The food was really good. The chicken sandwiches, wings & vegetarian chicken sandwiches are delicious. They're also open late.

Really good fried chicken sandwich. But not hot. Really at all. I got the hottest option but it just wasn't. Sadly.

Ordered take-out. Chicken sandwich was not bad but a little dry. Difficult to choose this over a chain restaurant.

We asked the host for an odd favor and not only did she honor it, but also followed up well after we were seated. Our server, Josh, was so knowledgeable on the menu items (both food and beverages) and gave the best recommendations. Our drinks were delicious and strong, and the food was reasonably priced and pretty tasty. We left stuffed and had to go boxes so you can say you get a bang for your buck. We did have an issue with one of our entrees, but it was quickly handled with care. All in all, zero complaints. Burtons is a solid choice for a casual restaurant.

I loved this restaurant. My bf and I ordered dinner the other night and if you frequent here you…read moreknow it's not cheap. I was expecting quality and got subpar. I reached out and was speaking to the back end and was told that they were sorry for the quality and quantity of food and that they would mail me a gift card. I am attaching a photo of receipt of how much we ordered. We ordered a chocolate cake, the photo online showed a massive slice of cake, ours looked as if someone cut half of it off where the cake is supposed to be pointed. $12 for half a cake. My bfs meal was supposed to come with two sides. He ordered mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The mashed potatoes were in with the steak and it was a small portion that looked like a small ice cream scoop, ribeye ($49.00). We did not get the Cole slaw. We ordered a house side salad. It was literally a huge chunk of iceberg lettuce thrown in a bowl with some of the sides. ($14.00) I ordered the steak frites (34.00) the fries were fine, my steak had these weird pieces (see photo) inside, that were veins or ligaments but def not edible and very chewy and gross. I chewed a few pieces and kept having to over chew and then would spit out the pieces because it was rubbery, after the second piece I noticed the texture and then spit it out, then saw whatever it was that was causing the texture and issue. Seeing that immediately made me lose my appetite. So I was left hungry and turned off by my meal and filled up on calamari and fries. I have ordered this before and it usually comes with a nice amount of slices. Mine came with four pieces of sliced steak. We ordered the calamari and had no complaints. The back end comes to my house and drops off a GC of $25.00! Which to me is an insult. For that they can keep their cheap cop out. I will not be back. We spent $134.00 and tipped $19.00 for a take out order. And all they could give us back for a terrible experience and quality of food was $25.00?! Their salad alone was $14. The cake is $12. So basically come back spend more money and we will cover one simple thing but several of your items were sub par and or gross. I would not recommend. This restaurant took a lot of money and did the bare minimum to fix the issue and threw a minimum amount to appease the customer. But didn't mind taking my hard earned money, which I will now spend elsewhere. I also will be mailing back the card. Whoever came to my condo to drop off the gift card came at midnight. Which to me is weird and an odd time to come to someone's house. I have it on security video.

I ordered the veggie burger, which has always been one of my favorite menu items, and it was every bit as delicious as I remembered. The ingredients were fresh, the meal was flavorful, and it reminded me why this has been one of my go-to restaurants over the years. What stood out most during this visit, though, was the exceptional customer service. My burger was initially served with cheese, and as someone who eats a plant-based diet, that wasn't what I had ordered. The staff immediately apologized, corrected the mistake, and remade my meal without hesitation. I was especially impressed that the manager personally came to our table to make sure everything had been resolved and to ensure I was satisfied with my meal. That level of attentiveness and genuine care speaks volumes about the restaurant's commitment to its guests. Rather than simply fixing the mistake, the team went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, valued, and well taken care of. Whether I'm meeting colleagues for business or enjoying a casual meal, Coastal Flats continues to be one of my favorite restaurants at the Rio Lakefront. Great food, outstanding hospitality, and a team that truly cares about the customer experience keep me coming back. Highlights: * Delicious veggie burger * Fresh, high-quality food * Outstanding customer service * Attentive and caring manager * Professional, kind, and accommodating staff * Great location for business meetings or casual dining * Consistently excellent experience

The dessert was good enough (flourless chocolate waffle), but next time that bread pudding will be the choice. Brian, our server was decent, but the rest of the young staff's inclination to check up behind each other was the real gem. Great job by a great crew in general. Love the location! A great space to leisurely walk off dinner if you have the time. Definitely would return.

