I decided to check this place out as it was walking distance to my place. I was craving a cheese burger so I didn't end up trying any of the traditional Mexican items on the menu. The cheese burger was $12 for a combo, which was very cheap. Th cheeseburger itself was average but for $12 it was decent. I enjoyed the fries though. The inside was clean and AC was blasting. Great spot for a quick bite. I've came here since I was a kid and it is always quite yummy and consistent! They have a big menu to choose from and let me remove the meat option from my sope, and instead substituted with beans! Wait time is usually really short and there's plenty of places to sit. Horchata is good but only if you have a big sweet tooth. I diluted it with water. The salsas always have so much flavor to me. Overall, recommend! read more

Solid quick service Mexican food spot! I've been coming to this place since I was a kid, and in my visit today after a couple of years, everything was exactly as I remembered it. Food is consistently good and the ladies at the register are friendly. The space is clean and has a good amount of seating for dining in, though I think most people tend to take their orders to go. I always get the nachos with al pastor and my favorite thing about them is the liquid nacho cheese! My mom went to this restaurant and we are usually there all the time we love the nachos and all the food, but this experience ruined the entire experience where we will never go back. My mom went and asked for little to no grease on the meat and the person taking the order told whoever was behind the grill that and he started making snarky comments about it and asked do you want me to eat the food too, and then proceeded to add a lot of grease on the tacos. They take credit card, if you need there are photos to pick what plate you want, and there's a salsa bar to serve yourself. I would definitely visit this Taqueria again. I ordered asada nachos and tacos. Both were flavorful and very authentic. The portions were definitely generous for the price. The location is small, with around three or four tables, and parking can be a challenge, but off peak hours should be no problem. Tried it out today for lunch and was really disappointed. Think I paid $15 for asada fries and they were something you could get better out of a snack stand at a high school football game. Fries, some beans, the asada was definitely old and been sitting in a warmer for quite a bit, some guac, all swimming in the most watery canned cheese sauce you could imagine. Tbh I have never been so disappointed in a burrito .. my burrito mainly consisted of beans and lots of it with chewy steak .. no rice .. The morning female staff kept getting my order wrong It was 11:50am and asked for mojarra frita with a side of fries and "no beans", when I receive my food, she never removed the beans that I told her I didn't want on my plate, and gave me a whole complete opposite of what I ordered. She gave me fish sticks instead of the mojarras. Then, when I confronted her about my order, instead of resolving the issue and taking accountability for her mistakes, she argued with me about what I ordered when I knew what I ordered. After taking my plate rudely and remaking it, She gave me the right order, but still added the beans I told her to remove, i confronted her the second time and she became rude and very unprofessional, I didn't feel comfortable eating there so I just got my food to go at that point. read more

Used to come to this place when I was a kid and crazy to see it's still here and honestly the food still tastes the same. It had been so long since I ate here, maybe 14 years but the flavors legitimately took me back to when I was getting out from high school and grabbing a bite to eat on my way home. The lady at the Counter "M"... was rude .. she never made eye contact. I clearly asked her for NO ice in the Horchata we both spoke in Spanish. Great spot for a quick bite if you're in this area. I love a small family owned business and this find was just what I needed. They have a large menu, quick service and a 75cent debt card use if you don't have cash. The restaurant was extremely clean and the service was quick. I hate sharing pictures of half eaten food, but it smelled so good I couldn't wait. The chicken burrito was packed with veggies and avocado. Wow. I have been supporting this business almost my whole life because these are sweet people and do make delicious food. Forward to now, I've seen the staff changed. The old staff were so friendly and welcoming. Let alone, understand basic public health. The newer staff are not helpful. If you call them on the phone because you want to make a complaint, good luck. The manager is never there. I have gotten the worst food poisoning from eating their nacho fries. I remember neither the cashier or the cook washing their hands when I was waiting. It is disgusting. It was the worst sickness I've ever had. YUMMY!!! We will definitely be back! My hubby is from MX so he's a pretty tough critic! We got menudo (the last bowl) so get there early if you want it! It was the best I've had in a while and we just had it in MX in Father's Day it was terrible compared to this menudo. I had a quick lunch at El Indo Azteca while I was doing laundry next door. El Indio Azteca is a little taqueria at the corner of the shopping center, next to the 7-11. After waiting ima few minutes, I decided to order three tacos- carne asada, machaca, and chicken. The counter service, to be frank, was curt, cold, and disinterested. The tacos came out pretty quickly, served with standard chips and salsa. I decided to go with tomatillo, which was a bit spicy for my palate. I really enjoyed the carne asada and machaca tacos, which were both well-cooked, well-seasoned, and not dry. The chicken taco was underwhelming, as it was bland in comparison to the other two tacos. Given the price point, manner of service, and overall quality, I would return to El Indio Azteca it if was a matter of convenience. read more

I walked in with my fiancé, automatically she looked at us up and down because it's a Hispanic with a "white guy". She was rude, extremely rude to my fiancé so I had to start ordering for him. Then I asked for my eggs to be well done, she stated that's not how the "huevos rancheros are made". First of all I am not asking her how they are made, I'm telling her I want my eggs well done. I came today at 3:30pm on 3/20/22. The cashier was the most rudest person I've ever met and had to shame to show it. I asked her if the juice was fresh in English and she looked at me with disgust and didn't even attempt to put in some effort and try to understand me. I then asked if she had Google pay and she said yes, as I attempted to pay with my Android watch she told me the machine wouldn't reach and didn't offer any other alternative to help. I Saw that the machine was able to stretch and get handed to the customer by a springy cord which she didn't attempt to try until I told her to. Please remember that this is the San Fernando valley and not Tijuana and we have both English speaking and Spanish people here.
