Today however we saw an ugly side, that would probably make today's visit the last. 4 dishes and 3 cups of coffee totaling $66+tax=$70.62 so when we got the bill for $87 plus tip we questioned it. Apparently Bagelmania considers a party of 4 as large parties that automatically attracts a tip of 20%, then the way they present to you is discreet, if you are not paying attention you will think your bill is $87 and then they demand a additional tip of 18%,20%,22% on top of that making a $66 original bill into a $111 check. Casual ambiance. Great food. We ordered a Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a bagel and a waffle. Both were delicious and you can taste the fresh ingredients. Immediately took our drink order and gave us a minute to order. I ordered a tuna sandwich on rye bread with lettuce tomato and onion. The tuna was made to perfection just enough mayo and the vegetables were super fresh. My friend order eggs, grits and a toasted bagel. The food came out within minutes. I ordered a lox and reached cheese bagel from Bagelmania. Despite living many years in the area, I and never eaten here. I heard about it many times from people I know, so I decided to try them out. The young lady at the register was friendly enough. My order was very simple so it was a quick interaction. It took a bit to receive my to-go order. They were pretty busy. I brought my bagel home and it was tasty. The bagel was a little stale which was disappointing. I was there around 9:30 in the morning. It should still be fresh. I took my sister and brother-in-law out for breakfast on a Wednesday morning before they headed from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando. We chose Bagelmania since it's nearby, and I hadn't been there in years. As expected, the service, food, and atmosphere were all outstanding. I decided to try the 3-egg Denver omelet with potatoes; my wife opted for scrambled eggs with grits; my sister enjoyed an egg, bacon, and sausage on a raisin bagel; and my brother-in-law had eggs with a couple of pancakes and an onion bagel. The food arrived hot and promptly, and we all managed to enjoy about half to two-thirds of our plates. BAGELMANIA IS HERE... Great little neighborhood bagel shop across from Markham Park in an easy to access plaza with plenty of parking in addition to handicap spaces. As soon as I entered, I was in a breakfast paradise. Almost every table was occupied and the kitchen pass through window was rocking out food orders. The kitchen serves breakfast all day long. The Matzo Brei looked incredible for $9.99 and the Three Cheese Blintzes for $10.99. There were big wrapped meats in the front display case including some of the largest gourmet cookies and muffins (look at pic). Behind the front counter was the wall of bagels and the toasted raisin bagel with cream cheese for $3.99 was calling my name - I think it really was. So I ordered one togo and devoured it ten minutes later. The bagel was still warm and soft with a touch of sweetness from the raisins. They were not skimpy on the amount of cream cheese either. I am always on the hunt for the next best Lox bagel. Lox is my favorite and honestly, I always thought...how could a Lox go wrong. The salmon is already smoked, the capers are already brined and the tomatoes and onions only need to be sliced. Welp...over time and trying multiple different bagel shops, it has come to my attention that YES...it CAN go wrong and today was one of those times. I'll say that the staff was welcoming when I walked in. I placed my order...one Lox on a whole wheat everything bagel with a light smear, and all the normal fixins, toasted soft as well as a cinnamon raisin toasted soft with cream cheese. My order came out in about 5 minutes and I headed home super excited. It was already cut in half and was accompanied by a side of cole slaw and a pickle spear. Slaw was okay...sweet and crunchy. Pickle was too salty for me. Not my preferred type of pickle. But the bagel...one thing I cannot stand is when I order a bagel sandwich and the bagel is so hard and stale that your bite squishes all the insides causing everything to slide the sides. There is no way around that when the bagel is too hard. You know those bagels that are so hard that they stab the roof of your mouth? Yeah! Another thing...Lox should be thinly sliced. Lox is salty so adding the right amount is key. A few thin slices, along with the capers will make it salty enough. When the Lox are cut too roughly, unevenly and thickly, it makes it too salty. A light smear (my preference) thin slices of lox, evenly sliced onion and tomato, a few capers and a fresh bagel is what makes a great lox sandwich. I'd seen this place pop up several times and was curious to try them. Curiosity has been solved. I likely won't return unless it's for bakery items (muffins looked good). My daughter's cinnamon raisin bagel looked like a plain bagel. But we did find one raisin. She said it just tasted like a plain bagel though...but her bagel was softer than mine. She said it was okay but she doesn't believe it was a cinnamon raisin bagel. read more

