Oh my gosh, I think I startled the girl when I told her that my snow cone was ridiculous. I had no other adjective to describe how ridiculously good and on point her suggestion was for a craving. I really didn't understand. Lol I ordered a white coconut and cherry Coke, with light flavor and she suggested I add cream, there will never be another snow cone for me. This is my new favorite dessert. And, they offer açai bowls, yogurt, bowls, and real fruit smoothies now! It's been quite a while since I visited a Bahama bucks, but the piña colada smoothie was absolutely amazing. It's obviously not like a smoothie you would get from Hawaii, just to be super clear, but the fruit is fresh and ripe, it is well blended, and I don't think they add any sweetener because it was very good. read more

I grew up in Hawaii where shave ice is a big deal, and Bahama Bucks is the only place I've found in Arizona that truly replicates my experience with the treat back home. The ice is so soft and shaved so finely that it melts in your mouth. The condensed milk topping is an absolute must try and if you're in for an extra treat ask for ice cream at the bottom of your cup. I truly feel like I teleport back home for a second each time I enjoy a treat from Bahama Bucks. Saturday evening and this place was bananas. The drive thru line was very long and so was the inside line. This place is great! All the shaved ice flavors I've had are amazing! Employees were very friendly and definitely had the madness under control! They do offer a punch card and you get a free item of your choice after about the 10th punch. Great way to cool down during the heat or to have when your wanting to eat something sweet! Come here! read more

Yummy drinks but the slowest Drive Thru in town! I literally sat in line fir a single smoothie for almost 17MINUtES yesterday!! With only ONE person in front of me who got 1 drink! I was pretty upset b/c it made me get a late occurrence at work. They're Always really slow so I even allowed plenty of extra time! Plus their prices are absurdly high so I rarely go anymore whereas I used to several times weekly. I think I'll be searching for another smoothie place in town! Had a free punch card and I was in the area so I stopped in. The ladies working the register were friendly as I took my time deciding what to get. I settled on the Bahama berry blast smoothie and it was yummy. It had plenty of berry flavor in it and I liked the whipped cream and cherry on top. Being a BB noob, I probably should've gotten the shaved ice but I'll do that next time. I like that you can combine flavors and add on different toppings like sprinkles, lemon-lime salt, chocolate sauce and their creme. As far as shaved ice goes, this place is pretty much perfect. Normally you get a lot of ice and a little flavor. I swear this place empties the bottle into every shaved ice. You end up with fruit flavored soup at the bottom of your cup and it's awesome. Your pancreas probably doesn't appreciate it but F that thing. The shaved ice is more like fresh snow. It's not the hard chunks of ice I remember from my child hood where the flavoring seeped down to the bottom . You choose your base, toppings, additions, and drizzles. I went with the traditional chimney cake with Biscoff cookies, vanilla ice cream, and Nutella drizzle. Outside of the dessert options, which are the way to go for first timers, if you're feeling adventurous, they also have one or two savory options. The chimney cakes are served warm and absolutely delicious. They're filling too so come with an appetite. It's one of those things everyone should try at least once in their lifetime. So cool to have them in Mesa!

My mom and I went to the Bahama Bucks on Mesa Drive and Southern thru the drive thru and ordered two shaved icee's. Since I was driving, I had my mom hold mine until I arrived home. We realized when we got home that there were little bug/like inside the icee's.... I scooped one out and saw that it started to move! I looked thru a magnifying glass and took pictures/videos and realized it was a scorpion! I put the scorpion in a glass jar, along with the Cherry Bahama Buck and drove back to the store to show them what I had found. To my dismay, the young manager refused to look at the icee and the scorpion I had placed in a jar. He offered to give me another one, but I felt very uneasy and just asked for my money back. He rudely refused and walked away from the window. I stayed there very hurt and embarrassed hoping he would come back as I was very concerned about other people purchasing and possibly getting bugs in theirs... I called police to make a report of the possible dangers of scorpions and they directed me to call Bahama cooperate and the health department. The following day I did! Found this gem while searching the entire Phoenix area for Hawaiian shaved ice and went in with high expectations--- if you're a Hawaiian shaved ice fan VS Italian shaved ice then you know how easily disappointed you can get with the quality of your ice. Well, Bahama Bucks does not disappoint.... There are tons of flavors, smoothies, drinks, optional add ons, they use real fruit, affordable pricing AND a buy 10 get 11th free punch card, helpful and cheerful employees, a line out the door that moves quickly but quality of product does not suffer! Had the best time with my cousins! I brought a big group and even though they were super busy on a Sunday they were so nice. Ruby took my order and was super nice to me. I enjoy Bahama bucks ice-cream & shaved ice, this location is a bit small & take a good 15 minutes to receive your order. When my order was ready I had to ask for a lot of napkins because it had too much syrup or ice-cream was already melting, the cup was dripping.
