I ended up choosing a Flodeboller which is a coffee chocolate cream puff and cafe latte. They call it a cream puff but it was more like a mousse as it was only cream. It was shaped like the poop emoji and had gold flakes on it. It was good but I was expecting a cake-like inside but it was just light coffee flavored cream. My latte was very good and warmed my body as it was starting to get on the cool side as the temperature was falling. I wanted to try a couple other items but decided to explore the park more.

I loved the cinnamon swirl/cannebulla/(difficult Danish name). I've had a bunch of disappointing versions in both Sweden and the USA. This one was wonderful. The filled pastries were off scale awesome. They were like the fillings had fillings. All ingredients were super fresh and refined. At the same time, they were not over delicate like some supposedly "sophisticated continental" pastries can be. No pretentious stuff here. Solid goodness! A note: I'd been pickpocketed at the airport an hour earlier when we arrived. This place helped raise my mood back up enough that I no longer wanted to just leave and go back home!

It was here I had my first tebirkes, romkugler, strawberry tart, rugbrød, and more. Kristens is one of the first stops we make while visiting family. We'll buy a big bag of our favorites, and then eat half on the way home. Everything is just perfectly made. It was a natural choice, then, for our wedding cake. I'm not much of a cake fan, but I *am* a funfetti fan. However, my non-traditional quest for a plain vanilla cake with sprinkles was met with significant resistance from the fancy bakeries in town (who wanted to shove it full of jams and creams). Eventually, we were drawn back to Kirstens. The team kindly listened to our request, and worked with us to make the most beautiful and enjoyed funfetti wedding cake there ever was. Everyone loved it!
