The spot is cute, been wanting to go for a long time but their hours are hard to work around when you work a 9-5 and don't live locally. The woman working was super friendly, checking out was easy. There is a plethora of yarn, every different style, color, type you could think of. Even locally made! I ended up snagging a beautiful 'Silky Merino' skein. We visit Coos Bay every year, and this is a place I like to visit every time. The location is a really sweet old house, where all the rooms are transformed into a huge yarn shop. I love the selection of local yarns and notions, which I like to get as a souvenir. The staff is warm and inviting, and let me feel like I can take my time wandering around. There is a tree on the side that is decorated in crochet that I really loved, and took a few pictures of (don't miss it). I think my favorite part is the side room that locals meet up in. The room always seems to be full of good friends, and I like listening to them as they work. read more

Traveling up the Oregon coast on highway 101 we passed through the scenic town of Bandon. People may come to Bandon for the breathtaking ocean views, or the delicious seafood but if you're a knitter, you need to stop by The Wool Company. They have a wide variety of yarns and notions plus a friendly and helpful associate. While I was in the shop they had a community room for classes and a chance to chat with other crafters. They also had cute odds and ends for sale. Next time I'm in Bandon, I'll be sure to stop by again. read more

Visiting Bandon Central Oregon and camping at Bullards Beach State Park in our motorhome. Looked online for a yarn store in town and I was not disappointed!! Beautiful selection of yarns and the owner was just a delight! I am SO jealous I don't have a store like this in my town!! Kelly made a wonderful suggestion for a fun project using the Bamboo Bloom Handprints and I'm relaxing at my campsite working on it right now! This yarn shop has been on my list to check out for a while. We were previously in Bandon and I needed yarn for my new daughters hat who is date in September, so decided to finally check it out. It said open on Sunday on Google so we went it was closed. But the owner happened to be across the street and asked us if we wanted to shop around. I thanked her for her kindness and said yes. My friend and I have been on a girl's trip. On the way back to California, we stopped in Bandon for the night. It was pouring rain when we found the Wool Company. From the moment we entered, we felt like we were with friends! Both women took the time to help us select yarn for a project that we didn't even know we wanted to make until we saw samples in their lovely store! Prettiest yarn store I've seen! Flowers all around the outside. The place looks like a little cottage. The lady is super friendly and is not at all pushy. I found some great baby blankets in the clearance section that I will remodel to make cowls. Worth a visit. read more
