leader in my family in terms of the pawed-ones and even the slippahed ones. We are still a circus every time we move from point A to point B but I really have the control in the group and we get around a lot faster and with a lot more pride and unity. And the fighting like 'cats and dogs' in the household has been curbed, in both the metaphorical and literal senses. Thank you so much Sabrina and Danny! It was a dream of mine to have a functioning menagerie in my adult life but I didn't really think it was possible given the already complex dynamic of my family. Everyone has now adapted beautifully. Sabrina coached me on what breeds would be best for me and then, through her, I rehomed an 8 month Goldendoodle pup who had been through Puppy Boot Camp. I was shocked when she told me to keep him on leash all the time until 30 days after he was neutered. In retrospect, that was an excellent practice. My pup got used to me and we bonded beautifully. Not only that, he was very well trained in his basic commands and executed them very well. We have a 2-year old F1B Goldendoodle who liked to jump a lot, pulled the leash while walking, didn't come when we called her, didn't stay in one place, and only played with small dogs. My wife looked up obedience training programs on google and we came across Balanced Obedience. The first time we reached out to Sabrina, she was very responsive and cordial. We exchanged some emails and she recommended the 2-week bootcamp for our dog. We went out to her farm/training facility in Waimanalo to check it out and she was able to evaluate our dog and address the concerns we had about our dog's obedience issues before we began the program. We took our puppy, Kaleb, to Sabrina for help with potty-training, to learn basic manners and commands, and to stop the nipping, jumping and chewing that was making us regret not getting a kitten instead. We couldn't be happier with Sabrina and with the results of her training. After two weeks of training, our little Kaleb returned to us full of the same energy and enthusiasm he had when he went to Sabrina, but now he listens and follows the commands he learned. Now we can enjoy the little puppy we love, without the frustration of his previous unwanted behaviors. Kaleb is even setting a good example for our two 3-year-old labs who have always been a little resistant to the training they received from another trainer. When the three dogs are together and we give Kaleb a command, the labs also follow the command, modeling Kaleb's response. What an unexpected benefit of Sabrina's training! Because of this, we are now (finally!) able to take the dogs on walks around the neighborhood without the struggle of keeping them from running off or wanting to chase other dogs. My husband and I have a 10 month old GSD who had been displaying signs of aggression at home and in public from a very early age (4mo). I was covered in bruises, cuts, bite marks all over my body. He was a bully in the household and was terrorizing our marriage. He would bite, lunge at people and other dogs, and needed to be very sedated for all vet appointments. I will be very honest I was done with him and was very much ready to rehome him. That's when my husband found Sabrina. We made a deal; if this training didn't work we would rehome him. I was very skeptical and really believed our Shepherd was truly beyond help. I almost hoped it didn't work just to be done with this dog. Jaeger, our GSD stayed with Sabrina for 3 weeks, she was very honest and open from the get go, telling us yes he can be trained however due to his history we also need to have realistic expectations that he is a male shepherd and will need strong, confident handlers for the remainder of his life and if we can't be that for him, rehoming can be an option. I really appreciated her honesty and knowledge from the beginning. Sabrina knows what she's talking about and knew the breed well. Fast forward 3 weeks, we arrive at her location to a completely new dog, remember now, this is the same dog that has bitten me, left scars on my hand and legs, and could not be seen in public due to aggression, here he is sitting calmly by her side waiting for us to step out of our car. She demonstrates all of the techniques she has taught him (sit, down, leave it, heel) over the past few weeks with us and I am blown away, our dog is no longer pulling on the leash, lunging, biting, or terrorizing our house. It's been almost 2 months since training and I will be very honest, I love this dog, he has turned from our worst nightmare to our best friend, as I am writing this he is calmly laying at my side sleeping. He had his first vet appointment yesterday with NO SEDATIVES, the technicians all noticed he is a different dog, he was giving everyone kisses at the vet and really for the first time actually seemed to enjoy being there! We go to Lowes to practice commands with distractions, we go to the park, we can eat dinner and watch tv with him at our side, it's incredible. Sabrina has given us the tools and confidence to grow