Visited this past weekend for the first time and had an amazing time! We were nearby in the area at a winery when my friend mentioned this spot. When arriving around 6:30 PM it was bustling with live music. We were able to find a few chairs up front in front of the stage and eventually found enough chairs for our entire group. We had some beers, frozen drinks, and tried their seltzers. The frozen drink (margarita) was my favorite and the staff at the Ice Bar let me sample another one (killing me softly) before I ordered. The "killing me softly" was good but a little too sweet for me. I did try their signature drink, the Roxstar, but this was too sweet as well. The seltzers were pretty good as well and only $5 a can. They also had an ample amount of self-serve water stations to keep hydrated. The band we saw was great and kept the crowd entertained all night! People were dancing, singing a long, and overall just enjoying themselves. I liked that the music was a variety of music starting with some 80s and going to today's music. For food, we tried the La Gringa food truck and the avocado egg rolls were killer. They tasting just like cheesecake factory's. We also got chicken tenders and the chicken tasted so fresh. Definitely recommend. At the end of the night we stopped at the 2nd stop bus and got coffee and ice cream. Parking was easy and there were a lot of bathrooms but the one inside 2 silos did have a line at most times as there are only 2 stalls. We tried to go in between music sets to make it a little better. Overall, looking forward to my next visit here to try more of the food and enjoy with family! read more

If you haven't been to Farm Brew Live yet, do yourself a favor and make your way down to Manassas as soon as you can. There is something for everyone -- live music, outdoor and indoor dining, bbq to exquisite menu options, brewery, coffee shop, ice cream, empanadas and taco food trucks, a wedding facility, a whole playground for kids, fire pits and outdoor bocce and games. This campus is AMAZING! We make it a point to visit when The Occasions Band performs. It thunderstorms for a good 20 mins and the team was prepared - umbrellas spread throughout and plenty of space for patrons to take cover. When that sun came back out, we partied until the campus shut down. This venue gets 10 stars. read more

Deliciousness - 3/5 Awesome Enjoyability-ness - 4.5/5 This is the area just outside of the 2 Silos brewery. Basically, it is a concert venue. We went and saw an 80s cover band and the concert was free (or at least free of charge). The setup is great. It may be the best set up I've seen to accommodate huge crowds of people. They have an enormous parking lot. There are a few terraced levels carpeted by pleasant artificial turf. You can see the stage up close or from really far away. The place is also kid-friendly, even having cornhole and a small playground with stage views. Best of all, the noise isn't so loud that you can't have a nice conversation while the show is going on. They have food trucks, a three-sided outdoor bar, and various pop-up drink and food stations (or you can go in to 2 Silos). So it's pretty quick and easy to get some booze and food while maintaining your concert viewing. I had the BBQ (brisket and chicken) and it was... all right. Despite having about five different sauces available, none of them blew me away. The beers are pretty eclectic, so come prepared to try something unique. I also enjoyed that one of the food trucks served beer (both alcoholic and root) floats. And the mixed drinks came with some lights in them, which added a bit of fun. This is definitely a great place for anyone to go and have a good time. Seriously, I saw everything from large families to a couple decked out in a 3-piece suit and evening dress. So go and have some fun! The biggest issue is actually finding the entrance. Though you can see the venue off 234, you need to journey down a series of side streets to actually get there. Perhaps one of the coolest, laid-back, indoor and outdoor restaurants to eat at. From families, to date night, to business meetings, this place offers something for everyone. Sit at a fire pit and choose from a wide variety of food and drinks. (It even has a place for your dog to enjoy!) So much to take advantage you'll have to go back. My business colleague and I ordered an appetizer, dinner, beer and a cocktail. He had the pizza and commented how good it tasted. I did not have a slice so I'll go on his word. He got the buffalo chicken pizza. Good sized if you're very hungry, enough for two if you're not that hungry. I ordered the mahi tacos. They come 2 per order. For me it's enough to eat at dinner. Nice taste, good amount of mahi, with a smattering of lettuce and cilantro. The appetizer was spinach dip and chips. For the amount of chips they give you the spinach dip should be about twice the size. He ordered a craft beer. I got a Three Roses old fashion. A little pricey for the size of the cups they come