I wanted to get my clients something sweet so went to Mr. Cupcakes. When I arrived I parked in the mall parking lot. I walked in and didn't know where the bakery was. I called and the nice lady directed me. I found it upstairs by the food court. I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes and the cookie jar cupcake for me. I paid and left. When I ate my cupcake, it was good. I enjoyed the icing and the moistness of the cupcake. My clients were very happy as well. All in all I had a good experience. read more

Like it's name, this place is all about cupcakes, it's a cupcake heaven. They have 40 different creative cupcake flavors, in three different sizes, including gluten free ones. An excellent item to have at kids birthday party. It is a good location to just walk in, and get bunch of cupcakes for a party. I bought 50 of their cupcakes for $140, each costing less than $3, very reasonable price. Aside from cupcakes, they also make birthday cakes, and sell birthday party accessories. The only thing bothered me, they don't have any sort of bags at the store. So, when I had to walk out with 4 boxes of cupcakes, I had bring in my own large bags. My wife and I came here recently om our trip to Paramus Park Mall. We had eaten dinner and wanted some dessert so we tried this place. We have seen it in many of our prior trips, but this time we both wanted dessert. Avoid, that's pretty much all that I can say. You can make it look cute from the outside, but as the saying goes, you can polish a turd... It was very clean inside, I will give that to them. That is pretty much where everything stops. The lady behind the counter was rude and snarky, but not enough for us to turn around. My wife asked about prices and she responded with in a huffy voice, it's on the wall! After my wife ordered hers she said ok that'll be 9.99 or whatever without asking if we wanted anything else. We seemed to piss her off when we asked for more items. We each got 3 cupcakes as well as some cake pops. The cake pops were horrible. Just horrible. They were greasy, grainy, and un edible. Too bad we bought 6 because they were 1.25 each! We thought we had a great deal! I got chocolate red velvet cupcakes. They were actually ok. Same with the carrot cake. It was ok. Much better than the cake pops. We threw those away at home.... my wife didn't like any of the cupcakes she bought. Oreo, canoli and peanut butter we all terrible. All in all, avoid this place! If you want to come here, don't, not for any reason. From the horrible service to the even worse food. Your hard earned money is better spent elsewhere... read more

I have to remember never to order cupcakes from this chain again. The Strawberries and Cream cupcake tasted like artificial chemicals. The Big Papa with crumb topping was hard like a crunchy cookie. Either overbaked or stale or both. There are better cupcake stores in the area. Fantastic new location for the franchise with a larger selection than their Hackensack location. They have mini, regular, and jumbo sizes flavors I haven't seen before. I was greeted almost immediately by the single worker. And though there was a short line, it still went by smoothly and the service was clean & quick. This location also offers drinks, balloons, and Dippin' Dots, if the occasion arises! Had the Chocolate Chip Smoothie cupcake and it was delicious. I love that there's a variety at all Mr. Cupcakes that can satisfy any of your cupcake cravings. Conveniently located in the Food Court upstairs, as soon as you step off the escalator. So be sure to scope the place out for potential desserts beforehand so you know what to order once you've eaten! read more

I visited paramus park mall for the first time this past week. All I needed to do was make a quick return....until I saw Mr. Cupcakes. I had visited the store in Clifton many times over the years, but had no clue they had a store front in Paramus. I obviously veered from the plan and stopped in to get a carrot cake cupcake and a mini red velvet. Both met my expectations as they were moist, flavorful and made just like the cupcakes at the Clifton location. I've been going to the Clifton (flagship) location pretty much since it opened. I love how much success they have had and how they support the community. The Paramus Park mall food court is not what you'd call "state of the art" with it's 1990s like feel, but Mr. Cupcakes lightens up the vibe. It's pretty rare that I walk past without buying at least one cupcake to bring home. The cupcakes are just right - not overly moist with the right amount of icing. The flavor is on point. One of my favorites is the french toast cupcake, which shockingly tastes just like maple french toast. I've never had a cupcake from Mr. Cupcakes that I didn't like. I highly recommend it! read more

I have been going to Mr. Cupcakes since when they first opened at the Riverside Square mall. I realized not long ago they had closed down due to the mall's renovation. I also have been to their Oradell location as well. I believe Oradell location cupcakes are even cheaper compared to the ones at the mall. Not that mall location ones are expensive compared to those NYC overpriced cupcakes. Yes, I am a long time fan here. I sometimes pick up a dozen when going over birthday parties or other celebrations. This paramus mall location store is much bigger and cleaner and easy to locate right by the escalator. The taste has always been the same. Never changes. Their cupcakes are super moist. And the cream cheese frosting is more waterly than other places. Love their red velvet, southern red velvet, cookie jar, birthday cake and fruity pebbles. I mean everything is really good and much bigger than nyc cupcakes. I personally think Mr. Cupcakes is the best. If you haven't tried theirs yet, you are missing out. read more

Just to be clear, this review is ONLY for the Paramus Park location and is not a reflection on the cupcakes. The cupcakes are delicious! The prices ($2.25 for regular cupcakes) is completely reasonable. However, the service (or lack thereof) is abysmal. I ran over to the mall on my lunch break to get cupcakes for my colleagues for teacher appreciation week. When I got to the store front, it appeared open. Lights on. Cupcakes in the case. The door... was locked. No sign saying closed. No "back in five minutes." I knocked several times. Checked Google and the website, both of which said it should be open. I called the number for the store. Rang and rang. No answer. I waited some more. Knocked some more. I called the other location to ask if THIS location is open. I was told it should be open and that they were "sending someone over." By that point, my lunch time was running out and I couldn't wait for whoever they were sending. My advice is call ahead and make sure the store is actually staffed so you don't waste a bunch of time. read more

If I hadn't hated my cookie dough cupcake I probably would've given them 4 stars but it was a major disappointment when I bit into it and the icing was whipped cream, or at least the same consistency as whipped cream.
