    Classic croissant

Best croissants I've ever had. No notes. Friends ordered the chocolate croissant and espresso croissant - not pictured but equally as delicious and decadent!

Cardamom bun hit the spot! It was giving airy, aromatic, floral, and light with each bite. Paired with a hot latte, I couldn't have asked for a better treat to have a slow morning and watch the Danes and tourists whiz on by. When I'm not on vacation mode, I'm always go go go but if I had access to beautifully crafted pastries made with love and care, I'd have more slow mornings. Copenhagen, you sure make delightful pastries for your locals and visitors!

One of the many wonderful coffee shops from our trip to Copenhagen. The almond croissant looked divine, but we were too full from breakfast. Bookmark to stop by for a coffee or a snack!

Yup this place is it! The espresso croissant was so light and flaky it was literally melting in my mouth. Not to mention it was not overly sweet and dipped in the cappuccino was the perfect balance. It also was not filled which worked really well. The service was prompt the croissant was given instantly and the coffee I only had to wait maybe three to five min. The place inside is small but they have a seating area near by that is open till 11am.

According to staff, they are famous for their pistachio croissants cube, spandauer and cardamom bun. At this visit i got the cardamon bun and iced latte, also bought their tote bag. It was too cute to resist. I'd come back to try the "espresso croissant" which I didn't see it at other bakeries that I've been to in CPH. Friendly service. Good coffee and pasty!

Inside the pistachio Square. This is a must.

This place is a must. Everything we had was delicious from the cardamom bun to the pistachio square to the croissant to these little delicious cookies, you can't go wrong. But seriously if you don't try the pistachio square you're definitely missing out. The coffee was delicious too with lots of different options. The line can get along, but the service is fast and the people are friendly. And the inside is very charming with seating outside and inside.

You have to check out this bakery! Definitely try a cube croissant, I personally really like the pistachio ones. I had a friend visiting Copenhegan this last term, and this was one of the first places I recommended to them. The pastries are so flaky and buttery, absolutely delicious.

Had to check out this new bakery.. well new since the last time I was here! There's usually a line out the door in the morning but we happened to arrive just after the early morning work rush. The dining room and outside tables were still full but there was only a few people ahead of us in line and we were able to find a table. We ordered their more popular pastries, the braided chocolate croissant (filled with chocolate ganache) and the cube pistachio croissant (filled with pistachio cream), and two filter coffees. The coffee was great (they roast their beans in house) and the pastries were just as good as they look! Flaky buttery croissant dough with rich luscious filling.

NOTE: Review is for their other location, not Nørrebrogade Our family went for a traditional European breakfast: coffee and pastries. There was a small line when we arrived, but it moved quickly. We ordered a ton of items but the staff person was super patient and didn't get anything wrong (nothing missing or added). I got the flat white, which was great. We split the cubed croissants. I also tried the custard pastry. All were 10/10. There is not a lot of seating in the store, only a makeshift bench for 1 or 2 people (or no people and your full order). You are not allowed to sit at the tables of the neighboring store, as another patron mistakenly led us to believe.

Wanted to try this bakery while in Copenhagen and ended up coming here twice. First time they were sold out of the cube croissants (around 3pm) but second time I went right when they opened and got to try it! The first time I went I got an espresso croissant and a regular coffee with oat milk. The croissant was giant but not as flaky as I would've liked. Still good though! It was so busy we had to share a table with others so we didn't stay too long. But the vibe was nice - good music, lovely, and lots of people meeting up here or working on their laptops. Also a beautiful modern cafe. Staff were friendly and helpful when trying to decide what to get. The second time we dropped by just to get the cube croissant before our flight but all the fresh pastries looked so good so we got a vanilla danish to try also. Both were good and the cube did not disappoint! It was 10/10 - fun to pull apart, crispy and flaky, and filled with delicious pistachio cream. Great place to try and highly recommend the famous cube croissant!

