As someone who grew up in a heavily Jewish neighborhood in Chicago and who has had the best bagels in the go-to places in Chi and New York City, this place makes bagels that are, AT LEAST, equal to the best of I've ever had. I've been visiting Bagel Time for several years now and I've never had a bad bagel or sandwich from this place. I highly recommend the scallion bacon cream cheese. This place raises the bar on bagels. I can't enjoy Dunkin Donuts' bagels anymore because they aren't anywhere close to the deliciousness of a Bagel Time bagel. The only downside is that the bagels are small and I often find myself wanting another one. This place is a great take-out place and another hidden gem of the area. read more

Great bagels, sandwiches, etc. Big con that pervents me from being a more regular customer is that they are almost NEVER open when they say they are. I wish they would post the hours and stick to them, so I don't get cravings and show up to a darkened shop in the middle of what has been posted as their daily hours. I had gone to Bagel time about a year ago and swore I would not come back because service was horrible. Well I was in a jam and stopped in between meetings. Wow, what happened? This used to be the best bagel shop in central ma. I hadn't been for some time and was surprised to find the bagels are about 1/3 smaller and not nearly the quality that they were just a year or so ago. I bought a marble, sourdough, russian rye, indian harvest and a few others that were equally small, stale, hard and forgettable. I started going to this place about 20 years ago and the quality had been consistently good and the staff was friendly. Now they are all surly and ooze contempt for their customers. The bagels here are amazing and every worker is completely kind. I come here at least 1-3 times a week and never come out unsatisfied. Hands down, the best crispy & soft bagels I've ever had in my life and the cream cheese is freshly homemade. Not only are their bagels amazing, but so are their smoothies and fresh muffins! I've been going to Bagel Time since I was a kid. Their bagels have remained throughout the years just as delicious, if not more so. I love the atmosphere in the restaurant. It's small and comfortable and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. This is the best bagel place I have ever been to. It puts places like Panera and Dunkin to shame. Their cream cheese is the best, it's so light and tasty. Add that with one of their mouthwatering hot and fresh bagels and BAM you've got a little slice of heaven. My favorite bagels in the city. It's worth the drive across the city for these bagels. Try the salsa cream cheese. I had a turkey club with avocado on a pumpernickel bagel and it was great. I also love the green iced tea and the bagel chips they sell. Very friendly staff and they always play Adele which I love too! read more

What a treat! Fresh warm bagels with a smear of fresh veggie cream cheese in Worcester. Sweet and warm service. Clean and neat and the added bonus of lively college students bounding in from nearby colleges. I cheated though and had a rugelach. This place is a local gem. Family-run and unpretentious, the bagels here are fabulous and the cream cheeses are creative and flavorful. My go-to is lox cream cheese on a toasted asiago bagel, which is often still warm from the oven when I mosey in around 11 on weekends. They don't always have what you want in stock, so definitely spend your time in line picking out a second best choice. Everything I've had is delicious, so you can't really go wrong. I can't speak to anything else they serve because I love bagels too much to stray. The outdated cash register sometimes takes a little while but the ever-present line moves quickly and there is usually a table available within a few minutes of when I want it. Their smoothies are vibrant and full of fresh produce, and unfortunately take quite a while to make, often arriving after I've finished my bagel- but I still give Bagel Time five stars because their bagels are so crazy good, and are the only ones like this that I can find in the area. read more

I was excited to see an actual bagel place, but this was terribly disappointing. I've gone twice and both times the people serving me were incredibly rude and were shouting things back and forth to one another, which kept resulting in mix ups with orders. The first time I got a bagel and a chai tea. The bagel was okay, nothing special but satisfied my craving. The chai tea was completely undrinkable. It tasted like cheap powdered hot cocoa with some spice and didn't even seem to be fully dissolved. And for the price tag on it, I was expecting an actual brewed tea. The second time I went in was for an egg sandwich. I have never, ever been a bagel store where I watch them take pre-cooked packaged meat, slap a slice of American cheese on it, and add those little fake egg patties and cook it in a regular microwave. If I had wanted a fast food version, I would have crossed the street and gone to Dunkin Donuts, which honestly would have tasted 10x better. It was a total rip off and pretty much inedible. I definitely won't be returning. read more
