We sat down and ordered the chips and small guac. The chips were really good and crispy. The small guac was also a great size vs how guac at some other restaurants are more filler than guac. The chorizo taco was pretty good and my boyfriend loved the Baja fish taco so much he said it was one of the best fish tacos he's had. He also recommended it to our friends who joined us and they also loved the taco. We did order a few drinks, but they were just okay. Nothing to write home about. The coconut marg was probably my favorite. I definitely plan to come back next time I'm on the vineyard.

They have a small but comprehensive menu of burritos or bowls with 4-5 base proteins ($5 for vegan up to like $8 for beef) plus a ton of for-cost toppings, so you can customize your meal exactly to your liking (and to your price range). My chicken bowl was flavorful and filling, and thought that among the variety of toppings I chose (roasted red pepper, cheese, etc), I should have skipped the watery salsa- pico would have been a better option for me- but would double down on the delicious lemon sauce. Overall, La Choza hit the spot for a cheap and tasty lunch, especially for the area.

The servers were genuinely kind and welcoming, which we appreciated. That said, the visit didn't quite live up to our memories. Service was pretty slow -- we had to ask a few times for drink refills -- and we were surprised the restaurant wasn't busier given it's peak season. The food was just average -- nothing stood out, and it wasn't what we remembered. We wanted to love it like we used to, and the staff clearly cares. Hoping this was just an off day, because we have a lot of good memories here.
