The food here is amazing. I'm not an eggplant person but loved the eggplant and pepper appetizer. The breads, the chicken dish, the beans and especially the khachapuri were all amazing. They brought us dessert because of a delay with the chicken and it was an amazing Napoleon with delicious flaky dough and pastry cream, worth sharing. We couldn't finish it with three of us. Do not recommend the cocktails. They were not good, but everything else was so good and we had such a great night that we will forgive the delay and the drinks. read more

Unfortunately we were really unimpressed. We eat quite a bit of lamb at home, and thought the meat was drowning in too many spices in the chakapuli. The grilled lamb was well cooked but overpriced for what you get. The ubiquitous cheese bread seemed bland. The service was slow even though the restaurant was mostly empty and the waitress refused to give me a Georgian lemonade no matter how many times I insisted I was ok with it being carbonated. We though the food was okay but the service needed attention. The cheese laden bread is nothing special- think an open calzone. It's not much different. The lamb was fine but nothing that wowed us. There were no Georgian beers available, which was odd, but many wines from which to pick. Service, however, was weak. The entrees were served 5-10 minutes apart, which is an absolute no no, especially when your bill is in excess of $100 for two. We had no refilling of our water glasses, no stop by to see whether everything was ok, and virtually no interaction with the staff. Mind you, the place was empty for most of our time there. Friendly and helpful staff complement the delicious food here! The food is unique for the area, and is a great addition to the eclectic food scene of Mount Kisco. We enjoyed the chikhirtma, which was more than just chicken soup! It was rich and flavorful, and perfect for a chilly evening. You also cannot go wrong with the adjaruli, which was warm, buttery, and indulgent. For our entrees we enjoyed the tolma and the chakapuli, which are a must order if you enjoy lamb. Reviews completely oversold it. Service was terrible. The platter we ordered was 30$ and not worth the price. The worst part of it all was we ordered a mojito and a moscow mule and they were so syrupy we couldn't even drink it. No one came to ask or offer new drinks. Bill ended up being 84$ and we left 80% of the food and drinks. It's one thing to not be accustomed to foods it's another thing to have bad service. read more

This place is such a breath of fresh air! It seems to be a family run place with superior food, flavor and service!! We were so impressed. We have ordered home twice and eaten in today! Every food is presented so well and has a distinct flavor of its own. We loved the chicken kebabs, the goat stew, the lentils, kacchapuri both the lentil one and the one with cheese - all excellent! Oh and the khinkali (dumplings) are excellent too! The owners/family are so attentive to all their guests and always happy to suggest food even our 6 year old boys love the place! I was at the restaurant on Saturday. We had made a reservation but they didn't have it because we made it too late but we got seated. I'm first going to talk about the food it was wonderful. The waiter we had was the worst waiter I've had in a long time never came to ask us if we wanted a drink never really came back to the table to ask if everything was OK. We ordered dessert and I saw it on the bar for at least almost 15 minutes sitting there when I finally asked another waiter where our dessert is and he saw it on the bar and came out and gave it to us. I have to mention that the other waitstaff and I'm assuming the owner were wonderful they were attentive they were very nice but the waiter was horrible. He came back to the table and we said we wanna check so we waited another 10 minutes for him to get the check out I had to literally go up to the bar while he was cleaning glasses and I asked him for the check again. Looks like he left my table and just never never thought about it again. I will go back to the restaurant because it was really good food and it was a great experience eating that type of food and like I said the other staff members were wonderful. read more

I've returned a few more times (for takeout usually, because we're in a pandemic if you're living under a rock). Everything I've eaten from this place has been incredible in every way. The grilled meats are so flavorful, the megruli khachapuri is so rich and cheesy, the tolma (lamb stuffed grape leaves) are next level, and you honestly can't go wrong with any of the khinkali. Badageoni has quickly become my favorite restaurant. It's pricey but so worth it every time. read more

We had been here a few times. Went back last week for the first time since before the pandemic, and it was disappointing. Took quite a while to have our orders taken. Then we got our first courses quickly: Georgian salad and mixed pickled vegetables platter, both delicious. Then also very quickly the beef stew with walnuts (satsivi) came out. Clearly it just had to be dished out from a pot. Then it took a long, long time for our grilled lamb platters to be served. The lamb was horribly overcooked, like shoe leather. The restaurant was less than half full (even with socially distanced seating). Someone wasn't paying attention. read more

This restaurant has been on my list of places to try for sometime. Today was the day we decided to go. I have never had Georgian cuisine before so I didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Khachpuri Adjaruli. It is a boat shaped bread that is filled with melted cheese and an egg on top. It was absolutely delicious. Also had lamb kebabs served with a very bright and fresh salad of tomatoes and cucumbers. The kebabs were so flavorful and a touch spicy. Just delicious. Turns out I really like Georgian food. Looking forward to going back. We also tried a drink called Georgian lemonade. It was really more like a lemon soda. There were a few flavors. We had the pear, it was so good. If you are thinking about going to Badageoni ,don't wait. You don't know what you are missing. The atmosphere was simple and tasteful. The server was knowledgeable and patient with our menu questions. It was a great experience. Highly recommended. read more

We tried this new restaurant last night. The food is fabulous! Our lovely server explained every dish and also gave us a terrific recommendation for a Georgian wine. The portions are very generous so if you want to sample a lot of dishes, you will be bringing home your main course. We had the cheese bread-omg! Delicious! We also had some mini-dumplings, a vegetable plate of minced vegetable pates, sautéed vegetables, and 4 different main courses-a lamb dish, Cornish game hen in a garlic cream sauce, fried Cornish game hen with a walnut sauce, and a char grilled chicken dish. Everything was so flavorful with really interesting seasoning. We all had half or more of our main courses packed up to go, but of course we had to try dessert. The special cream pudding is a delicious panna cotta flavored with rum and garnished with a caramelized red wine sauce, and we also had yogurt with honeycomb-delicious and elegant! I am a snob when it comes to food. Very few restaurants would get a 5* from me. So far the food I had from here was excellent. I tried a few dishes and I was never disappointed. I wasn't sure what to expect, and everything blew me away!! We had three appetizers - the grape leaves, cheese bread and one of the dumpling dishes and they were all wonderful. Everyone at the table (all 4 of us) loved each one! Even the baby ate all 3! Our meals were equally as delicious. I was there for Sunday Dinner with the family, we had Khinkali, (Georgian dumplings), one of our Ex-President George Bush and my favorites, We had all the grill stuff, Beef kababs, rolls of lamb kababs with delicious spices,(Nigvziani Badrijani)!, but definitely the most delicious thing to try on a Sunday was the khachapuri, which is sort of a GEORGIAN PIZZA with all kinds of cheese, it was served just perfect with perfect melted cheese! Welcomed addition to a growing food scene in Mt. Kisco - and with some food diversity. Much appreciated. First off the service even in a somewhat full restaurant was very good and attentive. Food options are interesting. We ordered a lamb dish, the dumplings in a yogurt sauce and a soup. I though that the servings were a little lite in both quality and quantity. The lamb dish had small pieces of lamb and the dumplings were very fresh and homemade but the sauce could have used more flavor. I have eaten at similar places in Queens and part of the appeal is the style - many food options, salads and the like all on the table family style.... we will try again though read more
