Casual ambiance. Great food. We ordered a Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a bagel and a waffle. Both were delicious and you can taste the fresh ingredients. The Taylor ham was not as great as how you have it in the northeast but this place at least has the option as you don't find this type of ham easily. Workers were nice and food came out quick. Prices were reasonable.

Met up with a friend for brunch and decided on a long standing establishment Bagelmania. Seated promptly by a friendly waitress. A little older decor, but very clean. Immediately took our drink order and gave us a minute to order. I ordered a tuna sandwich on rye bread with lettuce tomato and onion. The tuna was made to perfection just enough mayo and the vegetables were super fresh. My friend order eggs, grits and a toasted bagel. The food came out within minutes. I mentioned it was my friends birthday and they sent over a cookie the size of my hand. Sorry forgot to take a photo. Also just baked. If you're in the Weston area and looking for a great deli stop in.

Cute little place that serves breakfast and lunch. Had both (two separate visits). Big portions. Yummy food. Friendly and efficient service. Used to come here 50 plus years ago when i visited my parents who lived in the area. Was curious to see if it would be as good now as it was then. It is. Highly recommend.

Tasty spot for bagels and overall breakfast. I ordered for delivery the morning before thanksgiving, as a little boost to finish up the work day. The order was ready pretty quickly and it still arrived nice and warm. I got an egg and cheese with turkey sausage on an everything bagel. The bagel itself was good and soft, and the egg and turkey sausage were good too. Overall, a great place for some bagels!

I took my sister and brother-in-law out for breakfast on a Wednesday morning before they headed from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando. We chose Bagelmania since it's nearby, and I hadn't been there in years. As expected, the service, food, and atmosphere were all outstanding. I decided to try the 3-egg Denver omelet with potatoes; my wife opted for scrambled eggs with grits; my sister enjoyed an egg, bacon, and sausage on a raisin bagel; and my brother-in-law had eggs with a couple of pancakes and an onion bagel. The food arrived hot and promptly, and we all managed to enjoy about half to two-thirds of our plates. We left feeling satisfied and happy--definitely earning a five-star rating for Bagelmania.

Excellent tasting tuna platter with large portions on a salt bagel. The server was professional and the food was out in under five minutes. The potato salad was extremely bland so my husband ate it. Love that they keep the checks simple on old school handwritten tickets.

I ordered a lox and reached cheese bagel from Bagelmania. Despite living many years in the area, I and never eaten here. I heard about it many times from people I know, so I decided to try them out. The young lady at the register was friendly enough. My order was very simple so it was a quick interaction. It took a bit to receive my to-go order. They were pretty busy. I brought my bagel home and it was tasty. The bagel was a little stale which was disappointing. I was there around 9:30 in the morning. It should still be fresh. Overall, it is a good bagel and lox and I will order from them again when I am in the area.

BAGELMANIA IS HERE... Great little neighborhood bagel shop across from Markham Park in an easy to access plaza with plenty of parking in addition to handicap spaces. As soon as I entered, I was in a breakfast paradise. Almost every table was occupied and the kitchen pass through window was rocking out food orders. The kitchen serves breakfast all day long. The Matzo Brei looked incredible for $9.99 and the Three Cheese Blintzes for $10.99. There were big wrapped meats in the front display case including some of the largest gourmet cookies and muffins (look at pic). Behind the front counter was the wall of bagels and the toasted raisin bagel with cream cheese for $3.99 was calling my name - I think it really was. So I ordered one togo and devoured it ten minutes later. The bagel was still warm and soft with a touch of sweetness from the raisins. They were not skimpy on the amount of cream cheese either. I had to navigate through a couple of waitresses at the food window to finally get to the bathroom, which was very clean.

My bagel was hard/stale so when I bit into it, everything slid out.

I am always on the hunt for the next best Lox bagel. Lox is my favorite and honestly, I always thought...how could a Lox go wrong. The salmon is already smoked, the capers are already brined and the tomatoes and onions only need to be sliced. Welp...over time and trying multiple different bagel shops, it has come to my attention that YES...it CAN go wrong and today was one of those times. I'll say that the staff was welcoming when I walked in. I placed my order...one Lox on a whole wheat everything bagel with a light smear, and all the normal fixins, toasted soft as well as a cinnamon raisin toasted soft with cream cheese. My order came out in about 5 minutes and I headed home super excited. It was already cut in half and was accompanied by a side of cole slaw and a pickle spear. Slaw was okay...sweet and crunchy. Pickle was too salty for me. Not my preferred type of pickle. But the bagel...one thing I cannot stand is when I order a bagel sandwich and the bagel is so hard and stale that your bite squishes all the insides causing everything to slide the sides. There is no way around that when the bagel is too hard. You know those bagels that are so hard that they stab the roof of your mouth? Yeah! Another thing...Lox should be thinly sliced. Lox is salty so adding the right amount is key. A few thin slices, along with the capers will make it salty enough. When the Lox are cut too roughly, unevenly and thickly, it makes it too salty. A light smear (my preference) thin slices of lox, evenly sliced onion and tomato, a few capers and a fresh bagel is what makes a great lox sandwich. I'd seen this place pop up several times and was curious to try them. Curiosity has been solved. I likely won't return unless it's for bakery items (muffins looked good). My daughter's cinnamon raisin bagel looked like a plain bagel. But we did find one raisin. She said it just tasted like a plain bagel though...but her bagel was softer than mine. She said it was okay but she doesn't believe it was a cinnamon raisin bagel.

