Was a little busy and noisy, but expected on a Sunday and the people working got us through the line fast. I got an egg sandwich, oreo croissant, and eclair and my friend got a cream cheese bun and onion bun. My friend enjoyed her food she said it would have been better heated but still good. My egg sandwich was amazing. The oreo croissant was disappointing as I hoped for a little more flavor, or something inside the croissant. The eclair was good but not a lot of filling. I'm a huge fan of the self-serving concept this establishment has. It's sanitary as they have an enclosed space for the fresh baked goods as well as more cakes and custards behind the glass at the front. I ordered a Taro milk tea with the intention of only having ONLY taro, however, I was served a classic milk tea with a splash of Taro.. I unfortunately was not a fan of this drink as classic milk teas have an interesting after taste. One thing I wish they could offer is warming up what you bring to the front before they wrap your baked goods. Everyone should be talking about this place! It's one of the cutest bakeries in Orlando. A playground for anyone with a sweet tooth. Custom cakes, milk teas, and more. The cakes here are so cute! The Japanese cheesecake is my absolute favorite. The golden onion is a close second. But don't sleep on the savory options here too. The hotdog here is amazing! The popcorn chicken is even better. And I highly recommend the dumplings. I'm not even a huge fan of boba and milk tea, but after coming here I think I am now. I had the Cotten candy milk tea, which sounded like it would be too sweet, but it was absolutely perfect. That, with the strawberry boba, was so delicious. The decor here is so fun too! Got here on Saturday around 5:30pm but there was not many selections left. Given that they close at 8pm I would've expected to have few more options to choose from. The one bakery I did grab was tasty and the bread was really soft. The drink was also not bad, though for milk tea, I would probably go to a specialized shop rather than a bakery. The inside was very well designed, bright and modern. It's mostly self serve if you're there to grab bakery, so can't say much on service. I didn't order food from the menu but they had quite a big selection of hot snacks to choose from. A unique Asian bakery that is definitely worth trying! The bakery side is serve-yourself style, you get your own tray and tongs and choose whichever pastries you want. Sadly my third visit to Bakery 1908 was very disappointing. The two buns I got were both bland and had barely any filling. The BBQ pork sesame bun was all bread and the tiny pieces of thin BBQ pork were not very flavorful and dry. Tlmy husband got the curry chicken bun and it was also lacking in flavor and barely had any stuffing. They had a lot of moon cake options though. My daughter & I finally made it to Bakery 1908 Orlando I had my Asian Bakery Fix! And loved it! We got all our favs, and some to go lol! Yall.... We literally flew there, just to eat this weekend. Everything came out warm and delicious. We had pineapple buns, hotdog, ham corn & cheese. We then went back for seconds and had the cream filled with the coconut on top as well as the egg tart. And drinks I enjoyed lychee mango iced tea, and my daughter had an iced caramel coffee. I used to work for two different Asian Daycare here in NY.... So this were such a treat. Pretty fun bakery and café experience with a very diverse menu, including Asian baked goods, bubble tea, cakes and puddings, soup dumplings, taiwanese street food, and dim sum offerings. Overall, I thought everything was a bit overpriced compared to 85C, and by the time we got there around 4:30 PM, most of the bakery items were sold out. The bakery itself was nicely formatted and very aesthetically pleasing. I ended up getting the coconut cream bun which was a good balance of softness and a slight firmness with each bite. The cream is also light and airy but not too sweet. Bakery 1908 definitely gives a welcoming ambiance to stay, enjoy your meal/pastries, chat, and head on out. Ok this place is adorable, it can get busy but the atmosphere is so pleasing. Went 2 times on a trip to FL because I was so obsessed after the first time we went. Of the bakery side of things, we got the pistachio croissant (9/10), taro donut (7/10), strawberry cream filled bun (8/10), peach cream filled bun (10/10), coconut cream bun (7/10), and the matcha crepe cake (4/10). All of these were fantastic, I found myself only disliking the matcha cake because of the bitterness, but it is an acquired taste. We also ordered food, the chicken feet + ramen with roasted duck, and both were very flavorful and delicious. As for drinks my group got the ube boba tea, Thai boba tea, and a butterfly pea sparkling drink, and all were very tasty. I was really excited to try this place when I heard a new Asian bakery opened up. Walking in, the interior is very pretty and it's incredibly spacious, which I find to be rare at asian bakeries. I had a good first impression, but the food was unfortunately not satisfying. Oddly, they don't offer to heat up their bread/pastries. All of the asian bakeries I've gone to in Orlando