    Bingo night on Saturday

I'm huge on Italian food and I will say was really good! I did a take out order & portion size was good amount. I got the Penne Alla Vodka it has bacon and garlic in a creamy sauce I LOVED it. I'm not huge on bacon flavor in my pasta but it was a perfect blend. Garlic knots were good too. The carrot cake was sooo yummy too definitely recommend it. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my food lol. The service was mid, kind employers. And I like the layout of the place how they have it set up. I will be back!

We moved to Florida last year and are still trying to find our favorite haunts. When my wife saw an ad for Baci, she pointed to it and said, "6 dollar martinis and 20% off pizzas every Tuesday. You in?" Like she had to ask! We arrived at 5PM on that Tuesday and the place was already humming. Almost every table was filled and the bar area was completely occupied with people clearly enjoying their visit. Our server was bubbly and fun-spirited and walked us through the menu and made several recommendations. First, she talked us into trying the garlic knot meatball sliders. OMG!!! They just about ruined my appetite as I couldn't keep my hands off of them. We each ordered a martini. My wife tried the lemoncello martini, and I went for the grapefruit martini. I don't usually go for sweet drinks, but they assured me it was mildly sweet. And they were right! I was delighted by my choice, and my wife absolutely loved her lemoncello. It actually tasted like the lemoncellos we used to get in Italy. Spot on! Later we decided to order one last drink and chose the blood orange martini. It was wonderful, as well. But, it was a tad sweet for me. So, I just declared it to be my dessert! The garlic knot meatball sliders were perfection. We rarely order appetizers, but I'm so glad we gave them a chance. AND--it was happy hour, so they were 50% off! We ordered the spicy Italian pizza, which had pepperoni, and a couple of different salamis, and topped off with banana peppers. That pizza was soooo dialed in! We gobbled it down and just about made ourselves sick. So, I say this tongue in cheek, but there was too much meat on our pizza! (Like that's a thing, right?) Seriously, it was loaded with robust, spicy meats, and we loved it. So, we were so excited by our garlic knot sliders that I completely forgot to take a pic of the pizza. WE ARE GOING BACK! Where else can you get three drinks, an appetizer, and a pizza for less than 40 bucks? Oh, on a side note, the restaurant was super clean, including the restrooms. #todaysdiscovery #traviswinmanauthor

    Shrimp flatbread

We stopped in during bingo night so service was slow. I ordered the baci balls to start (well cooked but rather bland) and the shrimp flatbread. The flatbread was divine and I would totally recommend it! My husband ordered the Stromboli and it was not cooked in the middle. The martinis, however were well made and a good price. I also liked how the restaurant is divided into different rooms. Cuts down the noise. Was also clean.

However, what was given to us was some branded plastic package of some cheese and cold cuts you can get from the refrigerated section in any grocery store and some gas station convenience stores. Like was said above, the staff was friendly and the drinks good. The epic failure of what should be a no-brainer of how not to serve food was an unfortunate distraction from the things that were well done.

Every day of the week they have a different separate drink menu for the specialties of that day. I love the Wednesday bourbon. The vibe inside is so amazing and Homie and it is pretty intimate though. So keep in mind if you have large parties like I went once with around six people it is hard for everyone to sit together. So I would definitely recommend coming on more weekday evenings when it's not as busy otherwise you will be having to wait in a line outside unfortunately. The capacity seems to be roughly around 30 people after talking with the bartenders. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. The off menu drinks that they could come up with ended up being some of my absolute favorites. I had the bartender at one point make me three surprise me drinks for whatever they felt like they could make. And every single one was so amazing I ended up passing it around to the rest of the group for everyone to try. Keep in mind, the drinks are probably a little bit more on the expensive side, but you are paying for more of the experience. It is also important to note that there is a five dollar cover fee that will last for a full week to enter the place, or you can buy an annual membership for $40. If you buy the annual membership, they do type out a membership library card for you and laminate so it feels very official and it's very cool to be able to have in your wallet. In the true vibe of speakeasy, this is a hidden gem.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Apparently, the Yelp Skynet a.k.a. the AI that green or red flags reviews, doesn't like the actual name of this pub despite the fact it is the pub's name. Ergo, I will use the abbreviation VI for the remainder of this review. Besides that, you really can't go wrong going to any of the pubs in Historic Cocoa Village. VI is one of the pubs on the eastern side of the Village, in between the famous Fat Donkey's Ice Cream and the furthest east pub in the village, Ryan's. Appearance-wise, the outside fits primarily with the building, but there are some minute details that give it its own personality, primarily around its name. There is also a section of the road and sidewalk that have been garrisoned for VI as outdoor seating and games such as bean bag toss. Indoors, it is definitely your kinda pub that many of the patrons are friends. The right side (East) have long tables with many pub and drinking games such as Hook & Ring and Shut The Box. There is a bookshelf filled to the brim with board games in case patrons prefer traditional or childhood classics. The left side (West) is the "Patio," a room that is decorated by numerous plants, neon lighting, widker and a black-and-white checkerboard floor. Finally, the middle of the pub is the actual bar, in the form of an L-shape serving a nice arrangement of beers from many breweries, cideries, distilleries, and meaderies across the United States. I had the Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale by Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. Other beer selections I would recommend include the Pineapple Cider by the famous Carib Brewing Co. and the Mango Cart by Golden Road Brewing. Personal note on the latter: Mango Carts, well for me, only taste good when straight from the tap. Cans are not good. And the food, it is minimal, but boy does VI know how to tug at my heartstrings as everything they have features, or could feature, cheese. They have pretzels with cheese, pickles with cheese, and my personal favorite, grilled cheese sandwiches. And for the more sophisticated patron, they have numerous choices in charcuterie boards, too. I will also state the drink prices are a bit on the high side compared to some other places I been to. And there are two restrooms that are single-serving and gender-specific. I don't believe the latter has to be gender-specific because they are single-serving. The barn doors are an interesting choice because they are not very good at blocking sound. I guess that is why VI blasts the music so nobody can hear the flatulence. Speaking of music, VI does have a small corner stage for small acts, possibly singular, to perform. Unless there is a pull-out large stage for outdoor performances, I don't see big bands, per se in higher number of members, performing here unless they can all jam in that tight-spaced stage. Ultimately, I am going to give VI three-out-of-five stars for this review. They are a solid pub that has all the fixin's of a good bar to go to. Maybe it is safe to say they really don't stand out too much, especially amongst the more unique bars in Historic Cocoa Village. But still, a good place to have a drink with friends with that "Everybody knows your name" kinda vibe.

It is always a rare find for myself to find a nonalcoholic red wine so I was very pleased and enjoyed it greatly. There was a live band and karaoke going on. There were board games available to play.
