DON'T GET WAFFLE FRIES I really thought I would like this place but I didn't. I got -family size waffle fries -12pc Cajun chicken tenders -"chicken sandwich meal" aka just a chicken sandwich (unless you pay extra money) (this may be an issue at DoorDash, not the business itself) I love waffle fries and fatty food, but this has to be an exception. These fries were really disgusting. I looked at them and I could see the grease/oil seeping through them. I tried to eat one and I could not taste the potato inside. All I could taste was the oil that it soaked into the potato. I tried to eat more, but it's really hard to. The chicken tenders had to be the high point of this meal. They did taste pretty good, but some of the batter was peeling off of them. They aren't exceptionally crispy or crunchy. (I'd say the business name is rather deceptive )But we're ok for the price. The chicken sandwich was not that bad (as far a the chicken & bun). It was a little small, but still worth it. The main issue is the chicken sandwich was that it was pictured having pickles in it and mine did not have any. I did not go Inperson so I have nothing to say as far as ambience. (To my understanding, it's inside of a gas station.) Update- 35 minutes after eating. My stomach now hurts. Changed 2 stars to 1 star read more

I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time, but there are a lot of specific negative reviews for this place which gave me pause. I can usually spot the overly angry complaints that are far off the mark or specifically trying to call out something specific, but the complaints here seem valid. They gave me pause until today. First off, this is in a gas station. That was strike 1 for me. I know people love Royal Farm's chicken, and i'm not a fan. So when i realized it was part of a gas station, i was apprehensive. Well, I was pleasantly surprised that this chicken was quite good. Is it the best. No, but its up there. When you combine the fact that a 3 piece meal with a side and biscuit is just 10 bucks, then value-wise, its way up there. I found the chicken to be fresh. There was a definite crunch that seems to be missing from a lot of fried chicken. The batter is not overly seasoned and you get the natural chicken taste. The main thing is that because its a gas station, there isn't anywhere for you to eat it fresh. I only ate it because i wanted to try it fresh, but when you have to take it home, or elsewhere to eat, time is of the essence as the quality will drop pretty quickly the longer you have to go. That loses a star for me, but otherwise, its a solid fried chicken if you live close by. read more

Ok so im a Yelp regular and always tryna keep ppl up to date with honest good or bad reviews. I dont sugar coat or beat behind the bush. Now, this spot is inside the Mobil gas station. The worse chicken, biscuit, fries i EVER had. It was my first & last time here. Chicken: skin dry af and tasted like it was cooked in old Diesel oil. No joke. Like we see on tiktok. Biscuit: see the pic, i grabbed a piece and it broke off weird. It tasted like it was OLD cake iceing. Fries: old and dry. So no i dont rec you get food from here. Main man tried to make it look good, he threw fresh chicken and fries and still was crap. read more

Okay donuts, but they lied about freshness. I often go specifically for the fresh baked donuts, and it's immensely disappointing when they have the light on but the donuts are all cold. read more

OK so...Thanks to Popeyes, I've been craving a fried chicken sandwich. Allllll the crispy, slapped on a bun and finished with some pickles. WELL, thanks to Uber Eats, I was able to! A quick search revealed that Krispy did indeed have my sandwich; along with waffle fries and myriad of other sides like mac&cheese, jambalaya, mashed potatoes, red beans&rice, honey biscuits, and Cajun fries. Basically everything you'd want for quick&easy comfort food. So I ordered the chicken sandwich meal (which was really just a sandwich, without the option to choose a drink). That's an error on Uber's part though, and there was the option for sides at an extra cost. If it says meal, I'm thinking that you at least get a drink and side with it...but whatever. Anywho. The sandwich arrives and it's reasonably sized and dressed with what appears to be a little mustard and some pickles. Awesome. It came with two packs of mayo, so I added some (along with mustard...mustonnaise?) and took a bite...wow. It's better than I thought it would be, considering that I was mentally comparing it to Popeyes the entire time. Could it be crispi...krispier? Sure. Could it be larger? Sure. Was it absolutely essential? Nahhhhhhh :) The only Krispy Krunchy that I heard of was attached to a gas station. Not sure if this one is, but they need some serious recognition because the sandwich and fries were delicious! read more