with him. He really is our partner now, he really is a different animal altogether. He was never affectionate with me ever, now, he's giving me kisses, looks for me when I'm not in the same room as him, and will gladly sleep at my side as we watch tv together. Sabrina gave us our life back, this whole story may sound cheesy, but it was very real. We had a real problem and were given a solution. I am so happy we went with Sabrina at Balanced Obedience! I always wanted to get into obedience training and welcomed into my home a working line German Shepherd-Delta. She had a lot more drive and was quite the handful compared to any other dog I have owned. Delta would "chose" when to obey commands or if it was preferable to lunge, destroy things or escape to chase my neighbors (literally). I was the only one who could handle her and couldn't leave her with family or friends. Sabrina is awesome. She's a great trainer for both basic obedience and service dog tasks, and I love that she does it without food lures. I sent my puppy Pryna to service dog "camp", and she came back home so well-behaved and ready to help me live my life, and Sabrina even gave me essential items like a service dog vest, leash, and prong collar. Sabrina is great about helping via text when I have minor behavioral questions (how to reprimand Pryna when she barks unnecessarily) and health questions (is it normal for poo to look like that), and she's incredibly welcoming and accommodating when I want to bring Pryna back for additional task training. She even sent photos when Pryna was at "camp" and gave me little updates so I knew Pryna was enjoying her time there. The only thing I wish was different is the inevitable dog smell that comes from having more than 2 dogs together, but an extra bath is a small price to pay for proof that my dog is allowed to run and play with other dogs, rather than being cooped up in a kennel. After living in Hawaii for 4 years, we finally decided it was time for us to get a dog. We knew we wanted a doodle mix since they are so smart. We had no idea how challenging the training would be. By the time Kona was just under 6 months (right before Christmas) she was jumping all over us, our guest, countertops. She was extremely sassy, and nipping at us and our guests. I told my husband that I wasn't able to handle her, and that if we didn't find a solution fast, we would have to rehome her. My dogs Boomer and Maggie both attended the boot camp training. Sabrina took the time to first meet them and we discussed at length about their history and what I wanted to gain from the training. She keeps you informed as well throughout the process. It made me feel better about sending them off for 2 weeks. Both dogs came back well behaved especially on walks...no more pulling and jumping! We initially were going to only send Maggie off. She has anxiety issues and we weren't sure how she'd do but on her first day back we saw how well she responded to sabrina and was so amazed that we sent Boomer off too! Maggie is more balanced these days and she is improving everyday by following sabrina's guidance and advice. she is happier than before. Now that both have gone through training they can be boarded with sabrina whenever we go away. This is a great perk! I've done other boarding places in the past and I've stayed away from them ever since Boomer got bit. It's usually run by untrained individuals and I always worry. But at balanced obedience I know all dogs are balanced and have been personally trained by Sabrina as well as watched over by her during playtime. I never have to worry about them. What an amazing experience! We have a highly intelligent and stubborn cattle dog...aka" Australian Blue Heeler". This is a long overdue review, but about 1.5 - 2 years after using Sabrina's services I am still regretting it till this day with permanent consequences. It is partially my fault because our 6 month old puppy (at the time) wasn't that bad to begin with, she was having issues with potty training, and barking (not obsessive but more than we preferred), when I scolded her she paid no mind because there were no real disciplinary actions. Well one thing our dog did learn from her time with Sabrina was FEAR, she was terrified of us and Sabrina when she brought her back. The biggest change I noticed in our dog is that she is super skittish around people, she won't let strangers touch her, and doesn't trust humans in general besides my family members. This was a huge giveaway that something isn't right. She also flinches when I throw her toys, and bows her head when I scold her like she thinks I'm going to hit her (I've never ever physically hit my dogs). When we got our dog back after the two weeks Sabrina had her in a prong collar and encouraged us to continue using it, we discontinued using it after the first night since she'd run every time we brought it out. She also gave me a crate to use for her to continue her potty training THAT WAS WAY TOO SMALL! I know the dogs are not supposed to have room to walk around when crate training but she could not even turn around, and when she laid down her paw would stick out of the bars, this is probably the crate she had to squeeze in during her stay. She was also very confused the first two weeks and was peeing and pooping EVERYWHERE, worse than she was before the training. Overall it was the biggest mistake I've ever made as a dog owner, and I regret sending her there every single day (being almost two years later). I should've known when she said we are not allowed to check the facility, huge red flag. read more

