BBQ tacos (one brisket and one pulled pork). So good that we forgot to take the pic before we started scarfing it down!

Great service and yummy bbq! Found this truck at The Point Park & Eats on Cinco de Mayo. The people working in the truck were friendly and laid back. Had a hard time choosing because everything on their menu sounded good. My boyfriend ordered the tacos (2 for $6.50) one brisket and one pulled pork. Topped with BBQ sauce, an avocado cream sauce, and slaw. Delicious! I LOVED the brisket. They pile on a good amount of meat for the price. Next time I want to try the "Loaded Tater" - a loaded baked potato.

This place is amazing. Great smoke flavor on all their meats and the loaded baked potato is no joke. Do yourself a favor and grab the Mac-n-Cheese.

Without a doubt some of the best bbq I've had. Taste a quality is definitely a priority here and it shows. Definitely recommended!

In case you are craving tacos, Tacos El Takin will satisfy your craving but I do not consider them as ones that will draw you back in. Especially since there are 2 other taco places, I noticed, within the same block. Food: i went with family and we ordered Asada mini tacos and Campechano (mixture of 3 meats) mini tacos. The tacos came out freshly made and hot with onions, cilantro, and a creamy green sauce (maybe their version of guacamole, not spicy). Other salsas were available at the entrance. They both had a good spice to them. The tacos were full of meat and I did enjoy that it was chopped into very small pieces. I did not see much fat in them either, which I appreciated. We also got their agua fresca- Jamaica. It was very good. Service; The service was fast, friendly, and the staff answered all questions regarding the menu. Ambiance: They played music, mostly salsa. It was not loud and allowed for us to speak normally. The location of the restaurant was a little hidden, I thought the GPS had taken me to a closed location. Once we made the corner, we saw the well lit restaurant. There is an ok amount of parking. The tables were not sticky and appeared to be clean.

Culinaria puts on some pretty stellar events that help raise funds for some great causes. This particular event highlights some great local food trucks that many San Antonians are fond of. Keep in mind you do have to pay for your food at the food trucks. But with the amount of free alcohol your drinking for ten bucks it's totally fine in my books to pay for my food! This year featured Lick, Duk Truck, Sirwacha, and many many more. It was pretty awesome how they even had Church's Chicken for those who aren't so adventurous. A particular hit amongst the kids from what I saw. Which leads me to my next fave thing about this event- it's kid and family friendly! As the adults are getting their wine-on, the kiddos are able to get their face painted, enjoy some photo booths, munch on popcorn and cotton candy, and even enjoy some carnival style games. Throw in some live music and you're set for the night. It's different every year with what exactly is featured at the event, but nonetheless you can expect a great time with everyone!

A kids zone was present as well with a rock wall, movie screen, video games, etc. My only complaint was that I felt the event a bit too crowded. Had they spaced out the trucks, stations a bit more, it would have made the whole thing that much more enjoyable. Also, the lines were redic long to get drinks/samplings. Next time more stations, and spacing it out for a better flow and they'll nail that 5-Star rating.

I have tried Chef Jason Dady at a Yelp event before and really enjoyed it. So when I heard he also owns a food truck called DUK Truck that sells Asian steamed buns, I am so there! I went to the restaurant week food truck event in downtown just to try the DUK Truck. I ordered the Asian steamed buns of course. It came with a salad too as a special. I have to tell you these buns are NO JOKE. The buns were super soft, the meat was melt in your mouth tender mixed with unexpected greens and other ingredients. It was heavenly! The salad was not your everyday salad. It was high class, very well made with goat cheese, pear, etc. I can't say enough good things about the DUK Truck. For the Asian steamed buns alone, it is a five star food truck hands down! I might have to start stalking them to satisfy my cravings. As I said, once you go Asian (steamed buns), you never miss an equation!

Last weekend, I ordered a chili dog, but they were missing Fritos (boo!), she told me and asked if I wanted a substition. I declined, and she said the next meal was on her. Sure enough, last weekend I visited them again with the intentions of buying my food, but she had remembered and gave me my order on the house without me asking at all. Now the food. I've got to say, the poutine fries and curds are awesome. The fries themselves are a little limp and not my favorite, but the cheese curds are spicy and to die for. Works well with the poutine. I wish you could order just the cheese curds with poutine and leave off the fries. They have a good variety of burgers and hot dogs including Bacon Mac 'n' Cheese, Guacamole, Mushroom Swiss, chili, Poblano, queso jalapeño burgers. I can't speak for those, but I have had the Frito and chili dog and the Cream Cheese Sriracha dogs, and both were pretty good as far as hot dogs go! Nothing to write home about, but decent! It's worth a shot at least.
