The noise level was high, so I popped in my AirPods - noise solved :) Joaquin, our server was at our table with menus within minutes. He took our drink order and when he came back with them, we placed our lunch order. Joaquin dropped off Chips and Salsa a few minutes later. The Salsa was warm, was tasty and had a slight kick to it. The chips were thin and crispy. This was a nice starter that was included with the meal. For our meal, we shared: - Combination Enchiladas with Rice and Beans We selected 1 each Chicken and Beef enchilada. We also chose Charro Beans and subbed a second Charro Beans in place of Rice. I'd guess it took only 10 minutes for the meal to be served. It was served hot and the plate was very warm. We enjoyed the food and it was the perfect amount for us. Oh, we'd asked Joaquin to fill our water bottles with ice and water and he cheerfully did so. We enjoyed our lunch and our experience. Great service and great food.

The gumbo had good flavor and a nice roux base, but it was a little runny. The "seafood" was shrimp only, the andouille was chopped instead of sliced, and I couldn't find any chicken. There were also some tomatoes. I learned to make really good NOLA-style gumbo from scratch during the pandemic, and tomatoes definitely aren't part of the version I learned. The Texas Redfish Pontchartrain was the highlight for me. Pan-grilled redfish with lump crab, shrimp and a brown butter wine sauce. I substituted the dirty rice for the green beans & almonds. The fish tasted SO fresh! The crab had good-sized lumps, the shrimp well seasoned, and the sauce was really well done. Total was about $117, including a glass of wine and an 18% tip. Everything was good, but like a lot of airport restaurants, I felt it was a little overpriced. I recommend!

First off, having fish of any sort just melt in your mouth is something special, but when the shrimp does it too, that is when you know the meal is going to be fire! The mozzarella sticks are always a win, when topped with the tangy marinara sauce, this is a special item that alone can leave a smile on your face! The steak... let me begin by saying that ordering a steak here seems like a bad idea, but whoa! The tenderness of this meat was an easy choice for a re-living of this experience. You will NOT be disappointed by going with the filet here! The service was great, our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed! While the place was filled at nearly every table, the sound levels were such that we could easily have a normal level conversation over dinner... i suspect that everyone was too busy enjoying the tremendous food here! An instant "yes" if asked to come back... and I know what I am ordering again

I always eat at the bar since I am a single diner most times and that's ok as the bar tenders are super nice, friendly and efficient. They brought out the lobster for my approval and steamed it. It was delivered with hot butter and was in this massive shell that I delighted in pulling the meat out to dip in the butter. So Good!! The restaurant was packed for 4:00 in the afternoon during restaurant week. Get your seafood fixe here at Pappadeaux.

The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.