We called several places to get a service dog to assist a child with autism. We got rejected my most agencies because there's not a "physical" limitation that the dog would be helping with. We came across Balanced Obedience. Sabrina (with Balanced Obedience) met with us and said she doesn't have a lot of experience with autism but can get us a "service dog" at a reasonable price. Sabrina gave us a one year-old golden-doodle; she said she was fully trained and ready to go. She said that once the "bond" between the child and the dog was there, she would provide "in-home" training to help us teach the dog specific tasks. When Sabrina dropped off the dog, we paid her (a reasonable service-dog price) and she stayed for about an hour to show us basic obedience commands. After three months of the dog being in our home, we realized that the dog was not where she should have been. She was defecating in public places (inside Target, etc.), she was smelling others, she was afraid of everything (other dogs, elevators, loud noises, man hole covers, bikes, skateboards, shiny objects, etc.). We asked Sabrina to come out and help us. It was like pulling teeth to get her to come to our house. When she came by, she was irritated; she left the van running and came to the door and said, "What do you need?" Uh... well, where is the "in-home training" that was promised? Mililani was a far drive for her. So we asked her if we could come to her and watch her in action. She said, "No one is allowed on our farm." Hmm... If we can't go to her and she refuses to come to us, how are we going to finish the training? Sabrina said there is a problem with our leadership and that is why our golden-doodle is not obeying us. She said her training is effective and she is not having any problems with any of her other placements - only us, therefore it is us and our leadership. (If her training is effective, why doesn't she train us as handlers as she promised? We know nothing about training service dogs, which is why we came to her.) Sabrina gave us an E-collar to "shock" her into obedience (which we never used). She also gave us the "obedience" collars (which we did use). She said we are to treat the dog like she is "medical equipment"; she gets "no affection" from us as handlers (people don't give affection to medical equipment); she needs to stay at our feet - like white carpet. We told Sabrina that we were getting kicked out of public places, so she gave us certificates and ID cards to show people. The certificates said we had 120 hours of in-home training. Complete lie! She has spent a total of about 1.5 hours (in totality) at our house - not even 120 minutes, let alone 120 hours. Due to all the problems we were having, I think Sabrina thought we were going to give her back. She offered to give our dog a "two-week boot-camp". She took the dog for two weeks and brought her back and said she should be good-to-go. Nothing changed. Same issues. At this point in time, we felt sorry for the dog and decided to keep her as a pet (or get her additional service-dog training from another agency). Our dog, Ellie, a German Shepard/border collie, did not get along with other dogs and also had severe separation anxiety. Those two problems are now gone. I am not the best dog-mommy in the world. I am definitely not the best dog-leader. But Sabrina is helping in training me and my dog. I have a Baussie, a neurotic, adorable, mix of Border Collie and Australian Shepard. She is super smart, super hyper, super loving, and super neurotic. The dog attacks her reflection in the screen door, you open it, she runs outside to try and find the dog that was just there a moment ago. Winter had problems. She was a jumper, she attacked people she thought were hurting me or my daughter, she herd children, she nipped, she pulled on a leash... I mean if there was a problem a dog can have this one had it. I would be in tears because of this dog. I love her dearly but she tried my patience more than my four year old. I think Sabrina mentioned once that at least I had a toddler that listened well because my dog doesn't. I e-mailed Sabrina and set up a consultation to go over just what my dog needed. It turned out to be puppy boot camp. Sabrina took Winter for three weeks. She kept her a little longer than the time we agreed on just to make sure I got a good dog back. Or at least a good base. Puppy Baussies, like I said, are worse than toddlers. Winter came back a changed dog. A semi-good dog. She needs work, constantly, and I've