in. Amateur hour. Arrived Saturday evening to enjoy some music and have a meal with my grandson. Was stopped at the gate by hostess and told we had to get on a wait list. I asked how long. She said approximately two and a half hours. We were put on a wait list and given a link to an app that told us we were 58th in the queue. While we waited for a few moments near the wait station, we watched people freely come and go with very little more than a cursory "Do you have a table" asked of them. Somebody could have told her they had a table on the moon and she would have let them through. Other people came up and said "Can I just go get a beer and then come right back out?" Again..no problem, they were let through. We decided to walk a little bit and walk around to the side where the sushi restaurant was, and we were able to see into "The Yard", where we saw and counted 13 empty tables. I watched for 15 minutes as no one was seated at any of those tables during that time. Went back to the wait station and just stood back and just watched people freely come and go with no action of any kind by the staff at the at the wait station. After another 15 minutes or so I decided I'd had enough, said "Screw it" and walked through and sat at one of the STILL empty tables. The band started up (great music!), And at 7:03 I got a text message saying that that my table was finally ready. I thought about not going up for a few seconds, and then headed up to the wait station. Just as I got to the station, I received another text message saying that they couldn't find me and my spot in line was canceled.....in less than 2 minutes. I was told that it was too bad and that's the way the system worked. My understanding then is then that if you're told you have a two and a half hour wait for a table, you're supposed to stand within a minute of the wait station for two and a half hours and if you're not within a minute or two close by when your name is called, you're screwed. I find that to be unbelievably absurd. You have a campus that invites people to walk around and look and explore. If they're on the other side over where the Mexican food truck is or the ice cream bus and they get their page there's no way on Earth they're going to make it back to the hostess in time to get their table. That's nuts. I went back to my grandson at the table that I had chosen, and was approached shortly after by a manager in a blue shirt who asked me if there was a problem. I explained everything that I've just written above. He asked if we knew about ordering food or anything like that and I told him the whole experience at soured me on eating and our appetites were gone. So why were people not being seated at these tables? Short staffing? Let people know. Covid? I doubt it, as I saw the only people wearing masks there were the employees, no one else there was wearing a mask there was no distancing and apparently no concern about Covid whatsoever. You've got a nice facility there, I'm not the only one that feels this way.... I spoke to other people who were angrier than me at the way things are run. The setup leaves people coming and going as they please a wide open option. You might want to consider wristbands or hand stamps or something, but if you're unable to handle crowds to a respectable degree you might want to reconsider the way that you operate. read more

The Villagio Group hosts this amazing campus of adult fun! The campus hosts 2 Silos Brewery, Peterson's Ice Cream truck(boozie ice cream), BBQ, pub food, live bands, cocktail kiosks, lots of party seating areas, and so much more! Our party bus got there in the afternoon and the bus dropped us off right at the entrance. There's no entrance fee. It happened to be Octoberfest so staff was fully dressed in theme clothing. Many of our friends had been here before but it was our first time. The main draw is the brewery. The most convenient thing is opening a tab and having the ability to pickup drinks at any kiosk since their technology links all kiosk together! Win win for all. Our group ordered pizzas and giant pretzels. The food was amazing. It was the best pizza I had ever eaten. The beer and cider were all good. TIP: most experts would order 2 beers at the same time so you don't have to fall in line again. There's plenty of seating. If you have a large group like we did then you can snag large areas. It was a busy Saturday but we had several areas to ourselves. The staff does a great job cleaning up after all the party people. Restrooms are very clean, no outsides exist here, it's all modern! A great place to come to to have a bite or beer and listen to some live music! It is a very unique place compared to anywhere else in the area. Even though this place is most popular in the summer time it is still lively during the winter time too. They have heat lamps outside and these globe tents that you can rent. They are around $100 I believe but could be worth it if you want your own private space and are coming out for someone's