I attended solo but luckily really liked the group I was assigned to. We wanted everyone to work on things they enjoy and allowed everyone to try some parts of the important tasks (making pasta and pastry dough). Your enjoyment might really depend on what your group is like. You can buy wine and beer to drink while you take the class, and those were reasonably priced I thought! $9 for a glass of wine and I think $8 for beer. The class was chaotic since we were making three courses and things needed to be done at different times, but the chaos felt like how it really is in a kitchen making multi course menus, so that didn't bother me! The assistants were great and helped us stay on track and helped if we were struggling with anything. I can't say I learned much from the class (which is why I only gave 4 stars), but I sure had a lot of fun!

He knew I was trying to decide and poured me a sample of his favorite without me even needing to ask, and it was a great call. There's a certain cozy energy in this place with the dim-but-not-dark lighting that makes it a nice place to relax and enjoy some food and drink. I had the prime rib french dip and it was incredibly tender and flavorful. The donuts themselves were very good and definitely lived up to the positive reviews. They were fresh, flavorful, and worth trying if you're in the area. The location, however, made for a very unusual experience. The IDS Center felt almost deserted during our visit, with only a handful of businesses still open. It gave the building an unexpectedly empty atmosphere, which was a bit surprising. We also had a difficult time finding a restroom, and no one we asked seemed to know where one was located. While the setting was a little odd, the quality of the donuts made the stop worthwhile. If you're planning to visit, just be aware that the location itself may be a bit different than you expect.
