Karaoke night with a live band playing along -- the band actually pulled people into the show instead of it being just a machine in the corner. Food was perfect. We had the beer-battered onion rings and the Bavarian pretzel. Both worth ordering. The only downside was how you order and close out. Everything is electronic / self-pour. I couldn't figure out the system and had to get staff to help me order and pay. They handled it with no attitude, but if you're not used to tap cards it can throw you. I liked that you could request music to be played but you did have to download an app and sign up for it. The music was also uncomfortably quiet. Like hard to hear even though it wasn't loud in there. After sitting down we immediately ordered the bacon cheese fries. I love the self serve because I got to try a few things, I also love that there were a lot of non beer options! I originally got a cocktail at the bar which the bartender made because I love watermelon schnapps and it was well priced. Next I tried the pineapple cider and it was delicious. Me and my sister also got some green tea shots from the wall which were delicious. We also tried the walls blue Hawaiian which was good but I'd prefer it over ice. After almost an hour of waiting for our food we got nervous it wasn't coming so I went and asked at the bar. As the girl was checking, they came out. We had to ask for the side of ranch that was supposed to come with them and I'd I'm glad I did because it was delicious, tasted like it was made in house. Now the fries were burnt and not good. At this point we'd waited so long and wanted to head over to the venue so we just ate them. Over all I would definitely go back for the drinks, maybe bring a game to play but I wouldn't come here for the food. Especially if there's a concert that night nearby.

On arrival at the restaurant at 11,30, we were informed that the garden did not open until 1200 noon but, if we wished, we could sit at the bar and have a drink until the garden tables were open. This sounded reasonable as we could choose our meals from the menu whilst having a drink, so we opted for this and moved to the bar. We waited for someone to serve us - and waited! Try to get there during happy hour deals for appetizers because it cuts the price substantially. Had the burger slider and avocado egg roll appetizers. The burgers were very good, and when I asked for some mayo to go with the burgers the server brought it promptly. They don't give you quite enough dipping sauce for the avocado rolls, so go ahead and ask for them to give you two containers of dip right from the start. The french fries were tasty but a little bit overdone. Also got the cheeseburger which was very tasty came on a nice brioche bun. Because we visit regularly, I wanted to share some constructive feedback about our recent experiences. While the food has often been very good, lately it seems that consistency has become an issue. During our most recent visit, I ordered the Chicken Alfredo. When it arrived, the sauce had an orange tint rather than the usual creamy Alfredo appearance. After taking a few bites, it tasted much more like macaroni and cheese than Alfredo. I mentioned this to our server, who was kind and professional, but he assured me that it was the Alfredo sauce and explained that the mac and cheese sauce is packaged separately. As someone who frequently orders both Alfredo and mac and cheese, I felt confident that what I received did not taste like a traditional Alfredo sauce. While this experience was disappointing, I want to emphasize that our server handled the situation courteously, and we still left a good tip because the service was not the issue. I am sharing this feedback because my family enjoys coming to BJ's and would like to see the food quality and consistency match the high standard of service that keeps us returning. I hope this feedback is helpful and that future visits will reflect the quality we have come to expect.

The Apple map directions here confused me a little due to this, but parking was really plentiful so that's a huge plus! I went on a Sunday morning and lo and behold there was a hole farmers market or pop up set up all through haymarket! Busy weekend for a brunch but haymarket is SUCH a cute little vibe and town with so many hidden gems, like this one!! Literally every single item I saw waiters bring out from the kitchen looked so scrumptious, every person around us immediately began digging in and enjoying their meals...and honestly, no crumbs were left behind pretty much every time. We started ordering a yummy cocktail. I was really in the mood for the Paloma with grapefruit juice but sadly they were out of grapefruit juice fortunately, they had plenty cocktails available that were not explicitly on the menu! I ended up having a delicious espresso martini, prepared, right and honestly, I would have had another!! Not too sweet. Not creamy. And with 3 beans. Impeccable no notes. I ordered the red House breakfast. Man those home potatoes were so delicious....they clearly cooked them seasoned deliciously and then flash fried, so crunchy!!!! Amazing. I found that their execution on their meals was really impressive. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly and paired so yummy with the toast. The bacon had delicious flavor too. I ordered a biscuit because I had heard that their biscuits were really yummy but unfortunately they did not have their bacon biscuit so it was just a classic biscuit. It was good, certainly dense and clearly homemade. My girlfriend got the poutine. Looked so delicious and was really enjoyed! The gravy was thick and flavorful! We sat down and enjoyed plenty of conversation and a really nice environment. Nobody rushed us, service was just the right amount of attentive without interrupting conversation constantly, and the floor to ceiling windows let in beautiful natural light and views of the town. It was the perfect brunch spot for a low-key, but delicious meal. Just a hair out of the way without being too far.