Finally decided to write review for Bagelmania. We usually went to a different bagel shop but they closed so we decided to try Bagelmania. The bagels are pretty good, not as good as the ones I used to get in NYC. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an untoasted bagel with soft bacon. My sandwich was perfectly cooked to my liking. They also kept my coffee cup filled. The waitstaff is very attentive especially when it comes to keeping my coffee cup full. They also have no problem making us separate checks. The dining area is old but clean and well lit. The bathroom was also clean. Glad we found a new place to go to when our activities at the park across the road are rained or blown out.

Delicious food, friendly service, and cheap prices. You most likely will have to wait in line so be prepared, but it is worth the wait.

We stumbled upon Bagelmania a while back, and it's our go-to spot for breakfast and/or brunch! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a morning coffee or an afternoon bite. The bagels? Absolutely incredible--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just how a bagel should be. I tried the classic everything bagel with chives cream cheese, and it was hands down the best I've had in a long time. They also offer a variety of options, from flavored cream cheeses to fresh lox and delicious sandwich fillings. The staff is super friendly, and the service is always quick, even during the busy morning rush. The seasonal pumpkin pancake was out of this world & our daughter even finished her waffle which is a miracle, because she's always wasting food.

Adorable, old school breakfast diner with great breakfast & lunch choices. They also have a small bakery that sells cookies, muffins & of course bagels of all kinds of flavors. Their breakfast burritos are always a go to but I opted for their bagel sandwich this time around. I forgot to add cream cheese (a must) but was still happy with my breakfast. Love the hazelnut coffee they make & that they always bring you a to go cup with extra for while you're there or to take when you leave. Got ourselves a banana chocolate chip muffin & blueberry muffin on our way out. You seat yourself & they drop off the handwritten check on the table after your meal that you bring up to the countertop to pay for dennys style. Good amount of seating for how small the place is, weekdays aren't too bad but this place is definitely a hot spot for the locals on the weekends. Plaza has lots of parking.

MY 1000th REVIEW…read more.. As a Yelp review milestone, this morning I wanted to pick a mom & pop local food joint with at least 500 plus reviews and above a 4 star yelp rating. Well, I found one..."About Time Cafe" located on West Oakland Park Blvd. No outside patio but had a large seating area, cafeteria style, with four tables currently occupied with customers. This super bubbly waitress, Tabby, greeted me and told me I could sit anywhere in the gently outdated restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch comfort food. The menu items looked impressive with many interesting dishes ranging between $10 - $14. The "Eggs Your Way" for $10.49 was my choice with two eggs over medium, bacon, potatoes and whole wheat toast. My order was ready within ten minutes. Prepared my toast with a heavy coating of raspberry jelly. The eggs were cooked perfectly, loved the onions mixed with the potatoes, although the bacon could have been crisper, next time will order it well done. The bathroom was simple with no exciting decor and needed some minor attention, although, suited its purpose. Tabby alerted me to some deep discounted weekly food specials as follows: Taco Tuesday 1/2 priced Waffle Wednesday 1/2 priced Thirsty Thursday 1/2 off Mimosas Weekend Brunch Bogo Mimosas The food was fantastic and the customer service was commendable. Easy 4 star rating for this relaxed comfort food restaurant. I will return for an omelette and recommend this restaurant to other hungry foodies.

