It's been almost two years since my last update here so I figured it's about time to give a newer review after my visit today. I was craving one of those sodas so I pulled on up expecting to have 10 cars in the drive through being a Saturday night at 8pm. I was actually the only one at the speaker with another car already at the pick up window when I saw that they have a Captain Crunch cereal flavor so I decided to get a small size instead of the drink. I was quickly greeted and within 2 minutes I was behind the car at the pick up window. I waited about 2 to 3 minutes as they have a bigger order (They should probably limit drive through to one or two items in the future) then it was my turn. I was expected to be ignored intill my order was ready but low and behold when I pulled up my sno cone was there ready to be taken. Even the inside only had a few customers. I think the sweet spots to come here is after 8pm or right around opening because any other time around lunch or right after dinner has been super busy. Indoors the floor is sticky that's to be expected but they really need a staff to keep the place clean especially since the preppers and cashiers are constantly swamped I've never been here not busy my shoes are sticky now the bathroom was gross too but the snow ones are yummy I just won't even try and think about how much cross contamination there may be - that being said everyone seems nice read more

I'm a regular at this location. If you come at the right time, the customer service will be A1 but lately there's been a younger, blonde chick who always acts as if she doesn't want her job. No one's asking them to be over the top with their service but the blonde girl definitely goes out of her way to exchange little to no words with you in the drive thru, barely acknowledging you as if you're inconveniencing her at her place of work which is ridiculous. She gives off a very cold energy (colder than the BB's themselves!) and it's clear she doesn't want to be there. This has happened EVERY TIME she's there when I go. There's also another black girl I encountered today that might be new that gave me a very stank attitude when I told her the drinks she tried to hand me was not my order. She said nothing and just closed the drive thru window and came back with the correct order. She had a really rude look on her face as if I'm the one who made the mistake. Also asked for more sour spray and black girl sent the blonde girl to do it since I guess she didn't want to "deal with me" anymore. First of all when you walking in there is a smell and I'm not sure if it's a dirty mop or the products but that need to be corrected. I'm not sure how anyone working there hasn't said anything in regards to the smell. Now for the snow cones; I had the tiger's blood and cream and it was just okay. The syrup wasn't sweet and neither was the cream. Maybe they watered them down, but I have had better snow cones from neighborhood stands and I always get the same flavor. The young man at the register was kind and had good customer service. The other employees were working and the drive thru was packed so they must have a good product. My visit was ahead of the COVID shutdowns. I left without making a purchase. I was out off by the smell of mold, a floor that was more sticky than an AMC after a kids movie and finally the most apathetic don't give a shat teenage employees. my internal calculations saw food poisoning as a given. read more

I have to update my review this place used to make the the best snow cones they were perfect!! Now the young boys working are only worried about chit chatting and not making quality snow cones and poor customer service. I have returned a few times to see if it would get any better but It was so bad this last time I took one bite and had to just dump all the flavored ice out and just eat the vanilla ice cream at the bottom. This location is going down hill the last 3-4 times I've gone with the family we been disappointed, either the wrong flavor or missing the ice cream or sprinkles when we pay for it. So-So is my overall opinion of my experience. I didn't think the restaurant was all that clean ( kinda smelled like moldy mop) I did like the really large selection of drinks and very unique recipes. I didn't get too crazy, just ordered a coffee blended drink but my daughter had some kind of pickles snowcone and she loved it. The prices were pretty reasonable in comparison. My daughter and i came into town this week. Tonight my brother and my sister told us about this place. My daughter and i decided to get some because we heard it was really good. So my brother was in line around 8:45. By the time he got to the intercom it was 8:50 no one answered him and the open sign was still lit up. I never understand why they're super slow. Every single time I come it takes 20-30 to make a freaking snow cone this is the main reason I stopped coming as often as I used to. Took my daughter because she received a free 12oz, which is a small, for perfect attendance. I didn't want to disappoint her because I reallllllllyyyyy hate coming to this place because of the long wait, even when there's no customers inside. So I watched while they made the snow cone and here's what I peeped!! They had five workers there but only 1 guy actually made the snow cones and the others watched him until they were ready and passed them along to the drive thru customers and then I overheard one of the workers tell him to make the in house order, which was mines, and I was just in shock to see that it took 5 workers to watch him make them. They have at least 4 ice shaver machines and I would love to know why they aren't being used and the other workers just waited around until he made the snow cones!!!! Went to Bahama Bucks for the first time this weekend and I liked it! This is super essential on most hot humid Houston days, and for the people Northeast of Houston, what a great addition to the neighborhood! Yes you'll see a long line at the drive-thru, and tons of families inside, but the lines go by pretty fast. Made to order, you will be guaranteed for a cold soft snow like fix of pretty much any flavor you want. I ordered from one of the original sno (shaved ice) flavors and then added a Bahama Rama Mama, which means a scoop of Blue Bell Ice Cream inside it and it was delicious! That night I had a taste of my friends flavors as well, and so far, cherry, mango, crème brulee, and strawberry cheesecake did not disappoint. The sizes run a little big, the small was too big for me, so I know next time I should get the baby size. The only reason why I wouldn't give this place a 5 star rating is the lack of cleanliness. I understand that top priority is serving and getting people through the line, but dining in was so disgusting. One, people don't know how to clean after themselves, and there was no workers to help clean out tables and mop the sticky floor. They need to pick up their game on cleaning up! read more

