Fellow Mexican food lover friends pointed us in this direction, we made our reservation and arrived hungry on 3 Dec 2024 with great anticipation. Surprisingly, the absence of fresh ingredients (stale chips, anemic tomatoes, dry chicken and rice) and unwillingness to accommodate a basic food sensitivity, crowned with largely flat service provided an unexpected disappointing experience. When we requested that the rice be left out of one of the burritos, our server very politely but flatly twice refused to even ask the kitchen staff. We were made to understand that whatever goes into the burritos is already pre-mixed? On the positive side, the guacamole was fresh and delicious. Plus the space is immaculate, and the decor and artwork here are fun, colorful and interesting. To round things out we used a 30% discount offer that popped up. Otherwise, if in search of fresh, authentic Mexican food, steer clear, and be thankful that there are plenty of other dining choices in the way cool LX Factory area. read more

This place is just great. I visited LX Factory yesterday and I knew that I want to eat here soon. So here we go. Today was the day where I could have my dinner. After a long tourist day I came here and staff was so friendly. I really liked that you get a "starter" (Nachos) and a bottle of water for free. Hell, yes. We do need this in Germany as well. ;) Food was very delicious. And I tried a dessert, even when I am not a big fan of desserts. However, what I saw on the menu was not to ignored. I ordered a glas (I didn't know in advance that this is actually for 2) with avocado with chocolate and nuts. Sounds weird, isn't it? But worth to try. Great place to stop for a bite in the Factory LX area. The Maracuya Sangria with Mazcal was on point. I didn't want anything heavy as it was super hot out and I wasn't that hungry. I ordered the black rice with chickpeas marinated in yogurt. It was super refreshing and flavorful. The chickpeas were tender and creamy. My had a bit of my BF's vegetarian burrito which was also very good. read more

We came here for lunch while checking out LX Factory. We were informed that they were out of everything pork, which severely limited options since over half the menu items were porky. Instead, we ordered guac and chips, steak tacos, steak burrito, plus a margarita to top things off. The guac was a little too limey, the chips extremely salty. The tacos weren't bad, and the burrito was quite good despite the fact they used quinoa instead of rice. The burrito came with chips doused in sour cream and a bit of salsa, which I wasn't particularly fond of. The margarita was ok. The most disappointing part was how expensive the meal was. read more

LX factory is a little alley/strip of cute shops, restaurants and bars. We took shots here after spending $$$$ at Rio Marvilha (this place was in the same strip like 2 buildings down?). We ordered our shots, and let me tell you- it's an open, family friendly restaurant. People were watching us awkwardly take shots but we just wanted to get in and get out. We were kind of in the front of the whole restaurant so there was no private space to be silly and stupid - I recommend coming here for drinks, get a table and do maybe snacks and shots? then leave - if you're standing there its kind of awkward and I dont think the staff likes it. Otherwise, the bartenders were really nice and accommodating. We ordered shots- he said he'll make us a tequila mixed drink to make into shots, and they were so good that we had them twice! (11 euros for one mixed drink which yields 8ish full shots?) Once again, shots aren't common in Lisbon so they'll either give you straight liquor or a mixed drink - he gave us the idea for the mixed drinks becoming shots so it worked out :D -takes CC, good ambiance, open layout to dine, reasonably priced read more

The BEST quesadilla I have ever had. The BBQ one was amazing. I should have ate two and got one to go. The chips were also good, would not recommend the margaritas. Not very flavorful or strong. Also, if you sit outside beware that it is easy to get sun burnt. The outside was cool as is everything in the area, you can spend a whole day wondering the block. Which we did. read more

Randomly found this place because it popped up on my Instagram. It's location in a really cool artsy area called LX Factory. Get there early to go through all the cool shops. We got the veggie burrito (okay) and the skirt steak entree which was out of this world. read more

Food was awesome, I love when places do food that's better than the authentic version. Service was very awkward, although we didn't speak Portuguese, and the margarita was insanely sour. We sent the drinks back and they did a great job of fixing it. We weren't blown away, but had a good time and food was spot on. read more

