I don't usually write reviews, but this hole-in-the-wall, cute-as-a-button cafe was too special not to take the time to praise. My son and I decided to do a sampling of 5 different treats from the flaky croissant, savory tart to the cheesy biscuit. Each delectable! During my recent stay in Wiliamsburg, I walked to Bakeri around the corner from my Airbnb for a quick breakfast. Super cute spot! I got an iced latte, avocado toast, and a boiled egg on the side. The latte was standard good coffee. The avocado toast was lemony and the olive oil/salt seasoning was perfect and not too bland, and the toast bread was really good, except for its crust which was way too hard and I could barely slice it with the knife, I'm taking one star off. read more

The food gods were smiling down on us when a friend in the neighborhood sent us to Bakeri for a little breakfast something something. The space is small but totally charming in an anthropology of bakeries kind of way. It works best if you get your treats to go as seating is limited and the line can get a little long. The staff is amazing. They are quick, helpful, and love to play Robyn songs while they work aka they can do no wrong. I struggled to make a decision because everything looked so amazing. The choices rotate daily but I guarantee you will be able to find something here. The scones, baby croissants, quiches, puffs, and tarts all struck my fancy. I ended up going with a small drip coffee and the quiche of the day which was made of cheeses, spinach, squash, and potatoes. They were extra tasty I must say. Super affordable. This place kind of bummed me out. The coffee was about the size of 3 thimbles put together. The cookies were chocolate chunk, but had raisins so of course my kid refused to eat them. I went here on a Sunday because I was suffering from a hangover and I needed caffeine to start my day. I ordered a large latte and a raspberry crumble. The latte was delicious and the raspberry crumble was very decadent. It definitely made my hangover a lot better! A large variety of baked goods, including but not limited to: lemon squares, rich double chocolate cookies, earl grey cookies, tomato/leek quiche, foccacia.. a random assortment of stuff, really. ALL very tasty. The layout is a little awkward (no one new really knows where the line starts..) and the staff sometimes make you feel a little rushed.. but who cares. Bakeri is cute. Run by a group of ladies in mechanic overalls. The baked goods are all made on premise and you can smell the fresh dough that they roll in front of your eyes. The mini croissants are delicious. They also make sandwiches with their freshly baked bread. Nice little courtyard in the back with small fountain. Almost perfect but they don't serve skim milk and that makes their lattes a little heavy...space is also quite limited, particularly at the front tables where one can barely squeeze by and close to the cashier where a woman with a baby almost ran me over. Simply delightful! This place is a tiny oasis off of the busy Brooklyn streets. You might not get one of the couple seats, but definitely stop by and grab some pastries to go. Aaahhhhh! What a bright and wonderful experience (the complete opposite of my experience at another place down the street). Happy smiles are de rigueur for an early morning spot. We grabbed two coffees and a beautiful strawberry galette and sat in the little garden out back while waiting for two friends. They texted us to inquire about the orange brioche, and the server told us there were only two left and asked if we'd like to put them aside. Now that's service with more than a smile. I came into this coffee shop with the intention pf getting a coffee and a pastry and sit outside with my service dog. As soon as I came in someone said dogs weren't allowed. When I told her my dog was service she asked for the credential (which is considered discrimination) but I showed the credential anyways. After that her manager started asking what kind of service. I specified therapeutic/emmotional support. She said that tecnically that's not allowed. Not sure where she got that from, I've travelled 10 hour flights several times with him on my lap but I'm not allowed 5 min in a coffee shop, thought that was extremely snobby. Had been wanting to try this spot for awhile and finally did one of these nice spring weekends we have been having. Got lucky and sat right on the street basking in the sunshine. My friends and I shared some really good and creative pastries (tortilla, pistaccio cookie) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a cute and cozy spot, just off the beaten path. I felt kind of like we stumbled upon a tiny hole in the wall, but the crowd was evidence that everyone in the know certainly knows about this place. There are a few tiny tables, a communal table, and cute benches set up under the awning outside (enclosed for the winter). The service was efficient and friendly, and I loved that all the staff wore cute scarves around their heads (all different patterns). They took their time to listen to our order to make sure it was correct (e.g., room for milk?) even though there was a line. We had excellent coffee and cappuccino and a DELICIOUS white chocolate/cranberry cookie, sprinkled with sea salt - fresh from the oven. The sea salt was genius - such a great idea. They had several other baked goods that included unexpected touches (e.g., chocolate hazelnut cookie with rosemary). I would love to come back to try the small Lavender shortbread cookie for just $1. There were several other small treats for $1-2 as well. Sandwich choices sounded pretty good too. There's no internet here, which is a plus for me personally because I never get anything done with it around. Bakeri makes a great little coffice and it doesn't hurt that they serve their lattes in large, beautiful BOWLS. They make some fantastic pastries here. My friend and I shared the Apple Walnut pound cake, which was much denser than a traditional pound cake but one of the most delicious cakes I have had lately, a lavender shortbread cookie, and a chocolate chip hazelnut cookie with rosemary salt. I love different ingredients in baked goods which is why I fell in love with the shortbread and the cookie. The rosemary on the cookie went well with the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the lavender flavor in the shortbread was subtle enough to not overpower the delicate texture and flavor of that type of cookie. read more