failed at always pulling my weight to making her a good dog. Sabrina still has patiences with me too and always comes out to my house whenever I need her to go over the proper techniques to showing Winter who is the boss. Anytime I've needed her she has been there. I've sent Winter multiples time to her dog camp. She provides not only training but the tools you'll likely need for it. For example she let us try a bark collar (that didn't work) has brought a holt, a training collar, a muzzle (because Winter decided to bite someone) and numerous other things. And I found out my neighbor uses her. My neighbor came out while Sabrina and I were working with Winter. They talked briefly about a problem my neighbor had with her Poodles ears and Sabrina told her how to fix it, got ear drops from her car, just like that! This woman is amazing. I think she has an entire dog-store inside her car... Anyway, Sabrina is remarkable. I can't wait to send Winter back to her for some more doggie-bootcamp. She truly cares about your animal. My husband and I adopted a 16 month old male German Shepherd and had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Our GSD, Kane (his previous owners called him Bane so we had to change that), came to us from a questionable background of malnourishment, maltreatment, and poor socialization. About a week after adopting him we took him to the vet for a wellness check and he bit the vet tech in the face, causing her to go into shock. Needless to say, we were also in shock. We started looking around for dog trainers who can deal with such extreme aggression/situations and found Sabrina. Sabrina was very prompt in returning our emailed request for training. She came over and did an evaluation on Kane (and us!). After assessing Kane she recommended neutering him before sending him to Balanced Obedience. The next week we had him neutered and she picked him up from our house just three weeks later. Throughout Kane's three weeks at doggy boot camp my husband and I missed Kane like crazy-but Sabrina kept us updated through text about Kane's behaviors. We were seriously worried that he might be aggressive with Sabrina. Sabrina sent us a training manual at the end of boot camp and she brought Kane back home. The first time we saw Kane we were in shock--it was like she and Danny (her husband who also trains the dogs) had replaced our dog! She gave us training on how to handle Kane and further his doggy education. She had us walk around the block together to demonstrate how well he now was on the leash. It was amazing! We can't say enough about how much of a transformation it was. He listens to us and he focuses while walking (only a brief glance at anyone or dog that we pass while walking). She also left us training supplies that has been very helpful- a hati collar, a dominant dog collar, a prong collar, an aerosol pet corrector, a basket muzzle, and a new leash. He has been home now for five weeks and we have taken him hiking, trail running, and to the beach, with no concerns (though we do keep him muzzled for interactions). Sabrina has come to our house to re-evaluate Kane with his dog to dog interactions. She even brought over three different dogs with varying levels of dominance. He did extremely well and that goes to show that she really trained us on how important it is to follow her guidelines--otherwise the training will be undone. We are thrilled with our experience with Sabrina and Danny at Balanced Obedience! We had a lot of issues with our dog that were resolved with the doggie boot camp. I am so grateful to Sabrina and her team for all the work they did on my Pomeranian Tofu! Before sending her off to Doggie Boot Camp, my dog was a mess - she would chew up wires, bark like there was an earthquake about to happen, jump on everyone and anyone, and not listen to any commands. I couldn't even get sleep for the past few days and had to resort to sleeping in my car because my dog became too bothersome! Of course, I loved her too much to give her away, or resort to re-homing, so like a good doggie parent, I decided to send her to get some training. Upon arrival, Sabrina was incredibly friendly. She evaluated my dog, and from the moment she saw her, she knew that Tofu had behavior problems. We went over what I wanted out of the training, and what would be best for Tofu. Throughout the two weeks, I was able to contact Sabrina regarding the well-being of my dog, and her progress. She was prompt in her replies, and answered my questions thoroughly! Upon return, Tofu was a little more than excited to see me, so she couldn't exactly show me what she learned, but the next few days proved that she was a changed dog! No more jumping on me, no more excessive barking, she waits when she wants to eat, and remains fairly calm! Sabrina also gave me a TON of training supplies (more than what was expected) to ensure that Tofu would be well off. Ive spent a couple weeks trying to figure out how to best write this review. First and foremost the work Sabrina and her team did was nothing short of amazing. I was stunned at the amount of obedience they were able to instill in my puppy in just 3 weeks.      