Krispy Krunchy Chicken - Beer - Chicken Wings Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

Most of the negative comments you will see are due to the customer service. To put it into context, this is an immigrant owned franchise. English is not their first language. They are mostly located in gas stations, car washes and convenience stores. When I walked into the Gaithersburg location, I was immediately hit with boisterous laughs from the center of the room, by about 8-9 construction workers telling jokes and waiting for their food. If you know anything about these guys, that's already a good sign, because they do not part with their hard earned money very easily. As far as the actual food they serve, the chicken is just amazing and it is well seasoned. They also have a KKC proprietary sauce which goes great with the chicken. Plus the blueberry biscuits I thought were way more tasty than KFC/Popeyes's by a mile. Furthermore the prices are much lower than KFC/Popeye's. My advice to everyone is, if you are looking for an culinary experience, don't go to a gas station. If you just want some great fried chicken then definitely go here. read more

First timer and had it delivered. Three stars for excellent crispiness, not tons of fried breading, meaty chicken breast and prompt delivery so the chicken was hot. Threw out the chicken because the meat tasted like it had a vinegar marinade. I've brined Turkey & chicken before but it never had a vinegary taste. Could not trust that the chicken was fresh & not spoiling. Too bad because I thought I had a winner chicken dinner when I took the first bite but it was downhill afterward. read more

Dear KFC & Popeyes, YOU'RE FIRED! Sincerely, New Krispy Krunchy Fan That being said, I don't know who came up with the idea of gas station fried chicken but, DAMN!!!, I don't know where to begin. I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time, however, I was sceptical because it was in fact fried chicken from a gas station. I finally got up the nerve to place an order through UBER EATS and I gotta tell ya, I was blown away. First of all, even though the driver had a stop to make that was about 15 minutes away from me, when he did arrive, the food was super hot which is a great sign. The fries were seasoned perfectly. The chicken, while not as Krunchy as I had hoped it would be, was still so FRESH, JUICY, FLAVORFUL and tasted like it was marinated in the most perfect blend of spices. BUT.... the absolute star of this inaugural order of mine, would have to go to (drumroll please) THE HONEY BUTTER BISCUITS!!!! Those biscuits are so good that Krispy Krunchy has single handedly ended the debate over who has the best biscuits (disagree? fight me). I never thought I'd say this but, even the scent of the napkins with the lingering food smell, brought me back to a time when fast food fried chicken was at it's best. Not because of competition between brands, but, because it was all about what people loved to do..... MAKE GREAT FRIED CHICKEN! Besides, Krispy Krunchy did seem to just literally appear overnight. But who cares? We finally have a place that cares about their products as much as they do about their customers. And in this day in age, that is saying a whole heck of alot. Maybe this is a sign of great things to come??? Maybe. BUT THOSE BISCUITS THO!!!!!!!!! read more

We stopped by based of the reviews and were surprised that the restaurant was located inside a gas station convenience store; however, don't let that stop you. Our order was cooked fresh while we waited. We ordered the 12 piece chicken tenders meal with six biscuits and fries. The food was delicious and the chicken tenders were crispy and juicy. We definitely plan to stop by again soon. Ken K read more

I've ordered from here two or three times... each time my food came fast, was hot & krispy and always delicious! They've never forgot an item. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, krispy outside and juicy on the inside. The honey butter biscuits are EVERYTHING, I always add extra to my order. You can tell they are home made. They're flaky, tender, sweet mmmm! Sides aren't bad I just prefer extra gravy on my beans. Sides weren't anything to write home about but get the job done. The fried shrimp meal is great too. My boyfriend likes the boneless wings and fries. Try them out, better food then similar chain restaurants. read more

Chicken was dry, lacked flavor, and the inside of the chicken was a bit slimy as well. They advertise the chicken tenders with cajun seasoning but if anything it's just salt. Along with that, the biscuit was undercooked. The fries were not much better than the chicken, under seasoned. Atleast the pricing is fairly decent. read more

Really good fried chicken! It's hot, well-seasoned, and super crunchy. I'm not usually a big fan of steak fries; they're either not crisp and soggy inside OR they're crispy and dry as sand inside). The fries here, though, are perfectly crisp and moist inside. Check this place out. read more