It's in a small strip mall off Oakland Park Boulevard, west of Hiatus. There is lots of parking; the place is plain but clean and houses a large dining room. Hubby had the big breakfast (3 eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and 1/2 order of French toast) and I got the full French toast. The ham was skimpy and paper thin and looked like a piece of lunch meat sliced in two. There were 2 thin strips of bacon and 1 sausage. The hash browns were good but probably about tablespoons worth. The French toast boasted a house made strawberry sauce. We didn't see any. And, when I asked the server, she told me to lift the bread. There was a faint, red smear, and she said that was the strawberry sauce. Nevertheless, the French toast was to my liking, soaked in batter and cooked properly. It was a bit after 12 on a Sunday (after church) and the place was relatively busy with 8-10 tables filled at a time and 2 servers. Plus, one young man was cleaning tables and assisting the servers. We were fascinated watching him clear tables with multiple trips carrying the dirty items in his two hands (no tray!). We even placed bets on how many trips it would take to clear a table of four. (I won, 6 trips.) While the food was good, the items didn't fulfill the promises listed on the menu. Service was congenial as the two servers rushed about trying to get everything done in a timely fashion. Prices were reasonable. Breakfast for two with tax (and free coffee from our coupon) was $28.

Ally's comfort Café has been a staple in Northwest Davie forever. *Now, Ally, moved away a little while ago and new owners took over. They kept the same recipes which made us hopeful that things would pretty much remain the same. But little by little all of the staff that had been there for years started leaving. I think there's only a couple of the longtime staff left. We'll get back to the staff in a moment. My wife and I go to Ally's every Saturday morning. We go there have a great breakfast and then go to the Publix next-door to do our weekly shopping. There's obviously going to be hiccups when new owners take over a restaurant. We totally understand this. But some things are just not improving. They open at 8 AM on Saturdays. But, between 8 and 9 AM there's only one waitress and one bus boy this didn't always used to be the case. They used to have the full staff and someone at the door to take names. He would also help out by getting you drinks or more coffee if you needed it. It worked really well for the small family restaurant. The new owners took over and at some point they decided they only needed limited staff between 8 and 9 AM on Saturdays. And of course, every Saturday my wife and I go in there. It gets packed and the waitress is running around like her head is cut off and the busboy is overwhelmed. This isn't a one time thing it has been constant since they made the staffing change. It's completely unfair to the waitress and busboy and it's also a complete turn off to patrons who have to wait sometimes up to 10 or 15 minutes just for the poor waitress to come and take their order this morning. A couple waited 20 minutes before their order was taken. Also, the owner/manager doesn't get there until almost 9 herself, which means there's no management in the restaurant to help with the register or put out "fires." It. Is. Not. Working. Ally's has been known for their specials for years. They always have amazing special pancakes and special French toast. It's one of the main reasons we still go there. It's our little weekly treat. Lately the specials have been very monotonous. Some sort of jelly put on some French toast or some sort of cream put on a pancake. Not real imaginative for instance, today was banana cream and chocolate pancakes. It was a dollop of banana cream on a chocolate pancake that had little taste. One could've added some fresh bananas, or maybe some whipped cream on top of that. Meanwhile, the special pancakes and special French toast are often made wrong by the staff. This happened this morning. It took them twice to get the pancakes right and three times to get the French toast, right. Again, this is not a one time occur occurrence. We never complain. But we were surprised to still see those items on the bill and not discounted at all, but that's OK. The thing that really drove me to write this review, is that I waited for more than 10 minutes to speak to the owner/manager on our way out. I thought the best way to handle our dissatisfaction would be to speak to her personally. She disappeared into the kitchen, and even after the waitress went to tell her we were waiting to speak with her, she was nowhere to be found. No I understand things come up in the kitchen, but she could've at least came out and said hey I know you're here, I'm dealing with a problem, I'll be right back. But we waited and waited and waited and nothing despite all of the above, that's what irked me the most. I will say this. The food is still very good. And the waitresses and buses are amazing. None of this is their fault. They should all be paid more in dealing with a kitchen that can't get right and an owner that can't seem to figure out good customer service. We will certainly give them another chance, it's part of our routine. But after biting my tongue, I had to let everyone know what was happening at one of our favorite spots in Broward County.

Special shoutout to Cousin Nene for the exceptional customer service and hospitality!

Visited Just Spoon's Cafe in Broward and ordered the Dwight flight. Came with curry shrimp & grits,…read morefried catfish & grits and stiffed salmon & grits. The stuffed salmon & grits had a really uncared for taste. We spoke with our server (Meme) who was great) she spoke with the front house manager (JOE) who stated, I understand but my hands are tied." The stuffed salmon bowl was UNTOUCHED!!!!!! Unfortunately they were not able to accommodate us with another option. That was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING..... I recommended to Joe that he should probably have his staff cook that dish for him so that he could be made aware of the taste...... In addition, the women's bathroom floor was not wet but dangerous oily/ slippery I also let JOE know this early on in our visit... VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER TODAY!!! IT WILL BE A WHILE BEFORE I COME BACK...... I left with a bad taste in my mouth and in my experience...
