AND(ersen) this place was a slam dunk! Found this place from Instagram (always skeptical of hyped places but this one lived up to it). On the weekend there was a bit of a line but it moved quickly. There was a ton of seating but it was tricky to get seats and people were posted up to work (they have wifi)! In terms of food they have a great selection of pastries, sandwiches and desserts. We tried the croissant (really good), cardamom bun (underbaked, not my fav), and the Christmas bun (interesting flavors a little too sweet for me). The coffee was also really good and I got a cappuccino. Overall, definitely recommend checking this place out! Go during the week for shorter lines and if you want to sit!

A friend recommended I go to Andersen, and it didn't disappoint. There is great seating and the like moves quite quickly. My favorite part was embracing the unique flavor combinations and done well. There were a couple misses but that sesame cookie lives in my mind. Definitely worth experiencing those flavors for yourself

super yummy looking desserts. strawberry tart did not disappoint. peach juice was too sweet but nothing a little water couldn't fix

Very tasty cardamom pastry, fast easy service. The cappuccino was very good too. Sadly they were sold out of the fastelavnsboller but I'll be back tomorrow to grab a few~

The pastries from here live rent free in my head. I went here two years ago and this was one of the best bites from my Scandinavian trip. Bomb. Com

Beautiful bakery with beautiful pastries. I ordered a cardamom bun. I liked how it was slightly crispy on top and soft on the inside. My friends enjoyed their croissant and rhubarb pastry. Services were extremely friendly. Indoor and outdoor tables available.

An adorable cafe with great pastries! I got the rhubarb pastry, and it was absolutely delicious! I can see how it could be too sweet for some, but it was so nice and flakey.

Super popular bakery, but worth the hype. I visited several local bakeries during a week in Copenhagen, and this spot remained at the top.

One of the better bakeries in Copenhagen, this place seems to have an international following. That said, pastries are excellently prepared and if substantive size.

Inspired by Japanese Baker Shunsuke Takaki's 1959 trip to Copenhagen Andersen Bakery is an offshoot of Hiroshima's Takaki Bakery Co, its name a tribute to Denmark's famous author of literary fairy tales and the location in Islands Brygge considered to be one of Copenhagen's first modern Artisan Bakeries. Embracing a philosophy to "live healthy," many of Chef Nichlas Jaime Frese's creations focused on Whole Grains without added Sugar, work begins well-before 06h30 opening as a team in the open kitchen mixes, folds, kneads and stretches a variety of Pastries and Breads. Rooted in tradition, Viennoiseries like Tebirkes and Spandauer executed with Japanese exactitude, those seeking savories will find a smattering of Salads and Sandwiches alongside Cakes, Cookies and pulled-to-order Espresso. An award winner ever since Frese joined the team in 2009, though Andersen Bakery's Cardamom Roll fails to match the version at Juno, filled-Croissants come double-baked with a good shatter whether filled with Almond Cream or Custard surrounded by assertive Rhubarb.

Mini spandauer (top left), cheesecake (top right), kanelsnegl (bottom left), and tripple chocolate (bottom right).

A (literal) corner bakery near a few other restaurants, it was cute and busy with orders to go. Opt for the minis to share. Hands down the best pastry was the Spandauer with Hjemmekogt creme.

Delicious pastries and coffee with friendly service. No complaints! Within 15 min walk of Marriott. Opens at 6:30 AM.

I stood there for a few minutes and didn't understand why several others who came after me got served first. This is a Copenhagen bakery chain, but I like this location because it has a beautiful view of the canal-lined houses of Christianshavn. I didn't find too many desserts here, but got a ham and cheese sandwich. It was simple, but very good. The ham and cheese were flavorful together, and the creamy Dijon mustard was especially delicious. I do wish there is an option to toast the sandwich, but it was pretty good cold too.

She made an alternate suggestion, nuts and vanilla cream Danish. I also wanted the Xmas tree marshmallow treat again. She placed it in a small box as to not have it crushed. Wow! A small kind way of packing it as opposed to how København H( Central Station) placed it in a paper bag. The store is bigger than other locations. It was busy however the staff did a great job in staying sweet, calm and line was organized beautifully. Thank you! Great experience and delicious treat!

Plus -- beautiful views of the water! Of the pastries I've tried, I liked the cinnamon roll and a vanilla custard danish (I'll include a picture) the best. The cardamom roll is good, but not my favorite we've had. It tasted like it had a bit of orange in it, which was fun, but it was a little softer than I personally prefer. All in all, if I'm ever back in Copenhagen I'll definitely stop at Hart Bageri. Pro Tip: Don't forget to ask for you matcha sweetened if that's how you like it!

He said that Hart is a popular place to go and tho there were a lot of people there, I was very disappointed. I'm a chocolate person and the only chocolate option I saw was this chocolate bun which, if you read the description, says it has 3 different kinds of chocolate. Now, I was thinking that maybe it had swirls of chocolate to maybe some kind of cream.....no. This is literally bread with chocolate chips. And it does NOT have 3 kinds of chocolate. And it barely even has any chocolate. It's called a CHOCOLATE BUN so where's the chocolate????? Extremely disappointed especially cause I spent $4.52 USD on this trash. If you're gonna make a CHOCOLATE bun, make sure it actually has chocolate in it! Not going back to this place. No thanks!

I originally went for the frøsnapper, a danish poppy seed pastry, but every time I went they were out, so I finally opted for a cinnamon roll. The vegan foods in Hawaii are nothing special, so I was a little hesitant on buying something vegan, but at 15kr a piece, I figured why not. I am so glad I got it, because it's the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. The pastry was very chewy but flaky on the outside, and there was just the right amount of cinnamon. It was also very buttery (but of course it wasn't actual butter). The prices are much cheaper than the other bakeries that I went to, and I like these cinnamon rolls a lot more than the overly hyped Sankt Peders Bageri ones.
