A quick search of pizza spots in Lisbon gave us this place, and since it was near to where we planned to be come dinnertime, we decided to give it a shot, and up the hill we went...
Simplesmente is located on one of the pedestrian alleyway-like streets in Barrio Alto, making it a great spot to hang out before hitting up the Lisbon nightlife.
When we arrived, there were only two other people eating and a couple of reserved tables, so we were told to take a free spot. The vegetarian options are pretty extensive (compared to a lot of places in Lisbon) so we ordered one with garlic and olives and another with eggplant.
The pizzas came out sliced into little bite-sized pizzas, and were served with toothpicks as opposed to traditional silverware. Apparently this is their "thing," and it's cute, easy, and memorable.
More importantly, the pizza was tasty and priced well (for two pizzas and two sodas, we paid €24, including tip).
By the time we left, the place was packed. With only 16 spots to sit inside, I think it fills up fast, so if you really want to eat here, play it safe and get a reservation. read more
