The club with half and half sides: onion rings and sweet potato fries
Delia S.

The food is delicious. I can't believe I've lived here all this time and never been. After talking with the super helpful person at the front counter who gave me some great suggestions, I opted for the club. It was delicious and not very greasy which I appreciated. I did not get mayonnaise, but substituted for the tomato chutney and it was a hit for sure! The only problem was that it was supposed to come on sourdough bread; however, mine came on a toasted bun that was just flipped upside down to appear that it was sourdough. If they just would have told me they were out of sourdough bread, it would have been fine, but it was a little bit off-putting that they did not tell me up front and tried to masquerade the bun as sourdough bread. Overall, it really wasn't a big deal, though. You must try both the onion rings and the sweet potato fries. They each come with their particular sauce and it was a perfect combination to the savoriness of the club sandwich. I think the prices were reasonable too. And I'll be sure to join again for lunch. The patio is accommodating for dogs, so it's totally fine to bring your furry friend.I brought mine!

This is one of my favorite burger places in Hoover. Today I decided to have the blackened catfish sandwich. The sandwich is "dressed" with lettuce, tomato, and pickles, and it was delicious. I ordered a side of onion rings. I usually love their fried sides (fries, okra, tots, and rings), but today the rings were a bit greasy. Service is counter order, self-service drink station, and staff delivers your order to your table. Ambiance is comfortable with indoor and outdoor seating. It was pretty full at the lunch hour, and parking a little bit of a challenge.

Lamb burger and 1/2&1/2 tots+sweet potato fries with the craziest storm brewing outside? That's my Friday before the gym. This place gets pretty packed on Friday evening. It was filled up 5 minutes or so after I took this photo. The staff and management are great here. They are friendly and work rather quickly. My lamb burger was juicy with the perfect classic blend of toppings (grilled onions, roasted red peppers, feta, tomato, lettuce). Fries and tots were crisp. Forgot how much I used to like Baha Burger. Will have to add back in to my places to go when I'm hungry and don't feel like cooking.

We got burgers and a club chicken sandwich all with some type of potato fried goodness. The burgers are so big that is basically all you need. The guy working the front counter was great help he was really good at talking up everything on the menu. If you owe this place he deserves a raise (it was 4/16/26 around 1400) it was basically a fast food vibe with a waiter serve. You order at the counter and they will bring it to you and come clean your table. Good stuff

Found on Yelp, trying to find new place. Little unique way of ordering gotta give name per item. Gotta blah staff not friendly not rude, just blah kinda reminds you of squidward off SpongeBob. Lot of food, i didn't eat all of mine, I had classic burger with rings. Inside little dark but have a Hawaiian kinda theme with skateboard and surf boards. If in the area I eat there,

All in all it was a just a good ole classic cheese burger. The patty could have used some salt, but other than that ! They offer gluten free buns which is the reason we chose them, due to my wife. My wife liked the sweet potato fries with honey mustard. I enjoyed my crispy shoes string style fries with some ketchup! Outdoor patio was super nice on a beautiful spring afternoon!! Weather was just right for the patio!

You walk in and the aroma of smoking meat surrounds you. The open kitchen with the BBQ pit in the back is surrounded by booths and tables, creating a warm and casual setting that is perfect for a family meal. The staff were universally friendly, not just our waitress but all the other servers and kitchen staff. They greeted us all with smiles and interacted kindly with my baby and toddler. The food was hearty and homey, with generous portions. We enjoyed a burger, pulled pork sandwiches, a corn dog, fries, baked beans, and a fried peach pie with vanilla ice cream. The burger was cooked fresh and perfectly grilled. The pulled pork was smoky and tender, but the sauce was a little more vinegary than I prefer. The fries were perfectly crisp and golden. My kiddo gave a huge thumbs up for his corn dog and the beans were a hit with the baby. The peach pie tasted like something my grandma would have made, warm and sweet and comforting. And if you like sweet tea so sweet you get cavities just looking at it, Archie's is the place for you (I had to do half and half myself).

About three minutes later, a couple came in and sat at another table, and they were waited on before either myself or the gentleman. I sat there as the staff behind the counter stared at me with disgusting looks. The waitress brought the older gentleman a drink without even asking for his order -- I'm assuming he was a regular and they knew what he wanted. Finally, after about six or seven minutes, a waitress came over and asked if I was waiting for someone. I told her no. She then asked if I could move to the counter and sit there. I told her I didn't want to move to the counter -- there was only one seat against a wall-type divider, and the space was about three feet wide. The older gentleman was not asked to move, and there was another older gentleman sitting by himself in a booth. Why was I being asked to move? I told the waitress that I would just leave, and she sarcastically said, "Well, you have a good night then." I did have a choice word to say to her as I was leaving. I really wanted to try Archie's, but I guess being young and dining alone is not welcomed here. A place like this deserves to go out of business.

We shared the Philly and fries and the street corn thing and I was so sad that I agreed to share. Especially that street corn thing. It was SO GOOD! The bun on the Philly is what made it (as is usually the case!) the fries are like the kind you get at the ballpark- and they came out so hot! Room temperature ketchup is perfect on these but there's other sauces available. They have boba tea and it made the restaurant have the most wonderful smell (even though I don't even like boba tea!) I will definitely be back, but I'm tentatively claiming this to be a GEM. Do not share food with your partner, go ahead and get your own!!
