Good authentic Mexican food, for sure! But the best in this place is the modern look and cosmopolitan sense it has - everything is built and organized with the most attention and you can notice the mix of inspirations. Absolute great tacos and even bolder flavor cocktails. The cocktails are mostly tequila and mezcal based with a modern twist. We tried most of the vegetarian options - all of their tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and a couple more things. Drinks could be a little bit bigger to be honest. Price was quite rough for Mexican food, but at the same time it's understandable, there aren't too many places where the food is as authentic. Love the massive range of fresh salsas they give you to try with the meal. Besides that, you will also find the best staff and playlists in Lisbon here. If you like Mexican food and trendy places you can't miss one. During our one week of stay in Lisbon we went to this place for dinner twice. After a long tourist day I came here and staff was so friendly. I really liked that you get a "starter" (Nachos) and a bottle of water for free. Hell, yes. We do need this in Germany as well. ;) Food was very delicious. And I tried a dessert, even when I am not a big fan of desserts. However, what I saw on the menu was not to ignored. I ordered a glas (I didn't know in advance that this is actually for 2) with avocado with chocolate and nuts. Sounds weird, isn't it? But worth to try. It was really delicious. :) So from my point of view 5 stars are totally fine. Just go there and check it out.

Nor did I arrive angling for a cocktail. I expected to see art and unique artsy products for sale but after I wandered the shops on the ground floor and what was open on the second floor I left with, basically, a shoulder-shrug. I'd found only two places here (a bookstore and a sort-of-camera store) that really caught my interest and the rest seemed not to feature anything that I liked more than things that I'd seen for sale elsewhere in town. I have a hunch that LX Factory is slightly more fun if you stop and enjoy a drink, perhaps on a sunny Sunday afternoon. That's the day that they feature the outdoor "Sunday Market" at which (hopefully) they feature a wider array of unique art and/or handmade offerings. I spent long enough in Lisbon that I didn't regret making time for the LX Market but if I'd had only a short time to see the city I'd not have been happy having spent any time here at all.

I ended up ordering the Huitlacoche tacos while my family ordered a set of chicken tacos and a side of arroz verde. Servers were very helpful and our food came out fast! The huitlacoche was quite tasty! Think mushroom flavor, surrounded by a cheese crusted tortilla. I enjoyed it way more than I thought. My parents like their chicken tacos but we were all disappointed by the rice, which could have been cooked a bit longer. Overall though, not the worst tacos I've had in my life. Would recommend if you're looking for something familiar!

Our drinks arrived quickly, and the staff remained attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout the evening. The service was honestly the highlight of our visit. The shrimp tacos were very fresh...perhaps a little too fresh for my preference. The shrimp had not been fully deveined, so I ended up cleaning them myself before eating. As someone who only eats deveined shrimp and fish, that was disappointing. The codfish entrée was an interesting experience. The cod itself was delicious and fried to perfection with a crisp exterior and flaky interior. Unfortunately, the wasabi mashed potatoes weren't a good match for my palate and overpowered the dish for me. My partner enjoyed the vegetables that accompanied his meal, but he found the sea bass somewhat underwhelming and not particularly memorable. For two people, including food and drinks, our bill came to about €89, which I felt was a moderate price for Lisbon. While the food experience wasn't the strongest part of our visit, Peixola is still a great place to relax, enjoy a drink, listen to good music, and spend time with friends or a partner.