We were wondering through the LX Factory area and were drawn in by the ambient house music and cool atmosphere and looking of this place. After waiting about 15 minutes for a server to notice us we finally got menus. Traditional Mexican food with a modern twist. The margaritas were incredible and the tacos were good as well though I'm not sure I'm a fan of the potato/fries on them. I would definitely recommend this place for the drinks and the atmosphere, not as much the service. read more

Nice spot in LX Factory. Wife and a good friend ate there and had phenomenal service by the owner/manager. I had veggie tacos. The hot sauce is hot. Good drinks and they have a luchador ring inside the restaurant that you can eat inside. *Owner showed us his Biggie tattoo when we told him my wife and boy were from Brooklyn. Tattoo was in a suspicious place on his body but this shows you how hospitable the place is. read more

Super fun stop at the LX Factory ('El Sheesh' if you're local), noting that there aren't a ton of Mexican restaurants in Lisbon so it's that much more exotic in context. I had a couple of the spicy margaritas (brilliant) & a vegetarian burrito where the vegetables were fresh & lively instead of flat & bland & grilled to hell. Very cool decor, too, great place for drinks with friends. I guess I have to tell this story, too, I'd been there a while when this American couple sits down behind me, & the dude was one of these curt serious overachiever types with an opinion about everything, & he's reading down through the menu out loud & shoveling out all kinds of commentary ("I wonder how fresh the guacamole is...the pork's probably greasy..."), & as the conversation turns, without the slightest change in tone or delivery, he says to the gal with him "I like it when your hair's down...when you wear it up it makes your head look disproportionate." Hidden behind other stores, This was a nice find within the LX factory. After eating so much seafood in Portugal, we wanted to see how this Mexican restaurant would taste for a change. The interior is Luchador themed and fun! The food was good; we got the camarones tacos, pollo tacos, guacamole, and horchata. We both didn't enjoy the camarones tacos because it was too salty and had only two pieces of small shrimp with a lot of the saltier ham. We did enjoy the pollo tacos and guacamole though! The horchata was pretty good, though it was kind of simple, mainly the clean, simple milky taste with a fragrance i couldn't put my finger on and cinnamon. read more

I love their quesadilla (meaty and sweet, almost like mu-shu with duck sauce), and fish tacos. The folks who work here are lovely, and the owner is marvelous. Good food but such terrible service. There's tons of waitstaff but they are hanging out at the bar eating. They are all running around like they are busy but the tables don't have drinks. The kitchen is quick. Food came out really fast once we were able to place an order. Would've loved another drink but no one came. It's was ok, definitely not the worst food I had in Portugal. A lot of the options have barbecue sauce or cheeses that don't normally go in tacos or burritos. I tried one of the tacos and it was just strange expecting saltiness and getting pure sweetness. Also don't expect to find anything close to spicy, while they do have piru piru hot sauce it's just not the same. read more

We had a lovely time here. Both the service and the food was delightful. Sangria excellent. We had the guacamole, quesadillas and chicken burrito and all were delicious. My husband is a burrito expert and he gave it a thumbs up. Most importantly both of the owners came over to the table to chat with us after the meal. They were genuinely interested in our experience and looking for ways to make their restaurant even better. I was delighted to talk to each of them and it made the evening special. This is probably one of the worst places I've ever visited. Our server (unfortunately we don't have her name) was horrible. She was rude and disrespectful to the point where I felt like I'd rather leave than sit and eat in a restaurant where good service is the last of their worries. Love this restaurant!!! Stumbled upon it while roaming around LX Factory and had such a great dinner/experience! The staff welcomed us and immediately sat us down and were ready to help us. The margaritas were all delicious - our group of four each tried a different one. The food was even better and the dessert churros were AMAZING! We were lucky enough to have the owner as our waiter who was so nice and made sure we were well taken care of. Can't wait to visit Lisbon again and come back for more! read more