Super disappointed!!!! I heard this place had really good snocones so tonight we figured we would give it a try. Walk in 2 families ahead of us in line to order. Not crowded at all! So 10 minutes in line, which was crazy considering there were only 2 families ahead of us the cashier was just super slow!!! So finally we order, and 20+ minutes later we finally get our Snocones. Insane amount of time for 2 snocones. Now the only reason I gave them 2 stars in because the snocones were pretty tasty but definitely not worth the wait. We for sure will not be back. read more

I don't come to Bahama Buck's often but today I had a bad experience. This locations customer service is very slow and the inside smells like mold. When I enter a restaurant I expect it to appeal to the customer and I was not pleased. I first decided to go inside but when they took more than 10min to ring up two customers, I proceed to just go through the drive thru. This took an additional 10min. Once I got to the window the young lady working sat there taking another persons order and waited until they figured out what they wanted rather then just checking me out in the meantime. If there were two people taking drive thru orders at the same time it would be more efficient to get people in and out. Ive been to plenty of fast food places, with longer lines, and more customers with complicated orders, but moved must faster. How difficult can it be to make a snow cone? read more

Here are just a few reasons that my one and only visit to Bahama Bucks sucked! 1. The cup was torn at the rim in two places, looked like it had been bitten twice. The rude cashier Jeremy just said it is the way the cup was dispensed and didn't offer to make me a new one since he slammed the drive-thru window closed. 2. Since Jeremy slammed the window closed I didn't get any napkins. 3. The ice was not shaved down properly and I had to spit out two rather large chunks before I accidentally bit down on them which could cause a tooth to break. Trust me there is a reason I do not crunch ice! 4. There was way too much syrup and it was just soupy after I finished the cone part. I even had to throw almost 1/2 of the cup away due to the ice chunks and abundance of syrup. At 7:30 pm and the place is moderately busy with a line. I can count 12 people behind the counter yet no one clean the tables which are sticky and with trash. I had to ask one of the worker to clean a table for us and he did. He cleaned one table and left multiple tables dirty. I don't think they care about cleanliness. The kids did enjoy the snow cones. This was our first Bucks experience and it was a good treat! Came here based off seeing it advertised on HKA FB page and though it had been open only a week i had NO CLUE it was going to be so PACKED! I thought sno cone...how busy could it be on a sat night...well we waited in line to get the sno cone for about 25 min. Ordering was the easy part. I was overwhelmed with the flavor choices but now i just have more reasons to visit frequently. I ended up getting a safe small watermelon and it was in between ice cream and a true sno cone. Melt in your mouth good. We will def be back when we can but it is sadly a little too far of a drive from Kingwood just for a small order. There is a drive thru...boards to play in the eating area and a nice outdoor beachy type place to hang out on the nice sunny days. read more

Dedicate one (or two depending on how many people are in line) associate to the drive thru. 2.