birthday for instance. They have great food! I love their bbq and they often have food trucks there so there is quite a variety! Farm Brew live even will be provide this space for a venue location. Came here for the first time, and had mixed feelings about my experience. Although I liked the layout, it felt like something was still missing. Brewery was spacious with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Outdoor seating has heaters for cold weather as well as a nice cozy fireplace to warm up with. Even when busy, service seems pretty fast and efficient. Bar food style menu, and the food is a tad pricey - I had the pulled pork sandwich and a side which were decent. Beers are OK, but get the job done lol. For being a brewery I would think that there should be a bigger variety of beers, but maybe in time. I enjoyed myself over and will be coming back when the weather warms back up. read more

This place is amazing. I call it an amusement park for adults. As long as you like alcohol. More specifically, beer. This place is huge. Lots of places to open a tab and buy beer. The same beer can be bought at any of the counters. I did a flight of 6 beers and honestly cannot complain about any of the beers. They were all smooth, refreshing, with good flavors. The food was great also. We got the wings, pretzel, and trio of dips, each appetizer were better than the same food you would get at most places. We also enjoyed the "help yourself water kegs" located throughout. And the music was fun and appropriate as well. This place isn't perfect though. We ordered BBQ as a main course. Got the 3 meat. With had pork, chicken, and brisket. The brisket was the worst brisket I've had in a long time. EXTREMELY dry and without flavor. I would NOT get the BBQ again. Great place for beer and good BBQ! Try the beef brisket, you won't regret it. This place is great for birthdays, for dates, or a general place to meet up with friends. It's a massive venue, which often has live music. Go early before 3pm to snag a spot in the shade. I didn't try any of the beer here, but all of my friends thought it was great. However, I did have the delicious 1/2 lb beef brisket. This was cooked to perfection, not too dry and with high quality meat. Plus, they had an assortment of bbq sauces to compliment it. Although, there prices are a little on the high side. It was $10 for the brisket, and another $4 for (okay) Mac-n-cheese, so a bit pricey at $14 for a full meal. Really cool spot in a newer developed area. There is still construction going on at and around Farm Brew Love but it is already a very lit together, very cool venue. There are many places to find a seat. You can order food and drinks on an open tab that works throughout the FBL campus. Farm Brew Live itself is a great concept & fun place to hang out. We need a couple more of this type of easy-access venue with plentiful free parking in neighboring counties! Now, onto the food where you should plan spending a lot of your hard-earned money. None of the eateries there are good values, so set your expectations. I'd liken it to amusement park cost & average chain restaurant quality. 2 Silos: Everyone seemed to be having a good time & the food prices were likely the most reasonable. The food itself was nothing special, didn't really taste, look, or smell completely farm fresh, but it was ok to curb hunger for a short time. We ordered pizza, tots, salad, & chili. Nothing special, small portions, kinda salty, and, with the exception of the tiny $12 salad, tasted & looked like it was all premade food that was heat 'n serve. 2nd Stop Ice Cream & Coffee Bar: EXPENSIVE. I paid top dollar for a boozy shake with espresso. Keep in mind a 20 oz cup is the size of a large coffee at your average coffee joint. So, in my $15.00 20-oz. cup, I received something that tasted like a decent mocha java shake with a pathetic teensy dollop of spray can whipped cream...not even house made thick & creamy whipped cream & my cup was filled about an inch short of the rim of the cup. What I didn't get in my basically $15 large coffee was the alcohol I was willing to pay $15 for. None. Zippo. Zilch. Biiiiiig goose egg!!! No Kahlua. No frangelico. The delightful young lady who took my order was wonderfully helpful & polite. Her ice cream concoction-making friend not so much. She had to explain my order to him twice which was only to add 2 espresso shots to their established shake recipe. That's it. No other alteration. We kept sipping the shake thinking that maybe the alcohol was at the bottom of the shake, but nada. Big waste of money & not even any eye contact or a polite "thanks" or "Enjoy your shake" from the maker of this fraudulent boozy shake. What I say to this... they're not getting any more of my money any time soon & you might want to rethink giving them any of yours unless consistent quality is achieved. There was no situational reason not to have added the key ingredients. No one else was in line or placing orders. I was the only