Al Pastor Tacos (3), Pacifico Tall Boy, and free side of chips...
    Taran T.

Great new restaurant, the staff is friendly and the food is awesome. I got the Al Paster Street Tacos 3 for $7.99 "Taco Tuesday Special"; with a 24oz Pacifico for $7.95. Came out to $17.34 and it was worth every penny of it to me at least. I highly recommend this place for Terrific Taco Tuesday if you're in Riverside, Ca off of Van Buren Blvd and Dauchy Ave. Take care and YAH Bless

So damn good!! I love ceviche and baja tacos, and having this place close to home is going to make it an easy regular place to stop by. It's a casual sit down/take out spot and was bright and clean when we walked in. We were quickly greeted by friendly staff as we browsed their menu and she told us about some of their items. Everything was so good! Loved our order of baja fish tacos (great flavors throughout each element, great texture on the fish, not mushy at all), taquitos (crunchy, with good flavor, you can tell they're made fresh), ceviche (so damn good and spicy too!) and a potato taco (actually had too much potato in it for me personally, but it was still delicious). They also had some really good agua frescas, a bar to the side which looked to serve beers and maybe margaritas, a self serve salsa bar, and a refrigerator section with more drinks and desserts. Can't wait to go back and try out more of their menu - looking forward to trying the surf and turf tacos/burritos next time!

Mixto Ceviche (octopus and shrimp) with special tostada

This is the third Mexican restaurant in this location and I think we have a winner (actually, I was a fan of Mr Taco for years). The menu is pretty straightforward Baja Mexican tacos and burritos, as well as ceviche. The ceviche is what I come for and I think it's pretty darn good. Really fresh and tasty, spicy and tangy with a nice mix of seafood, onions, and avocado. Normally comes with a four pack of tostadas but this time the owner hooked us up with some green nopales tostadas and introduced us to eating it with a dab of mayonnaise between the tostada and ceviche. I'm already a ceviche fan but this really elevated it. Fish burrito is also yummy and well priced at $8 for a fairly large burrito. The beans are more flavorful than standard refried beans. Goes great with the four different salsas. Service has always been incredible for a fast casual restaurant. The staff always makes you feel welcome and cared for. I hope they can make the location work for them for a long time!

The drive thru alone gives this place some points! The lady at the front was very kind. Our food came out quick and fresh. I had the fish taco plate and we tried the nachos. The nachos were okay. There were no cheese or meat under the pile of chips. So we basically had plain tortilla chips. Although the asada meat we had on top was really good though! The fish tacos were 10/10!! Loved it!

Updating my review. And I can honestly say they stepped it up after my last review. I can actually say this is a pretty damn good fish taco. It's not the best fish taco I've had, but it's the best in this neighborhood. This time around I can finally taste the fish, which was really good, wish I had a little more sauce but next time I'll ask for more. I'll be back to try the other food. But this place deserves the high ratings.

We've had an excellent experience everytime we have eaten Baja Shack! So happy it is in town, great fish tacos/fish taco bowl. The birria burrito is really good and we've tried both of the shrimp ceviches and neither of those disappointed ! Our kids love it also! Really quick service, take out and dine in have both gone smooth, salsa bar was a plus!

Having just gotten back from Baja Mexico (Bahía Concepción-Puerto Penasco) I was skeptical that Riverside would have good authentic Baja "shack" food. Let me just say it was fantastic, the fish and tacos were made with such fresh and amazing ingredients and the aqua Fresca was better than the ones I had in Mexico. We will be back soon!

Vibe is rad family owned and the food is killer! They absolutely make you feel like you're their long lost cousins from the good side of the family. Be back soon. Had the Birria quesadilla and the surf and turf taco. Absolute fire! Sealed the deal with a Modelo.

I LOVE Robert's Del Taco up the street for FRESH and Value. However i will drive miles for good Ceviche. So I will try theirs tonight!

EXCELLENT! Went back for the Baja ceviche. It was the best! A must try. Packed full of shrimp and flavor

Order a battered fish and shrimp tacos. The breading was bland. The fish and shrimp tasted stale and the tortillas were cold.

First things first, the restaurant location and the inside is nothing to write home about. There are ample tables there. The restroom works, but is nothing remotely close to fancy. Alot of the times, the older male cooks and the young cashier women have really really bad attitude. I'm talking straight, annoyed faces like we are bothering them by even just being there. I've only had one older lady greet us nicely with a smile & nice words whereas in my job, you treat every single customer that walks thru the door - with a smile and a welcome... it's truly not that hard ! One time I actually had to tell one of the young ladies how rude she was being by being right by my face, as I'm trying to get onion/ cilantro - she's behind me closing the blinds - I wouldn't mind but she never said excuse me, and was literally her mouth to my ear. She apologized after I told her how rude she was being. Today, we had a new gentlemen take our order which is fine. The problem began when I had to repeat the order about 5 times, whilst he's looking at me like I'm speaking a different language when we both speak Spanish. He eventually got it & wrote it down, I saw him write it correctly but then proceeded to give us the order completely wrong - from wrong meats, to wrong tortilla choice and at this point - we had been standing there for about over 10 minutes, the amount of people who passed by us because they received their food correctly and were able to pay right away was honestly upsetting. I wouldn't mind, but I genuinely believe these cooks are most likely drinking in the back. It explains why they have terrible attitudes all the time, and now they can't even get orders right when speaking the same language as them - can only imagine the mistakes that may happen with people who cannot speak Spanish ! I explained all of this to the cashier, I work in a kitchen as well & provide the best service, every single day. This place was doing alright just a few weeks back, then we realized it's because they had their higher up's showing up to the location ( we were there when they arrived ) they even brought a " star " cashier that doesn't even work at that location , they probably know the ones they have on the daily - don't cut it ! I'm genuinely wanting to contact higher up's showing because this place is becoming a joke. The food is good, the service is very very unsettling. We were lucky enough that the young lady in the front was actually concerned about our complaints. I'm not one to ever complain, but seriously they need to keep an eye on this location.