This is a bagel restaurant in a strip shopping center on the south side of State Road 84 and just east of Weston Road. Although people say that the restaurant is located in the City Of Weston, it is actually located in the City of Sunrise. There are three servers and two bus people for the restaurant. The menu is pretty extensive with a special called the "Moe, Larry and Curly " (named after the Three Stooges. The Moe ($9.99) includes one egg, one slice of bacon or one sausage, a bagel with cream cheese or butter and one large pancake (the size of the plate. The Larry ($10.99) is two eggs, 2 sausage and 2 bacon (or 4 of the same type), and a bagel (or English Muffin or toast). And finally the Curly ($13.99) which includes everything on the Larry, plus two large pancakes which are the size of the plate they come on. Finally decided to write review for Bagelmania. We usually went to a different bagel shop but they closed so we decided to try Bagelmania. The bagels are pretty good, not as good as the ones I used to get in NYC. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an untoasted bagel with soft bacon. My sandwich was perfectly cooked to my liking. They also kept my coffee cup filled. The waitstaff is very attentive especially when it comes to keeping my coffee cup full. They also have no problem making us separate checks. The dining area is old but clean and well lit. The bathroom was also clean. Glad we found a new place to go to when our activities at the park across the road are rained or blown out. read more

Love the hazelnut coffee they make & that they always bring you a to go cup with extra for while you're there or to take when you leave. Got ourselves a banana chocolate chip muffin & blueberry muffin on our way out. Today was one of those few daddy-daughter days that many people enjoy as their children grow older. The best part of the restaurant was the impeccable service. My daughter loves bagels, If I go back to this place, it will be for the service alone, as there is nothing else around. I don't care about the food, but the waitress staff is awesome. Today's review is based on a 1 time experience and is only with regard to a customer service issue or policy. This review is in no way meant to discourage people from going to this establishment because all of my prior experiences have been within my expectations. I ordered a chicken sandwich that came with french fries. I asked the waitress if I could please substitute the french fries for home fries ( basically breakfast potatoes) The waitress advised that they could not, however, I could purchase the home fries as a side item. I agreed because I just did not want the French fries. When I got the bill I noticed the home fries cost was $6.99. I checked a menu before leaving and noticed that french fries as a side item ALSO costs $6.99. I found it disappointing that they would not accommodate my substitution request since both items cost the same on their side item options. To be fair, I am not nor have I ever been in the restaurant business. So perhaps there is something more to this from business perspective. read more

Very nice breakfast experience at this Sunrise location. I had a western omelette with side of crispy potatoes. I thought the portion sizes were outstanding for the price (around $12). My friend's turkey club equally generous portion. Food was fresh and hot. Service fast and friendly. Waitresses seem to be longtime employees. Bagelmania is one of those neighborhood bagel/deli type joints that you really only find in NY and South Florida. It's a little rough around the edges and trapped in the 80s, but you get what you want and it tastes good and it's affordable and you get out. Haven't been here in a long time, it's definitely a locals place, but really good for breakfast. It gets busy fast, for a hole-in-the wall in an empty shopping center (however, they just opened a Bravo supermarket next door). It a small like diner, there's barely any room to wait, it's smart to put your name down for you party and wait outside to be called. It can feel a little cramp, especially if you're sitting in a table in the middle aisle, but I didn't get hit. We were asking ourselves why they hadn't expanded yet.. or if they had the room to, but who knows. The breakfast options are limitless. I was surprised at what combinations they had. There are always specials, you just have to ask. There's also a white board with specials in the front window too. There are omelettes, something for meat lovers, waffles and pancakes, a challah french toast section, etc. They also a three stooges special which is cool for the person who wants a little bit of everything for a traditional breakfast. The boyfriend got the Country Fried Steak with scrambled eggs and home fries/potatoes, and the sausage gravy on the side. The combo of course comes with a choice or toast/bread/bagel - he got the everything bagel with cream cheese. (Side note: they also have bagel chips! Thin thin bagel sliced chips! I wished we tried it - sad face). The steak was crispy yet juicy and moist, it was so good. The sausage gravy was super flavorful and not too much on the black pepper, which can get overwhelming. They are super generous with the potatoes and eggs (hallelujah)! I got the Krispy Challah French Toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon was thick and crispy.. how do you do that? The eggs were plentiful (what two eggs should look like) and tasted better with their hot sauce. But the all-star krispy french toast, how do you get french toast to be crispy because there was a very pleasant crunch with every bite, even the goey middle too! It was all very delicious. I enjoyed that. We also ordered a side of grits, because it was what they are most known for, however, grits are not for us. I'm not too sure if it was the taste or the texture, but everyone party next to us ordered it and we wanted to try. Not for everyone.