I have an Australian Cattle Dog, working breed, highly intelligent and most importantly, stubborn as an old man! So i was initially wanting to find someone to teach me how to start her on the right path. After finding Balanced Obedience online and doing my research i decided the cost was worth the hype, and to my surprise it was even better.      My now 5 month old cattle dog is the best behaved dog wherever we go. Stress free outings, i dont have to worry about MY dog anymore. What in the past has taken me years to do without any formal training took only 3 weeks. Sit, down, stay, heel, walking on leash, house trained and crate trained with no fuss. Not to mention the often forgotten advantage of being socialized with other dogs and people. Which isnt something that can be taught, they simply have to have the experience.      To leave you with some advice, remember that Sabrina builds an excellent foundation for your dog, you still have to reinforce those trainings and stick with the regiment. She's incredibly knowledgeable and will answer any question you have with honesty as well as give you an honest and accurate assessment of your pup. When we took our 18 month old American Bully to her he was very nervous, lacked confidence, uncomfortable going for walks on the leash, no social skills, and lacked an overall foundation that he should've gotten as a puppy. Kana was kept in an outside kennel for the first 10 months of his life before we adopted him which didn't allow him to develop properly. Highly recommend this business! We needed help with our 5 yr old Catahoula rescue dog. She was anxious, nervous, walking her was very challenging. So we enrolled her in doggie boot camp for 3 weeks. Service included pick up, drop off and an hour of training us on proper commands. We also were given the right equipment to handle our strong 65lb dog. I've filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau. Sabrina abuses animals. We only requested boarding, not obedience training. We specifically asked Sabrina not to discipline our dog. Our poor puppy now flinches when anyone raises a hand or tosses a toy. She is not the same dog -- and this is now two weeks on from the stay. This is confirmed by independent observers. The address Sabrina provides on this website is not the true address -- why? Strongly recommend look elsewhere and report any negative experiences. If you must pursue this option, request to go see the facilities first. Why does she go out of her way at strange hours to come pick up your pet?? Why not let you drop it off? I was excited to send my dog to a 2-week bootcamp and was communicating with the owner on getting that set up by email. I had requested and got approved a date to begin services. After asking for a total payment amount in my last email, I received no response. I followed up with another email and still received no response one month later. In years past when we have come to visit our children, we could always count on a less than desirable welcome from our grandpup, Josey Wales.  He has always been a very rambunctious blue heeler who thinks crotch sniffing and arm chewing is the best way to say how do you do.  Poppop has the scars to prove it.  For Lovey, her words are always, "no, no...down dog" to no avail.   At night he would often crouch under a cabinet and growl and pounce at your feet as you passed by.  After his stint at doggie boot camp, he is a completely different dog.  He sits quietly in his crate or at our feet, waiting politely for an invitation to interact.  No more loud barking, jumping,  slobbery unwelcome licks.  It's almost like a completely different dog.  I have never particularly liked animals to invade my space, but now I can happily coexist with a much better behaved grandpup.  Now if we could just send Poppop to boot camp so that he could get his dogs to behave!! read more

After reading all the rave reviews my boyfriend and I decided to email this group about training for our 13 week old puppy. We wanted to set up training for him, and both had high hopes that they would reach out to us within a short time to get things set up.....unfortunately I am disheartened to say that a week later we still have not received a call or email back. That's a disappointment because we really want the best trainer that we can get for him......finger crossed that we hear something back this weekend..otherwise, we will just have to go with someone else. read more