one there at the time and all throughout awaiting my one shake. I'd hate to think he knowingly & voluntarily omitted the booze, so make sure you check your drinks BEFORE you walk clear to the other side of Farm Brew Live & watch them being made if you can. Last night was our second time here. The first visit was in the winter time so it was cold and we only hung out inside 2 Silos Brewery (which was nice and the beer was pretty good!). Last night, the weather was beautiful and it was PACKED inside and outside! They have lots of tables and chairs spread around (all were taken when we arrived). They had live music on their outside stage - a local band playing covers and a KISS tribute band. It was SO much fun! They have multiple full service bars located at various stations thoroughly the facility as well as food trucks. 2 Silos Brewery (right next to the outside stage) also serves food. The lines were fairly long for all, but they really did a good job to get everyone served quickly and the lines went pretty fast. The bathrooms are scarce so expect long, slow lines there but that's pretty typical of any venue that holds that many people. We had a good time and we're looking forward to going again! read more

Have followed this place since way before it was built and didn't feel it was right that PWC was making concessions to help the Villagio folks build this, yet was giving Chris Peramund a hard time opening his winery (Effingham), so I never had a desire to stop in here... and finally, after a nearly a year and a half (or so) I stopped in for a reunion event and have to say we were very impressed with what the Villagio folks did here... It's very nicely laid out, with areas to separate the HUGE crowds. They have several areas where you can buy food and drink and the staff we encountered were all very friendly! Great beer. Okay bbq, good pizza. The hot dog stand is miserable. After ordering a coney dog- which it was truly just a chili dog, the hot dogs are steamed in plastic baggies and were green. Not worth the argument, just threw it away. Still like this place a lot. I have been wanting to come here since they opened last year but never got around to it until now. I went with a friend today to try out some of their appetizers and beer. I must say I was extremely unimpressed. I had their 2 Silos Chili & Beer Nachos and it was flavorless and disgusting! When you first look at the nachos they do look appetizing but after taking one bite I wanted to spit it out. The chips tasted like they came out of a Tostitos bag and the chili tasted like it came from a can. Lets not even talk about the cheese please. I also tried their NOVA White Belgian beer and that was also disgusting. It left a terrible after taste and I do NOT recommend it. I would also like to mention that some of their menu items are overpriced. I wanted to order some wings however you only get 8 wings for around $13. Not to mention that they didn't even have a choice of buffalo sauce for the wings! What type of nonsense is this?! I'm giving this place two stars because the staff were somewhat friendly and the atmosphere was ok. Nice Place to Hang Out Farm Brew LIVE and 2 Silos Brewing Co are part of a great American hangout place. It's a bar/restaurant/venue. A lot of the campus is outdoors, and when it's warm enough you can spread out. In the winter they have heaters, and if it's not too cold, then it's nice. They also have these igloos that you can rent. In the summer time, it's an awesome laid back place. Admittance to the campus is free. There is no cover charge except for special events like NYE. Plenty of parking. The campus has several different food options including a nice kitchen where they serve pizza, nachos, wings, you know, the typical hangout finger foods. They have a food truck that serves more fried foods if you don't get enough grease from the kitchen, and they also have an ice cream truck to complete the blocking of your arteries. They have live music all week basically, and on the weekends they'll have several performers during a day. And it's a variety of white people music from acoustic folk to cuuuuntry and some rock. Last night they had an awful 90s cover band, but it was live music, and it wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Then there's the beer. They have a brewery on site. I tried session IPA, and it was very, very good. My blood used to be IPA, but I thought I had lost my taste for it, but that IPA was very, very good. I already said that; didn't I? The clientele is what you would expect at the Republican National Convention, 99% white people with a few token black guys in there. We had some chuckles counting all the guys wearing baseball caps. That's a fashion trend that won't die. The price of the beer is consistent with local microbreweries, i.e. it's expensive, but for me it's worth it. If you prefer Bud or Coors Light or the mass produced sewage, then you won't be happy. The food is also outrageously priced. A pretzel runs about