So many samples, I couldn't believe it. We bought a ton of delicious goodies. I would come here again and again.

Honestly, the name is a bit deceptive. Sure, they have cranberry sweets, but they also have sweets in just about every other fruit you can name. And wine or beer sweets. And chocolate. And snacks. And bath and body items...okay, you get the idea. As far as the sugary goods go, their pate de fruit is oft spotted at specialty stores around Oregon, and the treat that originally introduced me to Cranberry Sweets. It is excellent! They offer plenty of prepackaged varieties and mixes, but since you're at the store, take advantage of the counter where they have near 20 flavors you can mix and match, many not available elsewhere! I especially love the raspberry and Marionberry flavors, but you'll be pleased with any. They even have a few sour tart varieties. They also sell chocolates, again with the option of prepackaged or choose your own. I especially enjoyed their well made caramel and truffles. They had a little "oops" section in the back corner with discounted treats, and the right hand side of the store has non-edibles like soaps, lotions, kitchen items like towels, plates, and mugs, and just all sorts of goodies! There are samples out and I didn't try one bad thing except the cheddar fudge, but...well, you can't create hits all the time, and it did make me laugh! Prices are reasonable, employees are friendly, and while parking is only available along the street, we easily found a spot and you should be good except at the height of tourist season. Besides, this is a darling little downtown, so if you have to park far away no biggie - you can explore the other cute shops in the area. Overall, a visit to Bandon ought to include a stop at Cranberry Sweets. Treat yourself and grab some goodies as gifts, too! read more

Who doesn't love a visit to the candy store?!? Cranberry Sweets is a fun stop to shop for candy/ sweet treats. The staff is helpful, and there are samples places all over the store, which is pretty generous. I was hoping to find some tasty cranberry items, especially since the area is known for their cranberries. They have some items, but nothing out of the ordinary. I found the items to be tasty, but not worth the high price tag. The store is a tourist trap, but a tasty one! read more

Their generosity and service are outstanding! We are greeted with a smile and a hello. The aroma of chocolate is pervasive. As you walk around the very well lit store you find a collection of various fruit wines. There is one entire wall dedicated to the largest collection of candied popcorn imaginable. I had to get some of the chocolate peanut butter popcorn and found it is way better than I anticipated. It is generously coated with chocolate and very crunchy at the same time. Another section of the store is dedicated to bin after bin of flavored jelly beans leading up to the counter that has an enormous collection of truffles and ganache chocolates. As I go to the register to purchase my chocolate popcorn, the lady at the register gives me a funny smile, puts my popcorn in a bag, then opens a drawer that is loaded with a variety of sealed samples of just about everything they have. Then she gives me a devilish smile and starts loading handful after handful of samples into my bag of all these other chocolates and treats in the store! She practically doubled the size of my purchase and made the bag much heavier. Made me feel like a kid in a candy store!! read more

This is the sweetest place. The candy is great but what really sent this over the top is the very nice lady working there that told us about how they started with 3 candies. So many yummy treats!!! And they give samples. Popcorn in a variety of flavors (my favorite was the s'more but the stout and pretzel was interesting too). Great candy and gift shop, you can sample almost anything before purchasing. Prices are a bit high, but worth it! The best candy in my opinion is the Lemon Meringue Pie candy, with the Key Lime at a close second. They also have chocolates, fudge, fun gift items like candles and stuffed animals. The fruit flavors are intense so there's no guessing what you're eating. The peppermint patties are the best I've ever had. Super super rude lady at the counter. Was here 09/08/2020 230pm. I have been shopping here for 20 years and will never return or recommend this shop. Actually I will go out of my way to ensure anyone I know does not spend money there. I walked in with my children. Myself wearing the mask. My young children not, as Oregon's does not mandate children under 12yrs old. Apparently the store does. Ok no problem I have masks for them. However I promptly realized this worker was a total rude rat so why the heck should I drop my cash here? Peace out nasty lady. So I went and spent almost $500 between the other 2 candy/chocolate stores!!!@ Hahaha, and guess what my babies did NOT have to wear masks when I asked AND the workers were totally polite. Super fun, home-made candy store with many things you can't get anywhere else! The store is full of "help yourself" samples - probably fifty or more at any given time. Not only do they have lots of chocolate treats, but also fudge, pâtés, flavored popcorns, and more. The pâtés (firm jellies with sugar coatings) are my favorite, especially the orange peel and the grapefruit flavored. The staff are really friendly and will be glad to let you sample any of the candies that are not already out to try. I highly recommend the Cranberry Sweets Company whenever you are in Bandon. Awesome little shop in Bandon, Oregon!! We spotted Cranberry Sweets Company while exploring this quaint coastal town. We bought several goodies plus a night light. Hey, it is a cool night light that we still use today. There were many candy samples that we tried. Most memorable item we purchased was some Cheddar Cheese Fudge. Oh my goodness!! I loved it!! It combined two of my loves which are cheese and fudge!! How cool is that!! Probably an acquired taste cause my wife was not a fan. She did enjoy the other candies though. Yummy! We stopped in on a recent visit to the Oregon Coast, and this sweet shop is a must visit! I have always enjoyed orange sticks, and those types of jellied candies, and they have a large selection! We purchased the famous cranberry sweet chocolates and key lime pie jellies covered in white chocolate. Everything is melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The staff there are very very nice. They don't have much anymore on the shelves. And the samples they give out, honestly I feel what's the point of even giving out samples. My mom and I went in there today and we received two samples to tiny little pieces. That's nothing compared to what they used to give out. I'm reviewing this as a tourist attraction, which is really what it is. And really, it couldn't be better. Except, of course, if you are a diabetic. Then stay far, far away from this place. The Cranberry Sweets Company is a huge candy store selling mostly hand-made candy (they have jelly beans, but not much in the way of commercial packaged candy). They have almost every kind you can imagine and, here is the great part, you can taste them all. Or at least most of them. Dozens upon dozens of choices. Indeed, there are so many to try that you won't want to try them all, lest you fall into a sugar induced comma. I thought the candy was OK, nothing jumped at me as being particularly delicious, but most of it was tasty enough. It's rather expensive to buy, but it's hard to get out of there without buying something (not that there is pressure, but you'll find something you want more of later). If you have kids, this is a place you can't miss. read more

So we're walking Old Town and come across Cranberry Sweets Company and notice a sign saying "free samples." We figure "Why not?" and walk in. This place is rediculous. They are beyond generous with the samples. There must have been three dozen bowls of every kind of chocolate, candy and popcorn imaginable. We sampled until we had to tap out. Of course, I would feel guilty sampling so much and not purchasing anything, so we dropped a little over $50 on goodies. Been in business since 1961. Little did I know when I walked in, it would be a treasure chest of goods. I didn't even know they were on Rachel Ray's t.v show, till they showed clips of her visiting the place on the t.v. There are endless samples of everything they sell pretty much. You couldn't even finish a sample of each before getting full. I loved it! A++ grade on covid precautions and flavors! My boyfriend and I stopped in for his birthday -- the staff was super friendly and gave us recommendations as to where we might be able to see some local cranberry farming. They even had prepackaged samples that they threw in with our purchase -- I never would have thought to try strawberry flavored caramel corn or a cinnamon white chocolate square, but they really nailed the flavors. If I could give them no stars I would. We adore the candy they give out and we even bought our fair share but THEY ARE NOT CHILD FRIENDLY. I took 3 children in with me and we spent 58.00 not alot but enough..the 11 yr old reached in and got a candy and the cashier took the bowl and dumped it in the garbage like she had a disease.