The best bolle med smør og ost (bread with butter and cheese) in Copenhagen, imo, and I tried a lot! Next time I'll return for some of the pastries.

The pastries here were excellent! The cappuccino was nice as well. Service was quick. The shop is small but they have an outdoor patio across the street to sit and eat.

My third bakery visit in Copenhagen (can you tell I'm very efficient when it comes to chomping pastry yet?) with other exchange friends. So far, this seems to be a favourite, with something for everybody's taste. I personally tried their almond croissant (44DKK) and while it's not as buttery as I would like it to be, it was flaky enough with generous almond filling that's not too sweet. People also seemed to like their BMO (bread with cheese and butter) and cinnamon roll. Curious to try their famed cube croissant (it was sold out when we were there) but so far so good.

Once we got our food, we understood why so many people come. This was without a doubt the best meal we had in Copenhagen. All the dishes were simple, elegant, and focused on the wholesome ingredients. The eggs. THE EGGS! Never would I have thought that scrambled eggs with ketchup would blow my mind like this did. Other big stand-outs were the avocado, asparagus, and homemade bread. My spouse had the chicken nuggets and lost his shit. Would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone who finds themselves in Copenhagen. There were 3 of us and they brought over 3 cutlery sets and 2 napkins. Naturally, I asked for one more napkin and the response was "I'll give you 3 plates to share, do you still need a napkin?" I was dumbfounded that it was that difficult to get one napkin. The food- everything was so incredibly salty (except for the waffle) The burrata was probably the saltiest- the greens were unnecessarily salted as well. The servers never checked on us so we were never able to tell them how we felt about the food. At the very least, the food tasted fresh. I was also disappointed that the waffle seemed to have been sitting a while before they brought it to us- it started getting soggy and the cream on top melted, while the table beside us had their cream on their waffle still intact. I'm sure there are a lot better choices in Copenhagen for the price you pay for this place!

My…read morefriend is vegan and I am always excited to try vegan restaurants, plus she had this cafe bookmarked for a while. The layout of the cafe is very cozy and dimly lit, a perfect place for vegans to socialize over lattes and food. We decided on their brunch platter and croissant sandwich, so we could share everything. I got a matcha latte and she got a regular one. The cashier was very kind, and she gave us her recommendations on what to try. She even spoke to me in English (although she didn't have to!). I also decided on trying out a pain au chocolat. Wow, just simply wow. Their pastries are still buttery and fluffy while remaining amazingly vegan, and their ingredients are high quality. The "cheeses" did not taste like plastic, no, but tasted similar to authentic cheese. The croissant sandwich was full of flavors and everything on the brunch platter was delicious. I especially loved how they decorated and seasoned the avocado (and it was ripe!) The matcha latte was a lovely wake up, especially after I had a horrible matcha latte the day prior. After about an hour or so, we were both eyeing their options of "cheesecakes" and decided on sharing a slice of their pecan option. After we took our first bite, my friend and I just looked at each other. The pecans and sauce complimented each other so well, and the vegan consistency wasn't too mushy! The breading was not too crumbly and each bite was Heaven. All in all, I am SO EXCITED to come back to this delicious cafe, as it was my favorite restaurant we tried during our stay in Copenhagen.

Thankfully, Kaf is in the same neighborhood. It is a vegan bakery! There are a few gluten-free pastries, namely the cakes. The place was small inside and it was packed. Dog friendly . . . Five stars for that! There is an outside seating area as well. We ordered some items and all were so amazing! On their Instagram page they are always posting about their vegan fastelvnsbolle and so we got some. It is basically a cream puff the size of a child's fist. Oh my, one of my faves from Denmark. The vanilla whipped cream inside was so light and not to sweet. The dough did not get soggy. On the contrary, the bottom of the pastry was crunchy and sweet. Almost like the bottom of an almond croissant. I also recommend their vegan, raw cakes. Deep rich chocolate is involved, yay!
