As a four-person group, we decided to take on Poe's Chambers. The theming of this room is immaculate! Just the door to the room evokes the early 19 hundreds. Poe's Chambers really makes you feel like you're in the creative poet's home. I loved the overall feel! My fiancé and I were able to get the group through some of the puzzles, just due to our vast experience with rooms. I believe even our first-timer friends were able to see how we were making the connections and able to get their brains going too! I felt like we all really handled the room well and that it was friendly to them. There is one puzzle in particular I think E.R.A. needs to update. If it doesn't sit just so, it's easy to miss the clue. Though, everything else in the room worked flawlessly. Our game master was very attentive when we asked for two clues, though it took us a bit to decode her hints. We got out with 7 minutes to spare. I can see why this room would be an 8/10 difficulty. It's a fairly linear room, which I prefer when it comes to games. I've done rooms that feel scattered and those frustrate me to no end, lol. I do think a group of beginners might struggle, just a bit, in this room. Truly though, great room! I hope we'll get to go back again! 8/10 recommend

My other friends tried the entrance near Pershing St. That, too, was closed. But three's a charm, so we got in at the Hartsfield Gate, which is kind of near S. Courthouse Road/2nd St. I'd call ahead and ask exactly which gate/entrance to take so you can avoid our pitfalls. Otherwise, my friends and I had a good time here. Like the others already mentioned, the prices for bowling and drinks are very reasonable. My Smirnoff ice was $3.50 and my friend's bf got a bucket full of about 7 small Millers for something in the range of $7. Alcoholic beverages aren't listed on the menu, so you just have to ask for them directly. They could probably expand their arcade games if they wanted to, their arcade game room is pretty small and not that well-ventilated. I liked their music selection -- all top40 stuff. Yes it can be quite pricey and it does feel weird getting pizza for a kids environment place, but it it worth it! I ordered the medium sized Canadian Bacon & Ham pizza stuffed crust. The timeliness of my order despite how busy it was in there was appropriate. If you're an adult but feel weirded out about getting pizza from Chuck E. Cheese, put the fear away and INDULGE!

I went with my niece and was genuinely surprised by how much fun we had! The games were interactive, challenging, and a total blast. We laughed a lot, got competitive, and I'm pretty sure people in the other rooms (or "boxes") could hear us having a great time. I'm really glad we gave it a try, and I'd definitely go back. If you have kids or are looking for a unique family outing, I'd say the passes are well worth it. One quick tip: Know exactly where you're going before you arrive. I didn't realize the location is on the outside of the mall, which wasn't a big issue for me, but it could be frustrating if you're tight on time. The confirmation emails do a solid job providing directions--if you're driving and parking. But if you're getting dropped off (like I was via Uber), the signage and location can be a little tricky to spot. A minor hiccup, but something to be aware of.

The pros: Such a convenient location! And lots of other things to do in the complex. Makes an unconventional date night or family hang out. The (pretty major) cons: - safety gear is not for all people. I'm Black and have locs. My husband also has natural hair. The helmets BARELY fit us. I actually had to go back to the car and take down my updo (remove dozens of bobby pins and twists) in order to kind of force the helmet onto my head. There were no refunds and we had already paid our pretty penny to participate. - the (very young) staff were discussing how they were working double shifts and were tired. There were not that many staff members there to begin with. - There was a teen group there breaking all kinds of safety rules. They were crossing areas without being buckled, jumping from obstacle to obstacle and using equipment the wrong way. Although the staff were telling them "get down" "don't do that", there was no actual attempt to get them down or keep them safe. - No one told me how to use the zip line. We got a pretty thorough explanation of the clipping system but not for this piece of the course. I buckled in correctly and got a great running start...only for my arm to get caught in the rope somehow and be ripped back to the ramp. When someone made their way to me, they said "oh no, you're tangled in the yellow rope. You have to make sure that part is all behind you!", which was my first time hearing of this. - After all this excitement, as I'm sobbing my way back to my car, I asked for ice. They checked their "kits" and they did lot have any! Someone had to go over to the other facility and bring some back to me ten minutes later as my arm is now swelling pretty badly. I attempted to contact the business several times but couldn't get a call back. We signed a pretty intense form in order to participate; even if I died, the company would not be responsible. The concern is less about the injury and more that there aren't systems and protocols in place to prevent this from happening again.
