    Burnt bagel

Why someone would think this burnt to a crisp bagel was appropriate to give to someone. Didn't realize it was like this until we were 30 mins away. I got an egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. My bagel was edible but kind of gross.

Second time here and tried the Bee Sting - fried egg, bacon, sharp cheddar, scallion cream cheese, and hot honey. Taste bud paradise!! Also you can get Taylor Ham/Pork Roll. Try it on the egg everything bagel!! Great staff fast service! Thank you Bagel Dock!!

Shocked! I never expected to find a Bagel shop this good in Southport. I'm originally from the land of bagel and a schmear, and these are some of the best bagels I've ever tasted. Crispy outside and light and chewy inside. Perfection. The selection of fresh hot bagels is extensive and the homemade flavored cream cheeses make the perfect compliment. I look for any excuse to by a dozen with a tub of cream cheese.

Staff were very nice. Asiago bagel was fantastic. Added egg, sausage and cheese and it was well worth it.

Conveniently located in the center of Topsail Island, it was a 15-minute drive from our 2022 Airbnb stay. With next two stays at Saltwater Suites in 2025, the drive was less than 5 minutes. In the three stays, we had breakfast here six times. It had everything we wanted. My son and I are sticklers for routine. In the first four visits, we ordered the same thing: 2 scrambled eggs with toast & home fries for me, and pancakes for him. Orders were placed at the counter. Then we went upstairs to the dining area and waited for the orders to be served. There were no issues with the order, food or service during these visits. In both 2022 visits, I had coffee; in both 2025 visits, I had Mountain Dew. Refills are free for both coffee and soda. My order tasted better than a similar one I had at Tick Tock Diner in New York City. It was great value for money. I always felt that I ate enough to last me through lunch. There was no reason to try anything different. Unlike Tick Tock Diner, NY Corner Deli did not have any TVs in the dining area. I appreciated this as we go to the beach to get away from the world. Furthermore, there weren't many people in the dining area whenever we were here (before 9am). Can't speak for the dining experience at any other time of the day. Things were slightly different when we visited in 2026. Pancakes were not available, so son had french toasts in both visits. In the first visit, I ordered my usual; in the second visit, I tried something different and ordered western omelet (with toast & home fries). Don't let the photo fool you. The western omelet was bigger than it looked. "Hearty" is an understatement. It was so filling that I skipped lunch and had a light dinner. Mountain Dew was no longer available as the establishment defected to Coca-Cola, so I had Coke Classic both times. If you like a decent breakfast and a quiet atmosphere, New York Corner Deli is the place to be. It will continue to be our breakfast place whenever we are in the Topsail / Surf City area.

The walls are covered in black-and-white prints of the Brooklyn Bridge, sepia-toned yellow cabs, and metal street signs screaming Broadway and 5th Ave. The seating is divided into two thrillingly average, non-beachy options: Upstairs or Downstairs. Both levels feature the exact same standard-issue, wobbly metal diner chairs, with vinyl tables upstairs. The menu is an everything menu, nothing specific, no specialties, consider this a one stop shop for anytime of the day. It serves up a breakfast that is heavy, completely unpretentious, and designed to fill you to the brim. Like the rest of the menu, it doesn't aim for culinary innovation; it aims for maximum density and they are open when everyone else is closed. By the time you scrape the plate clean, you are utterly, heavily full and ready to take on the day. Cheers!

I first visited about five years ago and remembered it immediately when we were back in Myrtle Beach. This time confirmed it wasn't nostalgia talking. The food is still outstanding. The pierogi were top tier. Tender dough, well filled, and clearly handmade. The potato pancakes were crisp on the outside, soft inside, and exactly what they should be when done right. The Polish sampler plate is a ton of food and easily the best choice if you want to experience several traditional items in one visit. It's perfect for a first timer and more than enough for a solid lunch. The folks working there are incredibly friendly. Sometimes places like this can feel a little intimidating if English isn't the primary language, but everyone was welcoming and kind. I never felt like a stranger or like I was imposing. Just the opposite. This place feels like a neighborhood deli you'd stumble into somewhere up north, not something you expect tucked into Myrtle Beach. Great lunch spot. The Service was extremely fast as their App listed our pickup time but I arrived 15 minutes early and our subs were ready for pick-up which I found remarkable in the middle of the lunch rush. There restaurant was very clean, well decorated, and had a nice flow. However, the most unique part of my experience was their people. I did not know how to order a Genoa Salami and Provolone sub with lettuce, tomato, sweet peepers, and oil and vinegar for a particular Grandpa as Jersey Mike's APP offered me no options to do so that I could discern. However, the cashier explained to me to pick a #3, and then add in the comments section exactly what our Grandpa desired. Ok, easy enough. But Jersey Mike's did not stop there. One of the young, and very kind sandwich makers came from behind the counter while I was standing in line waiting for Grandpa's sub to be made, and offered to show me in their APP how to order the Salami and Provolone sub. I thanked her but was extremely happy they were all so willing to teach me how to have a better experience in using their App. In my opinion, service does not get better than that. Best of all it was our younger American generation showing me the way. It is always the little things like kindness, and going beyond what is normally expected in a job that makes a customer remember your restaurant. I will not forget Jersey Mike's in Southport, NC as they are truly interested in helping you have the best experience possible when interacting with their team of very helpful of young professionals.
