Delicious little treats
Vanessa G.

My goodness, these little cupcakes were a dream! One of my husband's dealerships sent us a box all the way sunny So Cal. We were so impressed by these cupcakes! So much flavor packed into a bite size. My personal faves were the sugar cookie and the mint flavors. I even shared some with extended family on Christmas day and everyone loved them. I think everyone needs to try these once in their lifetime.

Okay here I am, brought in by Tik Tok en route from NJ to NYC. We made a little side trip to get these cupcakes before getting into city bc who knows what parking is like. This location is in the mall. I got the The Oh My Gluten-Free Cupcakes pack of 25 and paid a whopping 44 which is 1.75 per cupcake for something the size of a quarter haha. My husband and I were both a little shook when she said 44, but when in Rome! Cup cakes were tasty, but not amazing. Really liked the red velvet and cinnamon ones. Definitely would not buy again, but fun to get once.

I love Baked by Melissa. This location in Garden State Plaza has been around for quite a while. Whenever I am at the mall I always make sure to stop by for these delicious mini cupcakes. They can be a bit pricey but they are so cute and super easy to eat. They are the perfect bite size and the delicately decorated.

I have to say I am not cupcake person. But these mini cupcakes are amazing. Like pringles cant have just one. The variety of flavors is huge so there is something for everyone.

These cupcakes are definitely very cute and tasty but you're really just paying a premium for the hype more so than anything else (and such is the world we live in). Maybe it's just me but I feel like they've gotten even smaller over the years. They used at least be shaped like normal cupcakes but now they're basically flat pieces of dough, almost like a small, dough-y cookie. Whether or not it's worth it is up to you to decide but I see nothing wrong with stopping by here once in a while to grab a few while you're at the mall. They have a variety of different flavors, my favorites have always been the PB&J and Cookie Dough ones. You can probably eat a half dozen of them (if not more) and it would equal one regular sized cupcake (calories-wise).

My 12 pack. Looks good.

Super yummy and sweet! The perfect little bites. The salted caramel macaroons and PB n J cupcakes were my favorite! I could eat a dozen PB n J in a matter of seconds. Really cool concept, tons of kids hanging out begging parents to buy them. They are pretty small and the price is a little high at $1/piece (that's part of surviving as a small business though, so I get it); but they are extremely delicious. Light, airy, and packed with flavor. Stop by, grab a few, they're good and you deserve it!

Terrible customer service. No one answered my calls or emails, and I still don't know what happened with my order. Very disappointed!

Ordered online. Sent to a friend. Way over priced for what you get. Product was fair. Just not worth the money.

This is probably the worst cupcakes i ever tasted. They were not moist, but tasted so gross. I ate two, and threw out the rest.

The bakery was clean and well organized offering not only the cakes but candles, cards, cake toppers and such. The lady working there was also welcoming and courteous. She had a nice way of marketing the bakery. The Bundt cakes were fresh and moist. The cream cheese frosting was the standard for all cakes. Whatever flavor the cake part was, the frosting remained the same. I don't remember if the chocolate had a chocolate cream cheese frosting? My honest opinion of the overall quality: like a gourmet version of boxed cake mix. It was okay, for $6 each it didn't break the bank but I was underwhelmed. I was so excited that I had the chance to finally try it. I think there are local bakeries around that can offer better homemade cakes.

They also have a chocolate shop next door. When I walked inside of the bakery, I felt transported to a pastry shop in France. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was super busy. Service was quick and efficient. I ordered a latte and a scone. The scone was very delicious and fresh. My boyfriend ordered a frozen hot chocolate and a chocolate éclair. I tried a bit of the éclair and we both agreed that it was the star of the show. I normally am not a big éclair person but this one was so chocolatey and rich. It was filled with this creamy, fresh chocolate filling. I strongly dislike the store bought cream filling that they are usually piped with. We sat at one of the little tables on the sidewalk outside since the weather was nice. I will be back if I am in the area and in the mood for a sweet treat!

We snagged one as people were getting up. I got a napoleon and another dessert that was chocolate mouse with Carmel and a biscuit cookie on the bottom. It was soo good. But worth it once in a while. And they have a bathroom in the back!

We didn't try the cupcakes, so cannot speak to them. One issue with the cakes, however, that doesn't let this rise beyond four stars is that they make the cakes in their Nanuet location, and then freeze them. You actually cannot order a fresh cake, which is odd. Upon calling in an order, they start to thaw out the cake. They recommend keeping it thawed for two hours, at least before serving.

However, this happened over a decade ago and unfortunately, from my first impression of this place, there is seriously some need for marketing and a change tailored to incentivizing a newer generation of people to discovering this place. I was dissatisfied with the lack of desire to accept any of the coupons or online promotions offered by sites such as groupon and restaurant.com... The owner claimed that she had not been involved with the marketing departments from these sites, however, that is the only reason I discovered this place in the first place, and she refused to honor the coupons that we had purchased with our own money through the site. I wound up purchasing one of her famous apple cakes, which, in my opinion was extremely overpriced for the size, but I was sympathetic to her story and the hard work that went behind the business enough to purchase it. The cake was delicious, but not something groundbreaking. I know this is a brutal review, but I think it's important that the business makes some attempt going forward to clarify marketing directives and try to appeal to a newer audience instead of living within the same time period and not changing with the times. The owner is living over and over again what happened over 10 years ago and I'm looking for more creativity and expansion and collaboration from third party affiliates otherwise I see the business struggling due to lack of outside promotion and internal customer satisfaction initiatives.

The lady who assisted me was so sweet, so friendly and it was nice to come all the way from the city and be greeted with such lovely hospitality. She was working by herself and she had a couple of other customers waiting, but made everyone feel like a priority. She was a natural professional lol. The prices were quite pricey, which each donut flavor having its own price, my box of minis with tax and tip were about 40 bucks! Although I can't complain because I got a box free. I also can tell my donuts were freshly made with quality ingredients and the flavors are true to its donuts name. Although my visit was really for the banana foster, my favorite turned out to be the cannoli. They nailed that donut true to its original interpretation of what a cannoli is but made into a donut. My daughters loved the flavors of their selections although the strawberry cheesecake was a bit sweeter than she expected and liked. A bit overwhelming is how she put it. She would have been satisfied with just the mini size. Overall I think the next time I'm in town I may stop by for a half of dozen of minis because of the prices and because some flavors were better than others. I also wouldn't mind trying some of the signature donuts. So yes make a visit because it worth one. Two thumbs up and a Happy Yelping!
