    Burnt bagel

Why someone would think this burnt to a crisp bagel was appropriate to give to someone. Didn't realize it was like this until we were 30 mins away. I got an egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. My bagel was edible but kind of gross.

Second time here and tried the Bee Sting - fried egg, bacon, sharp cheddar, scallion cream cheese, and hot honey. Taste bud paradise!! Also you can get Taylor Ham/Pork Roll. Try it on the egg everything bagel!! Great staff fast service! Thank you Bagel Dock!!

Shocked! I never expected to find a Bagel shop this good in Southport. I'm originally from the land of bagel and a schmear, and these are some of the best bagels I've ever tasted. Crispy outside and light and chewy inside. Perfection. The selection of fresh hot bagels is extensive and the homemade flavored cream cheeses make the perfect compliment. I look for any excuse to by a dozen with a tub of cream cheese.

Staff were very nice. Asiago bagel was fantastic. Added egg, sausage and cheese and it was well worth it.

Conveniently located in the center of Topsail Island, it was a 15-minute drive from our 2022 Airbnb stay. With our stay at Saltwater Suites in 2025, the drive was less than 5 minutes. With four mornings between the two stays, we dined in at NY Corner Deli four times. It had everything we wanted. My son and I are sticklers for routine. In every visit to NY Corner Deli, we ordered the same thing: 2 scrambled eggs with toast & potatoes for me, and pancakes for him. Orders were placed at the counter. Then we went upstairs to the dining area and waited for the orders to be served. There were no issues with the order, food or service in the four visits. In both 2022 visits, I had coffee; in both 2025 visits, I had Mountain Dew. Refills are free for both coffee and soda. My order tasted better than a similar one at Tick Tock Diner in NYC. It was great value for money. I always felt that I ate enough to last me through lunch. There was no reason to try anything different. Unlike Tick Tock Diner, NY Corner Deli did not have any TVs in the dining area. We go to the beach to get away from the world. TVs keeps us connected to the world and the negativity that comes with it. Furthermore, there weren't many people in the dining area whenever we were here. I had only seen up to two other tables that were occupied. If you like a decent breakfast and a quiet atmosphere, NY Corner Deli is the place to be. I'll be back the next time I'm in the Topsail / Surf City area.

I can totally understand on why but my visit today felt like it didn't match. Just everything felt weak; both quality and quantity. Service has always been a real hit or miss too. You either get okay service or they just don't care, whether on the phone or in person. It used to be a really great place to go to for food but now just feels below average. It's a place I can only really go to every once in a while because of prices. I wish it was a place I could frequent more often.

I first visited about five years ago and remembered it immediately when we were back in Myrtle Beach. This time confirmed it wasn't nostalgia talking. The food is still outstanding. The pierogi were top tier. Tender dough, well filled, and clearly handmade. The potato pancakes were crisp on the outside, soft inside, and exactly what they should be when done right. The Polish sampler plate is a ton of food and easily the best choice if you want to experience several traditional items in one visit. It's perfect for a first timer and more than enough for a solid lunch. The folks working there are incredibly friendly. Sometimes places like this can feel a little intimidating if English isn't the primary language, but everyone was welcoming and kind. I never felt like a stranger or like I was imposing. Just the opposite. This place feels like a neighborhood deli you'd stumble into somewhere up north, not something you expect tucked into Myrtle Beach. Great lunch spot. We came back after five years because we remembered it that well, and it didn't disappoint.

There are a few spaces in front of the door and more along the side of the building. We wound up parking in the rear across an alley in a grassy lot marked for parking. Turn to the right after you enter and go along the counter. There are two ordering stations depending on how busy they are. You will walk past their pastry cabinet so be prepared to increase your order. There is no designated waiting area after you place your order so try to find a place out of the way. There is a dedicated pick up window when they call your number. Pay attention to the numbers as they are called as the food is ready which is not necessarily in sequence. A better choice would be to call ahead as you will be able to pick up your order at the first part of the counter avoiding a lot of waiting. Seating is various tables. There is an outside seating area as well. Everything is pretty crowded together and if you are eating inside expect there will be other customers standing nearby waiting for their orders. We waited about 15 minutes for our order to be called. They have daily specials and the one when we were there was a bbq brisket sandwich with tater tots. There was a good amount of brisket on the sandwich. The meat was flavorful but not the best bbq I have had. The tots were cooked perfectly and piping hot. The roast beef melt was excellent with plenty of meat on an excellent bun. The bread was slightly crunchy outside and soft inside. Of course, standing by the pastry cabinet as we waited to order caused a white chocolate raspberry scone, a piece of baklava, a French toast muffin, and a pumpkin spice muffin to follow us home. All were excellent, with the French toast muffin and the white chocolate raspberry scone earning top praise. The staff was very friendly even though they were quite busy. Calabash Deli deserves to be on the list of top places to try when in the area.

The Service was extremely fast as their App listed our pickup time but I arrived 15 minutes early and our subs were ready for pick-up which I found remarkable in the middle of the lunch rush. There restaurant was very clean, well decorated, and had a nice flow. However, the most unique part of my experience was their people. I did not know how to order a Genoa Salami and Provolone sub with lettuce, tomato, sweet peepers, and oil and vinegar for a particular Grandpa as Jersey Mike's APP offered me no options to do so that I could discern. However, the cashier explained to me to pick a #3, and then add in the comments section exactly what our Grandpa desired. Ok, easy enough. But Jersey Mike's did not stop there. One of the young, and very kind sandwich makers came from behind the counter while I was standing in line waiting for Grandpa's sub to be made, and offered to show me in their APP how to order the Salami and Provolone sub. I thanked her but was extremely happy they were all so willing to teach me how to have a better experience in using their App. In my opinion, service does not get better than that. Best of all it was our younger American generation showing me the way. It is always the little things like kindness, and going beyond what is normally expected in a job that makes a customer remember your restaurant. I will not forget Jersey Mike's in Southport, NC as they are truly interested in helping you have the best experience possible when interacting with their team of very helpful of young professionals.