When we adopted a rescue puppy, we knew we'd have our hands full as he matured. Training was an absolute must for us -- an obedient dog is a happy dog and happy owners! We worked with him for a few weeks prior to the Holidays and started to notice a few areas that needed extra attention. Knowing we were leaving to the mainland for the Holidays, we decided to not only find a boarding facility, but to find one that would provide a training camp at the same time (two birds with one stone, yay!) Google brought us Balanced Obedience and I immediately sent an inquiry e-mail. At first I called with no response, but reading deeper into her website she clearly states e-mail is preferred. Sabrina's response was extremely detailed. Yes, the price was high (sticker shock), but you have to understand what you're getting. Sabrina and Danny provide a full on, no joke, the real deal, training camp for dogs of all ages. They do this out of their own facility on their own property. We decided Puppy Boot Camp was the right choice for our dog and luckily, Sabrina had space available during the time frame we requested. She even gave us multiple discounts and accepted half the payment in the beginning, and half the payment at the end. Very considerate business practice. Sabrina updates her Facebook page and sends text messages during the training time, because let me tell you you're going to miss your pooch while he/she's gone! I really appreciated the updates. She picks up and delivers the dog. Upon delivery post his training, we had a new dog on our hands. It was extremely overwhelming, I'd be lying if I didn't include this fact. He had just completed a very strict training program and as the owner, I had to learn the new techniques (she trains the owner too, otherwise what's the point of it all?) and I had to learn how to interact with a trained dog, nervous that I might "undo" all the hard work. I probably put more pressure on myself then I needed to, but again, just saying what I went through. WOW, what a difference. Everything he did impressed me. On walks, he didn't pull on the leash (and he's still a pup, they want to explore everything!) If I stopped walking, he sat. He was using the bathroom on command. Not jumping on furniture unless invited. Kennel trained (by far the one area we needed the most help on!!!) Not saying he likes his kennel still, but he tolerates it with NO barking. The list goes on and on for what Sabrina and Danny helped us and our dog with. Sabrina also delivered a variety of training tools upon his return. Each and every tool has helped continue our dog's training to this day. Sabrina's services are continual. She'll respond to e-mail questions, and will provide "tune up" sessions if necessary. Now that our pup is getting to his defiant teenage stages, we may send him back for a tune up. But all the initial training he learned at Balanced Obedience has stuck with him. I've also used Balanced Obedience to board our dog for the weekend when I took a trip. He loves Sabrina. Maybe her rigorous training regiment isn't for everyone, but it sure works. If you're serious about training your dog, Balanced Obedience is the way to go. I get compliments every single day on our little guy. I am a VERY happy pup Mom! read more

Sabrina not only trained our rescue Tommy but we also continue to board him with her. Tommy had a tough life prior to our adopting him and Sabrina helped him adjust to life in a loving environment. We couldn't be more pleased with Tommy's behavior and also how we can rest assured when we board him he is well taken care of. My dog was (is) crazy. Super adorable, SUPER hyper lab/golden mix. As a puppy, we tried other obedience schools and none worked; my dog continued to be a terror. A terrible, terrible terror. Think Marley & Me. Sabrina is amazing. After 3 weeks at the farm, pup came back a thousand times better. Every time we go out of town, pup goes back to Sabrina and comes back a little better every time. I now have an adorable, hyper, but well trained dog that is no longer a terror. Best thing? She LOVES going to visit with Sabrina. I honestly can't say enough amazing things about Sabrina. She's so good with the dogs and so good at explaining to you how to keep up training at home. I just got my Australian Cattle Dog Murphy back from the Doggie Boot Camp program yesterday after he was gone for three weeks. Let me just tell you - the dog I sent with Sabrina was a nervous, highly reactive nightmare that had zero manners and walked all over me. Don't get me wrong; he's a total sweetheart and an awesome companion but it got to the point where I didn't even want to walk my dog anymore. :( That's not what's supposed to happen!! Well, after months of trying it my own way (I tried click to calm training, behavior adjustment training, and counter conditioning) I finally emailed Balanced Obedience. After a quick email exchange, Sabrina was at my home evaluating Murphy, Sabrina immediately knew where I went wrong and what he needed to get back on track. During the training, she sent me lots of texts and reassurance that my dog was on his way to being a model citizen. When he got back, he was so much calmer and well behaved. She taught me everything I needed to know in a quick and simple way so that I couldn't mess it up. It was so wonderful to be able to walk my dog and feel like I was in control and could expect him to behave appropriately. After so much time avoiding everyone and everything on walks, it was the most amazing thing to feel liberated like that!
