Hands down my favorite bagel. My previous favorite was Einstein's but there isn't one near where I live now. The bagels are masterfully made by a professional baker (her accolades line the wall by the cashier) and the coffee is freshly roasted by a master barista (I believe he is the owner? And his accolades are on the wall as soon as you walk in). The bagels are fluffy and light and you can tell they were given time to rise. Each bagel is perfectly shaped. I know that seems silly but I've had a lot of wonky bagels in my life and it does make a difference in how the bagel rises and bakes. My favorites are the jalapeño cheddar, everything bagel and the blueberry bagel. They also make their cream cheese in house! Jalapeño cheddar with jalapeño cream cheese??? Yes please. Other favorites are the green onion cream cheese and the lox cream cheese (smoked salmon). The coffee is superb. You can definitely taste how fresh it is and it's a really nice change from the dark roasted Starbucks and Coffee Bean options. There are different coffees that change and you can do pour overs and cold brews here as well. Ethiopian coffees are always a favorite and this is one of the few places that carry it, roast it and do it well. I've worked at and consulted at a few specialty coffee shops and Bageloo's coffee is up there in quality. Service wise, all the cashiers I've interacted with have been on point, make sure to confirm your order and are friendly and helpful with questions. My only gripe is how long it takes for orders to come out. This is not a place for a "quick" grab and go unless you opt for their pastries (also very good and love that they have Korean twist donuts). I ordered a couple bagels with cream cheese and it took almost 10 minutes. I wasn't in a rush and I sat nearby people watching but it's just something to be aware of. I've ordered a salmon lox sandwich in the past and it took over 20 minutes. I normally order to go and wait by the line entrance for my order to come out but I always see people hanging out in and outside of the cafe as well. The atmosphere inside is very hip and reminds me of the cafes in Korea complete with a roasting machine and Japanese cold brew contraption. This is not a cheap bagel place and for good reason. Their quality is top notch and like I said, prepared by masters but every bite is worth it and I always wish I ordered another. read more

Service was alright, the staff there didn't really help me much when I had questions. The latte was quite watery and not that good. I'm a breakfast-all-day kind of person so I was craving a bagel in the afternoon for my first meal. I saw this place on my recommended list and it looked pretty good so I thought I'd give it a try. The cafe itself is good in regards to space. It's not a big café but it's not claustrophobic by any means. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted and asked if I could be helped and I asked for a few minutes to put my order together. When it actually came time to ordering the good customer service dropped off. I asked the cashier helping me what he suggested from the pour-over coffee selection or what he thought was good (Kenya, Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica) and he had zero clue what the difference was between the 5 options. The first time I asked him what he suggested he literally just repeated the five options out for what they had. I asked him if he knew the difference or if there was a most popular one and he said, "well that's what we have" and did not elaborate. You're a bagel/coffee shop dude, you ought to know. I also asked what kind of bagel bread types they have, as they are not listed on the menu and I felt the cashier was equally annoyed to be asked that question and kind of looked at me as if I was dumb. I didn't get a helpful vibe at all and he seemed bothered by me asking about the menu (newsflash, it's your job to know the menu). Not so hot service to start off my experience. As for the food, the presentation was good but the taste, mediocre. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on an Everything Bagel and it clearly lacked seasoning which is pretty ridiculous considering all you need to bring it together is salt and pepper. How can you mess that up?? I also ordered a mozzarella rice dessert and that was actually quite tasty. Sweet but not overpowering and a soft texture all around. The only redeeming quality of this place was the coffee and tea. I have to say, the barista did an excellent job of crafting a great cup of a spiced chai latte. A good aroma was present and every sip was rich and warm with the right amount of cream. I also ordered the pour-over Colombian coffee and having it black by itself was also above expectations. It was full-bodied and required no sugar or cream in order to prove itself as a quality cup. The drinks were strong and well balanced, which was a nice surprise after the lackluster food. This is a great place for coffee and desserts but if the name of your café is Bageloo and claim to be known for good bagels, you gotta be better than that. read more

