The filet knife has a 9" blade and 4" handle.

This is the place to go for tackle and solid fishing info. Nick set me up with the right rigs for my very first Surf Perch adventure and gave me a mini clinic on how to read the waves to find the deeper water. Had a great rookie outing. Seven nice Perch in about an hour, 8 to 13" in size. The Gulp Sand Worms that Nick recommended were killers.

Great people here! The store doesn't have what we need but the man here helped us out using his magic! He is very patient with us and glad to share what he knows. Without him, we would waist a lot of time on the way for finding the missing tools!

Great tackle and bait shop next to the docks! Friendly and helpful staff with a sense of humor. We rented crabbing equipment from this shop, and caught our dinner in a couple of hours. Highly recommend this shop - it will be our go - to place in Charleston from now on.

We went to the Big Five store there on Saturday, 10/25/2025 with the intention to buy an Everlast…read more100lb heavy boxing bag, an Everlast speed bag, and the Everlast stand for those two bags. We also intended to buy some other things. These items totaled over $300.00 that we were going to spend that day. When we asked about the boxing bags and stand we were referred to a young man that was in that department. The first thing he said was that his leg hurt, and he was having a bad day. We saw sales tags on the bag and stand, but the tag was on the wrong bag. He didn't seem to know which bag was on sale, so we showed him an ad, and found the right bag. We then asked about the stand which had a sales tag on it for $144.49 but he said it was $150.00. When we asked why 150.00 instead of 144.99 he flew into a rage, and said in a very very loud voice: Jesus Christ, I only a rounded up a penny (not recognizing that it was a difference of over $5.00 not one penny) Then he turned around, and stomped off, not speaking to us anymore. We called out after him, (and I know he heard us) but he wouldn't acknowledge us. We then went up to the checkout desk and told them what happened, and asked to speak to a manager, They said the person we talked to was a department manager, but they would have the store manager contact us when he came in the next day. They also said that the person who helped us seems to have bad days every day, and there had been previous complaints about him. The store manager still has not called back. We have called the store three days in a row now, and the store manager still has not contacted us. We just get the the promise that he was looking into it, and would call us back. We find this totally unacceptable, as we have been loyal customers since this store branch opened years ago, but no more.

My health insurance was expiring in a few days and I had to get home. Getting a mechanic in Florence was very difficult because they were in their peak tourist season. I was running around everywhere trying to see what I could do. The staff at Sportsman were very knowledgeable. They looked at my bike even though they were busy. I could not get the Yamaha part I needed. However, they send me to someone who might be able to help me. The people who work there know their stuff and are very kind. Now I just want to find the contact of the person who helped me get home, thank him and let him know I made it back. I do not have his number or his full name. All I know are the directions of where I would meet him. 1 mile heading south on 101 turn right on s Loftus rd and right again on s Lazy Lady ln. If anyone knows who I am talking about please forward me his number to nadkamadia@yahoo.com Thanks to everyone who was helpful at getting my bike home. You are a part of my story and for that I thank each and every one of you. Nadia

This place is sectioned off really nicely and has something for everyone. Clothing for the entire family at really reasonable prices. Checked out their handgun section and even though they don't have as much of a selection as say a Cabela's what they do have are popular brands and calibers. Staff that is knowledgeable and more than willing to give you advice and information about the handguns they do have. If they aren't sure of an answer they find out while you are looking. These guys were hands down some of the best I have ever worked with at outdoor/gun shop. They truly care about the customer experience and the way the work with the customers encourages their return. No pressure shopping at it's best! They don't try and push you into making a decision and they make sure to let everyone know they are willing to work with you on price if they are able to. Wasn't really sure what to expect when I went into this store, but I'll be the first to admit it wasn't this. Great staff. Great selection. Clean store. Competitive prices!
