Good authentic Mexican food, for sure! But the best in this place is the modern look and cosmopolitan sense it has - everything is built and organized with the most attention and you can notice the mix of inspirations. Absolute great tacos and even bolder flavor cocktails. The cocktails are mostly tequila and mezcal based with a modern twist. We tried most of the vegetarian options - all of their tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and a couple more things. Drinks could be a little bit bigger to be honest. Price was quite rough for Mexican food, but at the same time it's understandable, there aren't too many places where the food is as authentic. Love the massive range of fresh salsas they give you to try with the meal. Besides that, you will also find the best staff and playlists in Lisbon here. If you like Mexican food and trendy places you can't miss one. During our one week of stay in Lisbon we went to this place for dinner twice. The huitlacoche was quite tasty! Think mushroom flavor, surrounded by a cheese crusted tortilla. I enjoyed it way more than I thought. My parents like their chicken tacos but we were all disappointed by the rice, which could have been cooked a bit longer. Overall though, not the worst tacos I've had in my life. I have a hunch that LX Factory is slightly more fun if you stop and enjoy a drink, perhaps on a sunny Sunday afternoon. That's the day that they feature the outdoor "Sunday Market" at which (hopefully) they feature a wider array of unique art and/or handmade offerings. I spent long enough in Lisbon that I didn't regret making time for the LX Market but if I'd had only a short time to see the city I'd not have been happy having spent any time here at all.

The cod itself was delicious and fried to perfection with a crisp exterior and flaky interior. Unfortunately, the wasabi mashed potatoes weren't a good match for my palate and overpowered the dish for me. My partner enjoyed the vegetables that accompanied his meal, but he found the sea bass somewhat underwhelming and not particularly memorable. For two people, including food and drinks, our bill came to about €89, which I felt was a moderate price for Lisbon. While the food experience wasn't the strongest part of our visit, Peixola is still a great place to relax, enjoy a drink, listen to good music, and spend time with friends or a partner. After a long tourist day I came here and staff was so friendly. I really liked that you get a "starter" (Nachos) and a bottle of water for free. Hell, yes. We do need this in Germany as well. ;) Food was very delicious. And I tried a dessert, even when I am not a big fan of desserts. However, what I saw on the menu was not to ignored. I ordered a glas (I didn't know in advance that this is actually for 2) with avocado with chocolate and nuts. Sounds weird, isn't it? But worth to try. It was really delicious. :) So from my point of view 5 stars are totally fine. Just go there and check it out.

Bifanas are a classic Portuguese sandwich made with simmered pork. It's a fast, cheap meal across…read morethe country - and arguably no place is as famous for these as As Bifanas do Afonso. It's a tiny takeout-only counter, but the lines can get very long here. When I arrived, it was mid-afternoon, so only about five or so people. They're very quick with the food as well - I got mine, the classic one (no cheese), about a minute after ordering. The sandwich overall was pretty good. It's not meant to be a full meal - more like a snack or a breakfast type - it's not very large. The pork is alright, but a little tough. It's not very juicy, as there are certain parts that feel leather-ish. It did grow on me as I kept eating though, and towards the end I started to like it more. The bread is actually quite good; crispy on the top and yet the hollowed-out inside stays fluffy. They have mustard and chili oil on a side table for you to add - and this is much needed. The moisture from these helps so much with the sandwich, and especially the mustard just adds that different flavor that prevents it from being just plain pork. Oh yeah, and it's super cheap - at just 3 euros. Overall, it's not amazing food, but for how cheap it is it gets the job done. 8/10