Dear Management, I…read moream writing to share my family's experience during our Father's Day visit to your restaurant. Unfortunately, what should have been a special celebration turned into a very disappointing experience due to the service we received upon arrival. We had a reservation for 4:00 p.m. When we arrived, the gentleman at the host stand was not welcoming or friendly. He simply told us to "step to the side" and that someone would assist us in a few minutes. As the minutes passed, we continued to wait without any communication. During that time, a white family of five walked in without a reservation and was seated immediately. At that point, I approached the host stand to ask what had happened and why we had not been seated despite having a reservation. The host searched for our reservation, asked what time it was scheduled for, and then casually stated, "I think someone stole your table." I was shocked by this response. I asked how that could happen if he was responsible for managing the seating. He had no explanation and, more importantly, never offered an apology for the mistake or the inconvenience. A manager later came over and asked what had happened. After I explained the situation, he appeared genuinely surprised and concerned by what had occurred. Once we were finally seated, our server acknowledged the delay and kindly offered us an appetizer because of the long wait at the front. We appreciated that gesture, but it did not change how unwelcome we had been made to feel upon arrival. I am writing this letter not because I am looking for compensation or anything in return. My purpose is simply to ensure that no other family has a similar experience, especially on a day meant to celebrate loved ones. Every guest deserves to be treated with fairness, courtesy, and respect. A sincere apology from the host at the time of the incident would have gone a long way. I hope you will use this feedback as an opportunity to coach your front-of-house staff on the importance of customer service, communication, and accountability. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. Sincerely, Ms. Deas

Although I had been to the Rio before, it had been quite some time, so finding the restaurant was a bit difficult, but we eventually made it. We arrived shortly after noon, and the restaurant was quiet, with only one other table occupied. The hostess greeted us, showed us to our table, and started us off with water. Shortly after, our server, Mary, came by to take our food and drink orders. Since it was our first visit, we asked for recommendations, and everything she suggested was excellent. My usual Appletini was good, although it tasted more like vodka than apple. The jumbo lump crab dip, while a bit small in portion, was absolutely delicious and packed with crab and perfectly paired with the sesame baguette. Mary also recommended the shrimp and chicken tenders basket, which was another great choice. My only critique would be to cut the chicken tenders into smaller, bite-sized pieces, as they were quite large and, combined with the crunchy batter, a bit difficult to eat. However, the flavor was spot on. The menu is extensive, including a wide variety of drinks and oysters from different regions. Although I spent more than expected, I would consider visiting again in the future.

The first few wines weren't really my style, but once I tried the Gewürztraminer I was sold. It was slightly sweet, really aromatic, and had such a nice tropical flavor. I loved it so much that I bought a bottle to take home. Dinner was just as good. My friend asked if they could combine two menu items by pairing the crispy Parmesan-crusted chicken from Dana's Parmesan-Crusted Chicken with the lemon-caper angel hair pasta from Ellie's Chicken Piccata, and they were happy to do it. It looked amazing, and after trying a bite I can definitely say it's worth asking for. I ordered the Prime Churrasco Grilled Steak, and everything on the plate was delicious. The steak was cooked well, but the wasabi-buttered mashed potatoes were honestly my favorite part. They had just enough wasabi to give them a little kick without being overpowering. The broccolini and cilantro-lime aioli rounded everything out really nicely. The atmosphere was relaxing, the restaurant was beautiful, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. If you're going, I definitely recommend doing the wine tasting before dinner.