ten bucks, and they charge you extra if you want a tiny thimble of cheese to dip it in. But it pays the rent, and there's no cover charge. Love the concept! I wish we had places like this closer to DC. There were a lot of people and some of them like to hold onto chairs as "someone is using it" but then you see it empty for hours. Aside from the chair hogs, it's a fun spot especially on a nice day! There is music playing and some of it is live! There are indoor and outdoor seatings as well as really friendly staff. We had drinks and food here. No complaints other than wishing there were more table seating as it took us a while to collect enough seats for our group who were all present. I think it'd be fun to come back sometime. Probably not on a sweltering day in case we can't find indoor seating. There are lots of spots outside if you bring a blanket to hang out on. Also, there seemed to be a perpetually long line for the women's bathroom. Good thing I have the bladder of a camel. :) read more

Farmbrew Live is awesome! There are so many places to eat and drink here. There is also live music, which is a major perk. There are definitely a lot of pros to coming here. As I said there are plenty of options for food and drinks. They have a pizza area, BBQ, and food trucks. That is a big deal if you're someone who frequents other breweries in the area such as Old Bust Head, where food is only provided by food trucks. There is also quite a few places to get beer. They have wine, spiked hot chocolate and cider, as well as beverages from those who are not drinking. The live music is also excellent, these don't sound like amateur bands. There is a lot of parking as well which makes it easy to find a place. There are also some cons though, for example the restroom situation is atrocious and feels like a moron designed it. Two stalls in one woman's bathroom for like 300 people. And then they also have trailer bathrooms. So I feel like this could have been thought out far better. Also, seeing as this place is new it is swarmed with people, so the lines are outrageously long. It took me almost an hour to get pizza. All in all, I understand this place is new and there are some kinks to work out but they did an awesome job on this place. This is an incredible spot and definitely worth a visit. read more

A renovated barn in Manassas is the Farm Brew Live. Craft beer, music and food. Just opened and was hard to find but a LOT of people figured out the way in. I could see the barn, see the signs but where was the way in? Once in there was a huge parking lot, mostly filled. I drove to the front, found an empty space and pulled in. I could hear and see the band on stage. They had three food venues. There was a catering truck serving El Salvadore food. I spotted several things that looked good on their small menu but in spite of the horde there, a line at the food truck didn't exist. Then, in an open building was a group selling BBQed sandwiches. Beer can pulled chicken was one sandwich, pulled pork was another and a third one I don't remember. Then there was a large building that sold a good variety of salads and snack foods. I wanted to buy a salad but there was too long a line. I'll have to return when the opening crowd fades away. It's like nothing you've ever see before or anywhere you've ever been. Let me break it down for you real quick.... If your feeling a tad refined and your belly is begging for a nice glass of wine, fresh made to order sushi or bacon on a clothes line like mine was last night, "Black sheep" is where you want to be. But if you're with the homies and you feel like tapping your feet to some bomb live music, while eating empanadas and drinking beer and watching the sunset... "The yard" is where it's at. Awesome spot. My girl and I have come here 2 times already this summer. Came for Aerosmith cover night and came back two weeks later and brought some friends with us. They have done a great job building this into one of the most entertaining breweries i have seen. Beer is solid. The Mosaic Goat is their best beer by far in my opinion. The others are solid but nothing to write home about. Food was very good for a brewery typically the food sometimes slacks but it is good at FarmBrew. What an overpriced and pompous experience. Of all the breweries I have been to this is my least favorite. Not because the beer is bad but because for what it represents.....everything g that is bad about breweries. This is not a brewery......it is a factory production facility marked by lots of space and ridiculously expensive beer. The staff is snobby millenials that don't give a crap and look down their nose at customers when they ask a question. This is my first and last time here.....and I live 20 minutes away. NOT DOG FRIENDLY. Website says they are. Upon arrival we were told it's a "case by case" basis. We drove over 30 minutes only to be told our dog (Frenchie puppy) was not welcome. Not impressed AT ALL. Not worth the hype or the trip. read more
