The BBQ sauce that comes with it has the perfect amount of spice, and the pinto beans have a nice smoky BBQ flavor that pairs really well with the meal. Today I decided to add a couple of extra sides and tried the creamed corn and the green beans. The creamed corn is probably one of the best I've ever had because it's super creamy, cheesy, and full of flavor. The green beans are cooked with pieces of bacon and are very well seasoned. This is subjective and varies from person to person. And you know what they say about opinions. "Bad to the Bone" a new bbq food truck in Southtown adds to that conversation with good flavors. It's basically a food truck that offers a simple menu of brisket, chicken, pork and sausage. From these you can choose a plate with one, two or three meats. With it comes your choice of two sides. For example they have a baked potato casserole and a macaroni filled with brisket. In addition they make bbq sandwiches but are in the process of fine tuning their menu. The prices are what you would expect from a food truck crafting bbq, well within range of what other places charge. I tried their three meats plate, a healthy portion I might add, which was really good. Some people prefer their brisket dry. However theirs was tender, smokey and juicy. Just the way I like mine. Not to be outdone the sausage and pulled pork choices were equally as good, rounding out the experience. I would remiss if I didn't include that they have outdoor seating, with accompanying bottles of bbq sauce on each table. While I really enjoyed all the items I felt the potato casserole could've benefited from a bit more seasoning. Either way "Bad to the Bone" delivered on all fronts. I like the (family)friendly vibe accentuated by country music. All the flavors are informed by people serious about barbecuing.
