    Cheese please

They have many types of yummy curds that you can taste prior to purchasing. There's cheese, wine, ice cream and meals prepped in a deli like set up. I was disappointed in the poor cracker selection.

This is a bald eagle checking out the boardwalk right here in Bandon.

I live here in Bandon, I love the food. I love the cheese. I love the ambience It is absolutely a beautiful building inside and out. There's a little creek that runs along the side where you can hang out in the shade. I buy the little premade gift boxes they have for my family every year for Christmas. " they just love it " they are very generous with their ice cream as well and it is yummy. Most of the staff that I have dealt with is very polite spot on and have really good suggestions, especially when it comes to buying the variety boxes of cheese. However, there are two women that work there that judge you by your appearance. I because I am a local patron of the face route creamery I have been known to go in there with shorts and T-shirt in the middle of August , new shorts, new shirt Nike tennis shoes. I walked in to pick up three bags of cheese curds as I had family coming from Portland to visit. The woman smirked at me and looked me up and down. She asked me if she could help me or if I was lost. I told her I was in there for three bags of cheese curds and then asked her. Why would you ask if I was lost? She told me that this is a very nice establishment and most of our business is tourist business and we are not accustomed to seeing people walk in with shirt and shorts. I told her that that was rude and continued with our purchase of three bags of cheese curds. So if you are a tourist, I would not recommend going there wearing a shirt and shorts brand new or not. Other than that, I would highly recommend the face rock creamery. When they first opened up, they had to most perfect Havarti cheese I have ever ate. I have been in several times and asked and so far no luck. But it is an absolute must do if you happen to go in and they have it available.

EDIT: I did finally get a response from the info email address. They did refund the purchase price of the cheese, offering an explanation that "USPS does not allow the shipper, just the receiver, to dispute the shipping charges". Adjusted my rating to denote the eventual effort to make things right, and expect Face Rock will be filing a claim of their own to compensate themselves for their loss. Still, 2 days after the point in time the problem was reported is pretty long. Original review: While an in-person experience may be significantly better, I can't say their online shop/service instills any sense of loyalty or willingness to buy from them. My one and only experience has been extremely poor. To start, their info and orders email accounts don't appear to be manned, or they just chose to ignore the messages I sent to both addresses, with my order number in the subject. I started emailing them when USPS had miss-routed my shipment asking if it would survive the extra transit time, should I be concerned, etc. No responses to any of them. When my shipment finally arrived, a full 6 days after it was shipped out which in and of itself was a full 5 days after my order was placed, the cold packs had long since given out, the cheese was at 72 degrees Fahrenheit, definitely not refrigerated or safe. So I did exactly as their FAQ on their website stated to do, I called their Orders and Shipment department the next day (they were closed the day my package arrived), which rang to voicemail. No big deal, I left a voicemail with my name, phone number, order number, and the issue. After 3 hours, I didn't get a call back, so I called again. This time I finally talked with someone who essentially did not care and told me to file a claim with the post office, but she'd talk with her manager and see what they could do and call me back the following morning. If you're guessing I never did get that call, you're correct. Since Face Rock has made it clear they have no interest in working with me to make things right or help, I've filed a complaint with Shop and with my credit card. Thanks for making my one and only experience with your company so poor that my friends and I no longer have any interest in your products. I hope the $30 you got from me was worth it.

Strong bold flavor - so good.

Cheese is a 10/10, and they have a board that shows wine and cheese pairings. Went off that and was able to pair a riesling wine with an alpine cheese. So good! Only bummer was that they didn't make their own icecream... you can get Umpqua icecream anywhere.

Never been before. Hesitant because it was a creamery.... Flat bread pizza was amazing! Giant pretzel and beer cheese was amazing! Quick service. Nice and clean! I was very surprised and definitely recommend FaceRock Creamery!

Was up at my Aunt's house in Bandon, and wanted to hit this place up! I got some ice cream (Cranberry Cheesecake) and some cheese (Vampire Slayer garlic cheddar, and some Aged Cheddar cheese). Ice cream portions are MASSIVE. A childs scoop is literally 3 scoops. A regular is like 4 scoops. The cheeses were great! A little pricey, but worth it for the quality. Had a great stop with my Aunt and Brother to sample their fine dairy offerings! Would be back often if I lived in the area!

Gigantic portions of ice cream scoops, samples available of all the cheese you'd ever want to try, and tons of seating (with a view). The truffle cheddar is amazing. The ice cream itself is reasonably priced. Not sure if I would recommend any other type of food here but for the cheese and ice cream - its a hit!

Slow is the operative word of the day. This is a business that makes cheese, sells cheese, wine, Umpqua ice cream and a small variety of hot foods. The cheese they make here is a very good quality and has a large variety of types of cheese. Today I went in to order a philly cheese steak sandwich. We sat there waiting for quite a while until I pulled out my receipt to check what time I purchased the sandwich. It took 30 minutes before I got it, cost 8 bucks and they squished it flat in a panini press! I kid you not! This philly on a hoagie roll was less than half an inch thick! Check the pic! I put my water bottle next to it to show just how flat they smashed it. It was also very light on ingredients. The cheese making is done in an area visible but walled off by glass, fascinating to watch them make cheese. The wines are a variety of local and well known brands, the ice cream is absolutely smooth and creamy Umpqua Dairy, but the food... well, 3 out of 4 isn't bad I suppose, but to make me wait 30 minutes for a sandwich I could slip in my wallet?!?

It is sad not to have fresh curds in the bags. This is NOT a good change. Bring back the bags.

And snacks. And bath and body items...okay, you get the idea. As far as the sugary goods go, their pate de fruit is oft spotted at specialty stores around Oregon, and the treat that originally introduced me to Cranberry Sweets. It is excellent! They offer plenty of prepackaged varieties and mixes, but since you're at the store, take advantage of the counter where they have near 20 flavors you can mix and match, many not available elsewhere! I especially love the raspberry and Marionberry flavors, but you'll be pleased with any. They even have a few sour tart varieties. They also sell chocolates, again with the option of prepackaged or choose your own. I especially enjoyed their well made caramel and truffles. They had a little "oops" section in the back corner with discounted treats, and the right hand side of the store has non-edibles like soaps, lotions, kitchen items like towels, plates, and mugs, and just all sorts of goodies! There are samples out and I didn't try one bad thing except the cheddar fudge, but...well, you can't create hits all the time, and it did make me laugh! Prices are reasonable, employees are friendly, and while parking is only available along the street, we easily found a spot and you should be good except at the height of tourist season. Besides, this is a darling little downtown, so if you have to park far away no biggie - you can explore the other cute shops in the area. Overall, a visit to Bandon ought to include a stop at Cranberry Sweets. Treat yourself and grab some goodies as gifts, too!

I was relieved to find that not only are there wholesome homemade soups on offer but the sandwiches are made with homemade and unboring ingredients like house-baked bread, dilly tuna salad, chanterelles and their own cranberry sauce. I ordered the veggie sandwich, and a cup of the daily soup: veggie stew with chanterelles. Both were brimming with fresh vegetables, and they did not skimp on those freshly foraged mushrooms. Service was so friendly and welcoming. Our sandwiches took a bit longer than the time it takes to stand in line at a Subway.
