I decided to order a side of guacamole with my Tostada and honestly the guacamole portion is laughable not worth the money. Not sure why they give so many chips along side such little guacamole. My tostada salad is very delicious, at first the lettuce on top was too plan but when I added the picodegallo and mango salsa it made everything come together. A truly terrible experience. On December 22nd, I confirmed via web and phone that the Baja Fresh located in Granada Hills, CA would be open for delivery on December 25th. Only after doing my due diligence, I placed a delivery order via the Baja Fresh website for December 25th. In accordance, I was charged $62.80 and received confirmation of the order and delivery details (Dec 25th at 11AM). On December 25th, I received a delivery cancellation email at 11:33am - 33m after the promised delivery. The notice offered no explanation. I drove to the restaurant to find it closed - understandable given the holiday, but there was no prior notice given and all websites and phone calls made confirmed the restaurant would be open and operating. In a total bind, I was forced to find another meal to accommodate my guests when the meal was promised by 11AM. It caused great undue hardship. Though terribly frustrating, that is not what I take issue with at this time. ISSUE: 14 days later I have still not been refunded for the catering order that was not provided. As no goods or services were rendered, I have requested a refund. I called the restaurant and I spoke with Santiago who assured me he would follow up. That was over a week ago and I have not heard back nor seen the refund processed. I attempted to call the restaurant again Tuesday, but the call would not go through. I called yesterday and spoke with Santiago again who assured me he would find out details of the refund and call me back the same day. I received no call. I called again today - Santiago won't be in until Saturday. I've exhausted all other options trying to resolve this. I will file a chargeback with my credit card company and file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Granada Hills Chamber of Commerce and with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. read more

The complaint I have is that whoever was responsible for putting the burritos together deliberately made both of the burritos Ultimo burritos instead of just one. He neglected to put a sticker for the burrito type on one of the wrappings either due to a guilty conscience or sheer ineptness; I suspect the former. The general public should be aware that the person preparing their food will probably tamper with their order if they suspect you are Jewish. And I was not even wearing a Magen David or kippa. This is in a huge plaza on the corner of Balboa and Devonshire. It has plenty of parking. I just ordered for pick up during the quarantine. I usually stick to steak fajita, steak tostada salad and steak burrito ultimo. I substitute sour cream for extra guacamole and they are always accomodating. They had salsas prepackaged already by the cashiers but I didn't see any jalapeños or pico de gallo. I forgot to ask for them but I'm sure they have it as well. Always call in your order for less waiting. I saw like 6 people inside waiting but my food was ready to go when I got there. I've always enjoyed Baja Fresh, I remember walking to one near my home in the SGV as a child, and I always wanted chicken tacos. Luckily, this location is close to work and has a great menu filled with plenty of options from salads, to burritos and enchiladas. I got two chicken tacos a la carte and a cup of the chicken tortilla soup, they also give you a side of chips (something I shouldn't have eaten, but dearly enjoyed). I've always liked Baja Fresh because I feel the food and space is always cleaner, and I love salsa options they have. The staff were friendly and my food was ready within a few minutes of my arrival, which is deeply appreciated. Definitely one of my favorite quick lunch spots. read more

So disappointed in this place. I used to go to Baja Fresh years ago..when it was actually fresh. They used to give you grilled green onions on the side. The best way I can describe Baja Fresh is like a higher quality, more delicious version of Sharkeys. I love the chicken taquitos from Baja, they're always consistently good! The chickens flavor is perfect and never dry. This location is really friendly and generous with their salsas! The food here is not too bad but it depends on what you order. I usually order the chicken taquitos and they're pretty good. My husband orders the shrimp burrito and it isn't bad but the shrimp size could use improvement. Tonight I ordered the shrimp tacos and the shrimp are not what you expect a shrimp taco to be. Very Small shrimp which they try to make up with the quantity (4) actually they put in the taco. So not worth the price and disappointing. The chicken burritos are also good. We only order here when it's late or we're too tired to drive elsewhere for the same type of food. As a last resort it's fine but not if you can drive elsewhere and get more for your money. I've always liked Baja Fresh, but when they started closing all of them in my area, South Bay Harbor Area, I was bummed. Until I came to this area with a friend and saw they had Baja Fresh here! I begged her to eat here, since I hadn't eaten it in years and wasn't disappointed. I got the Steak Baja burrito which I always got before and was delicious. Steak was juicy and seasoned nicely, guacamole was fresh and not old. Salsa still tasted amazing. The manager and employees were courteous, nice, and friendly, despite the establishment was near closing time. Delicious and ALWAYS fresh, Mexican food. I've been eating more healthy recently and my go to is the baja ensalada with wahu fish w/cilantro ranch (and I add fresh lime)I love the guac and chips. And of course I always get extra sides of jalapeños. My son's favorite is the steak fajitas-- which are sooooo delicious and always hit the spot. Also the orders are pretty massive (usually it takes two meals to finish). The customer service is excellent, always. Orders are easy to customize. The food at this location is on par with other Baja Fresh locations around. The staff is friendly. The food is consistent. I really like that they don't oversaturate their guacamole with citrus to make it last longer. I felt the need to post a review here because this is the only take out restaurant that I've ordered from over the years that consistently goes over my order with me at checkout. It doesn't matter what time of day, or which employee is at the register, they always make sure I leave with exactly what I ordered. Also, on several occasions, I've saved money or gotten a better deal based on their recommendations. The staff knows the menu and specials well enough to make recommendations, and cares enough to say something. The couple times it's happened weren't up-sell situations either, they were genuine, "If you order that like this, you'll save 50 cents and get more food." read more
