For my husband's birthday I decided to give him a charter fishing trip. We woke up bright and early and signed in. My husband told me to take seasick pill even after I told him that I don't get seasick. I kind of think this was the cause because... Yep, you guessed it, after we were on the bumpy water and I had caught one whole fish, I started feeding the fish. My entire trip was me feeding fish. Oh, wait, except the one time I decided to feed try the reel again and slipped going head to head with the fish in the bins beneath me. I could have sworn one was screaming "Nooooooo!!!!" As I was trying to avoid him. The crew was so amazing! They had to try and balance taking care of me along with the many fishermen/women/kids. They even changed location of smoking because I told them it was making it worse for me (yes, they smoke on the boat). The crew caught my fish for me so when hubby and the rest were finished we had plenty of fish. I highly recommend taking this charter and plan on going again sooner than later...but without the seasick pills. Really, I think that was the cause. ;) ........ .. .... ....................

The next year we booked a couple of charters (the bottom fish and the long leader ) with Prowler charters based mostly on the reasonable price compared to other charters in the area and they did not disappoint! It is family owned and run from the office to the ocean and they are helpful and happy to help. Our whole family have been on 3 bottom fish / long leader trips since and caught our limit every time. This week my son and I went out on the tuna trip which was a long day as you have to go out really far to hit the hot spots but, man it was worth it! Captain Wayne navigated the area like a champ and we were hitting multiple fish... up to 7 fish on at a to time more than once and I gotta say the chaos ran like clock work with the 'tuna system' they have going and everyone was involved in the team effort following the lead of the crew! Probably the best day fishing of my life... we packed it in after landing 102 big tuna on board! We will be back, you can count on that!

You can choose from guided tour to self guided which is what I recommend if you're somewhat familiar with the dunes; from any state. If you're new to dune riding, might want to get the guided tour or play it safe and ride slow. The dunes can have drop-offs or be too steep going up and you need to know how to navigate. We opted for the 2-hour self guided tour in a 4-seater with awesome power. Didn't get stuck at all and plenty of time to go to the beach twice and run from east to west of the entire dunes. Checking in was easier than I thought as most forms and videos are done prior online. Got our safety brief of where to go and where not to go, speed limits, and then how to call for help. Don't show up in crocs or open toed shoes as you'll need to be protected. The deposit of the vehicle is quickly returned to your card after you're done riding, as long as there's no damage. Professional staff and quick to get you out riding. Arrive 30 minutes prior to your time so you can ensure everything is done and you're ready to ride!

They have a spot just for the kids where the adults are monitoring the area to make sure they all stay safe. One hour was under $100 and they provided all the gear. Staff will even give a quick 5 min tutorial of the machine and make them do a figure 8 to show that they can turn. My only complaint is how many times I needed to provide a copy of my driver's license. They make a photocopy and then take 2 more pictures while filling out the paperwork. We will be back for sure to ride the quads in the dunes later! Ask about their military discounts as well.

We opted for the 2.5 hours with 90 minutes free and it still went by so fast. The dunes are challenging and keeps you on your toes until you hit the coast which is gorgeous and a ton of fun to cruise on. A huge shout out to Dave who made the check in and out seamless and Jeremy who was on it when we got stuck after the back wheel clipped a tree on a narrower trail ( suggestion on going back to where we clipped the tree and cutting it down: evidence shows we where NOT the first person to hit that tree.....we will have to pay to have it repaired fingers crossed it won't be that much! Alex and Jeremy helped us out, were super accommodating and welcoming. Jeremy also talked to us about how the helmets are cleaned (steam cleaned before going into a sanitizing oven for 3 hours) which was important to know. We hesitated on top of a dune and ended up getting stuck but we gave Alex a call and he and Jeremy came up to help us right away. When feeling a little nervous about approaching a dune, Alex and Jeremy were incredibly helpful talking to us about it too. Jeremy then demonstrated what to do when driving up to the top of the dune before going down the other side which helped us feel more at ease. Alex and Jeremy are excellent and deserve much praise. The pricing is also better compared to Spinreel too. Alex definitely seems like an experienced leader there. He and Jeremy are a great team and are professional, kind and knowledgeable. These guys are great assets to the company. Hope they are valued and appreciated! Would definitely come back to rent again on a future trip.