The bagel selection isn't too much like other bagel shops. The bagels are nice and soft and I enjoyed the taste of the cream cheese. Ooo the best part of this bagel shop is its array of morning pastries they offer. The pastry chef does a great job. On the day I was there they had blueberries scones, cookies, muffins, individual-sized banana bread and pound cake, pain au raisin, cinnamon bun, apricot danish, chocolate strawberry almond croissant, almond croissant, chocolate croissant, and plain croissants. It is a curse, but also a blessing to know that Bageloo makes things super fresh and healthy for my family. We get half a dozen bagels every week, along side with the blueberry creme cheese, scallion creme cheese and strawberry creme cheese... also if I am really feellin it, i aint ashamed to also grab me some bagel chips on the way out ;) haha. If I am on a brunch date, we grab a table and order an avocado open face with smoked salmon. We also get their breakfast bagels with cheese, turkey and egg - also tasty. But im not gonna lie, i really miss their matcha tiramusu cake - that cake was FIRE. Can you hire the pastry chef back? Parking is easy to find since it is located in a plaza. Prices are fair for quality. The bagel sandwiches are a great breakfast choice if you're on the go. It can be a little messy but it's worth it in the end. I remember getting this before or in between classes. I find it better to support smaller businesses rather than Starbucks or corporations all the time. Better quality and more care in their product and service. The sausage egg and cheese was pretty great. The cheese was always gooey and would be bursting every bite. Messy, but better than getting an unmelted square of cheese at McDonalds. One thing I've never had before I tried it here was adding ketchup to the bagel sandwich. Might not be for everyone, I found it odd at first but got used to it. It adds a layer of brightness and sweetness to each bite. The sandwich is filling and will keep you happy until lunch time. Their flavored bagels with flavored cream cheeses were yummy as well. I liked the fruit ones like the strawberry or blueberry with the respective bagel flavor. The drinks I tried weren't that special but will do if you're in a pinch and want a drink. Service was okay! The staff had no sense of urgency and a ton of people kept asking about their orders and there was no acknowledgment that their customers have been waiting over 30+ minutes for simple bagels. The first time I cam here was around 1:30pm, so about 2 hours before closing, and all of their pastries had been sold out by then. I got their brioche French toast the first time with a lavender honey latte and a lox everything bagel to go. The French toast was massive, and took up the entire plate. It was deliciously fluffy and moist. My brother loved the bagel I got him. The second time I came was earlier, around 11am. I got their pastrami bagel sandwich, fruit tart, strawberry croissant, almond croissant, and the salted bun. Their bagels are surprisingly massive, and completely vegan. They have all variety of bagels from plain, everything, blueberry, cheese and jalapeños, poppy seed, sesame seed, and some I don't even know. All of their pastries are made in house, and they also have a variety of different cream cheese flavors for their bagels. The strawberry croissant was wonderful crispy and soft, with fresh strawberries and pastry cream in the middle. The staff here are some of the sweetest and nicest I've ever had the pleasure of chatting with. The shop's owner, who is like a cute and sweet uncle, still works in the cafe with his employees, and I saw him bring in a new load of bagel dough to be boiled and baked. Only downside being that I had originally came to this cafe to try their matcha tiramisu, buy the chef who had made that dessert no longer works here. We drive from chino because our go to Julie's cafe was closed for the day. Me and the kids were really excited to get some bagels. We have been here before and we're happy with our experiences. I ordered three bagels and one mango juice. I also let the girl at the cash register know that I wanted a water cup. I know some places charge for a water cup and I was honestly fine with that, but I really just wanted it so that I can split the mango juice for my kids. I wasn't given the water cup so I went up to ask for it. I believe the owner was the one I asked. He redirected me to his workers. Like it's just a water cup? He could have used that moment to interact with the people who are supporting his small business. He then proceeded to tell me he was going to charge me $.50. I let him know that I had already ordered the water cup. Then he proceeded to ask his employee if she charged me for it. All of this for a water cup. She then tells him no she did not so then he tells me it's a 50 Cent charge. I didn't argue I just paid for it. Honestly how ridiculous. I don't care about the charge but the whole interaction was so passive aggressive. Will be finding another bagel shop when our favorite Julie's is closed. read more
