I thought things couldn't get any worst but it did, the attitude of the chaser towards me said she didn't care. We decided to try Bagels on Bartow after several unsuccessful attempts at Bagel Cafe. (Bagel Cafe is VERY expensive and their food is so-so). BOB is not only reasonably priced, but their bagels are very good! (The bagels are made onsite) I usually get a mini bagel with veggie cream cheese. Ben, of course, gets his usual everything with scallion cream cheese, sliced onions and lox. The service is wonderful. The people behind counter make me feel welcomed the moment I walk in. Wait times are on the slow side and since discovering a new bagel place on my way to work, I must say these bagels are on the tough side compared to the soft fluffy bagels I've converted to. This is the best breakfast place in the area. I consistently have a great experience. My go to is the bacon egg and cheese on a toasted croissant. Recently, I ordered a large amount of bagels and mini muffins for an event I was having at my job and everyone was extremely happy with the breakfast. They have a wide variety of bagels and muffins. The young chinese american girl that took my order was cheerful and helpful...and my bagel was literally just out of the oven. This business also participates with City Harvest, they have a bulletin board, as well as another board with a quote for the day...loved this place. Picked up two-dozen assorted bagels and two 1 lb containers of cream cheese. Bagels were very fresh and the scallion cream cheese was very tasty. this bagel joint on bartow ave in co op city was my get some breakfast in the morning while waiting for a coworker stop and i can still smell them yummy hot bagels . during my visit last week before hitting kmart (got the boot from jury duty early , got to remove that old bronx address ) and was happy that they were still open after all these years on bartow ave. the smell of bagels still hits me with i enter and i really don't feel like my decision on what to order will change , one everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and a black n white cookie or blueberry muffin as well ( got both cookies , one for the road ) good assortment of bagels and spreads including mini bagels with a decent amount of sweets if you prefer . the sandwiches are well stuffed as i recalled and the breakfast omlettes ain't bad either . they still have the buy a dozen bagels and get 2 free which my coworkers liked very much . glad this place is still around and the bagels are still good after all these years . read more