I love their pastries but the attitude of the staff pisses me off. Some of them are nice and friendly, but most of the time I go there I'm faced with someone who's going through PMS. Still that was fine with me until today. Loved this place! Spent four nights in Williamsburg and stumbled upon this place one morning. Needless to say, we returned every day/morning. Cool spot, friendly staff and delicious baking, baguettes, coffee, etc. Somehow scored a small table a couple mornings out front in the sun but there's a small seating area inside as well as a cool seating area outside, out back. Love Bakeri. I've been here twice and have been happy each time. I've only tried their baked goods, iced coffee, and iced tea. The lavender mint iced tea is kick ass here. I tried the salt chocolate rosemary cookie (which is gooey and a steal for under $3) I like that this place is just no frills and all about the baked goods. Honestly it's a little shabby inside but you feel like your in someone's house and it adds to the shabby chic cozy ambiance. They also have a kick-ass (yes I've used that adj twice) back yard outdoor sitting area. Very relaxing and cute. And if you order to stay they bring your goods to where you are sitting and give you a glass bottle of water. It's very nice. I've also tried the chocolate roll which was dense, chewy, and perfect. I want to go back and try some of their non baked goods. I like how all the people that work there wear jumpsuits and bandanas. It's schticky but not annoyingly so. I'll def be back here. read more

This place is just perfect. From the baked goods to the decor to the staff, everything is like a dream. They seem to always use great and surprising flavor combinations with their pastries and cookies. The breads are always solid. The constants are the brioches, lemon bars, and those earl grey cookies. I would recommend all of these and the others that I haven't tried because I know they would be good, too! I have also tried the Fjord loaf. The loaf of bread cost $7 and was just the best. I made sandwiches with the bread for a couple of days, and it didn't go stale quickly. The back garden is such a gem. Be sure to coo at the black kitty that lives in the garden! read more

A small charming place, designed as an old county style with a chic hint. The options of treats are incredible. Savory and sweet. The service is very kind. There is a small garden in the back and also some chairs in the front. I had a mix of three, an apple cider flower, peach scone and an orange brioche, and an americano of course. The apple cider was ok. No my cup of tea. The scone was really good. It had crumble on the top , so it kinda felt like a scone combined with a tart, it was a yummy. The orange brioche was so good ! It's basically a regular, very well done, brioche and inside you meet here and there a caramelized Orange. I bet the my face when taking the first bite from the Orange was priceless. Always popular. I come in weekend mornings for some treats and coffee. Unusual experience- ordered two mini chocolate croissants and when I walked outside and picked one out of the bag I noticed that they were 2 plain croissants. I went back inside, told the guy behind the counter, and he took the two plain croissants back, put them back in the display and gave me my two chocolate croissants. Since I live down the street from this place it's been hard to not attempt to try every single item they have. Bakeri is a small but wonderful spot for a variety of sweet and savory baked goods that are fresh, high quality and ingredients wise seem "healthier" than most bakeries. I have had a couple not so great experiences (burnt muffin, rude attitude from staff) but for the most part this place continues to impress. I think if you can it's best to go during the first half of the day, the later it gets the more stuff they sell out of. Also if you want to eat in, I'd recommend it being you and one other person, it's a small area and the few tables they have are for two people only. read more