provide that option since the bread typically has been sitting out for hours. When I asked, they said they don't do that, so my bread was quite cold and slightly hard. I did like the popcorn chicken, but I found that the dumplings were a bit overpriced for what they were. Also, the thai milk tea I ordered honestly did not taste like it at all. Thai tea has a pretty distinct flavor, and the one here tastes more like honey milk tea -- although I do find the packaging to be adorable. If you're a germaphobe, I suggest not serving yourself with the bakery items. The tongs are hung out for people to touch and grab whenever, I couldn't help but think about all the fingers that touched the end of the tongs. But anyway, we got a few things from the bakery that were delicious. My favorite was the blueberry cinnamon roll. The egg rolls were good but just a little too salty for me. Dumplings were good. This is a semi-self serve spot where baked goods are behind cases. You grab a tray and tongs and pick what baked goods you want. At the register you can order drinks. The soy latte with cheese foam was ok. It didn't taste like coffee. I will need to try just an espresso shot and milk next time to really decide if the coffee is decent. The selection of baked goods around 9am was still filling up, so we had limited options. Dumplings don't start until 11, which was a bummer. We will have to come back and try those next time. I've visited this place countless times as it is my favorite place to get buns in Orlando. The interior is well-lit, nicely decorated, and very clean. The staff are both friendly and efficient. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Note that they get very busy especially on the weekends. They regularly restock their buns throughout the day, but they will run out. Some of our favorite buns include the golden onion roll, ham and cheese bun, pineapple bun, roast pork bun, and coconut cream bun. Their egg tarts are fantastic, one of my favorite Asian bakery items growing up. I also enjoy their drinks, the black sesame milk tea being my personal favorite. THe dim sum is tasty, and the dumplings are notably large. However, the 1908 tofu didn't quite meet my expectations, despite them noting it as an award-winning appetizer. One feature I particularly appreciate is the self-serve station near the entrance/exit stocked with plates, utensils, chili oil, to-go boxes, etc. - it's incredibly convenient. Overall, while their buns are fantastic, the prices are on the higher side. Despite this, I absolutely love coming here and will continue to do so. For dim sum, I'd likely just keep going to a regular dim sum restaurant unless I only want one or two plates. Side note: they have a rewards program, look for a blue sign in their restaurant and scan the QR code to join. read more

A blink and you miss it bakery, Bakery 1908 is a relatively new bakery located on Colonial Drive in Orlando. I was here a little bit ago and the only thing I don't like about this place is the parking, but that has no affect on how amazing the bakery, staff and food is here. I love the wide open layout and the fact you are able to order anything you want, when it comes to hot foods, at the counter or touch screen kiosks. While I didn't have any food to sit down and eat, I did buy a handful of pastries and breads from their little to-go section on the left side of the place. Everything was insanely fresh and I was looking around at everything for at least ten minutes before I decided what I was going to get to take with me. I grabbed some of the floss bread, which was some of the softest and airy bread I have had, and the shredded topping gave it an amazing flavor! I also grabbed a red bean cookie, which was three dollars, and for that price it is a steal! The crunch of the outer shell was amazing and there was a nice amount of red bean filling so every bite I had, had some of the flavorful filling. The texture of the red bean was perfect and I haven't stopped thinking about it since! Prices are very reasonable and the staff is super friendly, quickly packing up the assorted snacks I purchased and giving it to me with a smile. The workers were constantly restocking the bakery section because of how fast everything was being bought, and that shows me they have an amazing following that I am also now a part of. It took me way too long to finally make it here. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with plenty of seating. It was also very clean. I went on a Wednesday night about an hour before closing. We ordered the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, 1908 tofu, and har gow (shrimp dumplings). I also perused their baked goods. Since it was getting close to closing time a lot of the shelves were empty, but they still had plenty of unique sweet and savory baked goods. Everything looked so pretty. Took a visit to Bakery 1908 in Orlando today I have to say I enjoyed it. I did a build my own Bowl with Grill Chasu pork and ramen noodles. Excellent choice. I'm not big on noodles but I enjoyed it very much. Lots of flavor and the Chasu pork was great. The feel of the restaurant was awesome and pleasant. The service was second to none.