When the food is hot, it's AMAZING like the best chicken tenders your gonna find. And the blueberry biscuits at the best thing on the menu! But like I said, request everything fresh and hot or it won't hit the same. read more

We love their chicken and honey biscuits. The chicken is flavorful all the way through. You can even see the seasoning lol. Whenever we want something other than Popeyes we definitely go here. Don't let the location scare you off, Royal Farms is gas station chicken too. I definitely prefer this establishment over them. read more

I wasn't a fan of the fried fish it was all breading..but my family loved the chicken wings and the biscuits were a hit too. I had a large order everything was correct the first time read more

So I've ordered from them 4 times now. Omg!!! Delicious every time!!! Their chicken has always been fresh, like just came out ther fryer. The biscuits are yummy!!! This is my very first yelp review. Not going to lie I didn't have high hopes about this place but I was starving and didn't want breakfast food so I was happy to see this was open at 7am on Uber Eats. I got the chicken sandwich. It was perfect! It was simple yet very tasty. The bun was very nicely baked.(I'm a professional baker so I kinda know what I'm talking about(:) the fries were also so good! Again very surprised. I also ordered the 5 piece shrimp combo, which was very delicious and fried perfectly in my opinion. Let's talk about the biscuit. I LOVED IT. I thought I wouldn't but hot damn it was so yummy! The honey addition was something else. I will def be ordering from here the next time I'm craving lunch for breakfast! :) read more

Oh my. I came here. It's cheap cajun food( affordable for your pockets). I ordered chicken tenders along with waffle fries. It came with biscuit. The biscuit was very good and soft! It has a honey flavor to it. I didnt try the chicken sandwich so I cant say but I will get it next time. The owner is friendly. He told me to.come by again. I told him it was my 1st time. I substituted a star because its inside a exxon gas station so I missed the turn not thinking it would be inside. There are small seatings to play lotto but you can sit there and eat. I thought it will be in it's own building so it's hard to use the bathroom before and after. He allowed me to use the employees bathroom. He gave me an additional chicken tender ( no charge) because the meal usually come with 3 . I got original sauce and barbecue sauce with my tenders read more

Kept seeing this establishment on Uber Eats and finally decided to try it out. Just believe them when they say Krispy Krunchy. I had fried shrimp that had a crunch with every bite. Lol but it was good and I loved the honey butter biscuits they messed up by putting two in my bag I ended up eating both before anything else. Also a bit crisp but it was to my liking. read more

The best "fast food" fried chicken I've ever had. I used Uber Eats to order, got a 3 Pieces mix meal and a five piece shrimp. The chicken breading is seasoned well and doesn't hold the oil. The chicken was tender and moist. The shrimp were breaded the same and were just as good. They sent a hot sauce too which added a nice flavor to both the chicken and shrimp. I ordered the side of mashed potatoes and gravy, they were ok. Gravy portion was good. I can't wait to eat in next time. read more

The chicken was delicious I ordered from Uber Eats I also ordered 2 large red beans and rice but only received 1 order so I called KKC and they assured me that I can get it when I am ready! By the way the red beans and rice was delicious I just wish I had my 2nd large that I ordered! read more

The chicken is the absolute best. Fresh, moist, crispy but not greasy. I only wish they would allow more flexibility on the pieces or suite of pieces you can order. I like legs and wings, and don't see why I have to pay for an order that includes thighs and backs that I don't want. Give customers more choice. The shrimp was a huge disappointment, the batter apparently having been sweetened with honey (like the biscuit?) or sugar. Awful taste. Just didn't work for me. Too bad because the chicken (the leg) was an absolute 100. read more

Rude as HELL. Tried to order by phone. The guy could not figure out if I wanted my order as one or 2 boxes...... IT'S GOING TO THE SAME PLACE. He kept asking me about two boxes??? The chicken was like souful southern fried chicken. Perfectly seasoned. You will not regret your decision to give them a try.

The honey biscuits are the best thing here, the chicken and fish are very oily and lacking seasoning. The chicken tenders were good and spicy but I couldn't really enjoy it started not feeling well afterwards due to all the grease read more
