Baci's Pizza & Subs- Viera/Rockledge- 2.5 Stars "The world loves to be deceived." -- S. Franck The first thing I noticed upon entering Baci's Pizza and Bar was their stunningly well-stocked bar. It was a drinker's paradise if I ever did see one. However, as I was there to review their foodstuffs, not their potent potables, I asked to be seated at a table. Once seated I was handed a menu and told my server would be right with me. Poring over their menu I noticed the typical American casual dining/bar food, nothing spectacular stood out, but nothing read all that dreadful either. In fact, some of it did look rather intriguing. My server, Stephanie, soon approached with a smile and a professional demeanor asking if I was ready to order. I told her that we would like: 1 Italian Combo Sub (ham, salami, capicola and provolone), 1 Greek burger (handmade patty, cucumber and tzatziki sauce) and 1 order of spaghetti and meatballs for my ever trusty sidekick. While awaiting our order I had the opportunity to glance around and noticed that the entire place was very clean, well lit and for all intense and purposes (as this was the lunch hour) completely dead. From experience, this did not bode well. While it is not, in and of itself, necessarily a sign of a bad restaurant to be empty during lunch, it did bring doubts as to the quality of the available victuals. Thankfully, I was not left with too much time to continue this train of thought as Stephanie was soon approaching with our order. Everything was basically a letdown. The meat on the sub was your typical processed pre-sliced Subwayesque crap and tasted as described. The bread, while fresh, was insipid and flat as it hit the palate. The Greek burger, although handmade on site was unexciting and the tzatziki sauce had more in common with the paste that one kid ate in kindergarten than with any tzatziki sauce I've ever had, it was completely devoid of all flavor. The only plus here was that the bun was toasted and the cucumbers were crisp, otherwise it was a miserable excuse for a Greek Burger. The french fries looked like they had been left in the fryer for a few minutes too long and tasted like this was true. This brings me to the final item to be reviewed, their version of spaghetti and meatballs. The noodles were boiled to a beautiful al dente and the meatballs were pre-fabricated meat product, previously frozen crap While not the worst meatballs ever consumed at our table, there were right up there. The sauce, unlike the burger, did not taste nor appear to be homemade. It tasted like it came from a can and had the bright red color only processed pasta sauce has. All in all the fare was dismal and a huge disappointment after seeing their well stocked and beautifully arranged adult beverage counter. Had to write this review right now as I'm sitting at the actual restaurant after we got the bill... If I could sum it up in one word - unprofessional. I had a bad experience here once before and decided to give it another try, and they didn't redeem themselves but rather, made things worse. - Horrible service - our server took 10 minutes to notice us after we sat down and it wasn't even that busy - Inflated prices - really?! $1 per side of ranch? An unnecessary $2 on top of our bill just for 2 we didn't even use - Careless food preparation - we ordered buffalo chicken pizza and it was served without any buffalo sauce Food is pretty good, but very greasy and cause for heart burn. If you get anything fried, be prepared for it to come with a heavy, thick batter shell. So much potential, just not executed properly read more

They pass themselves off as an Italian restaurant, however, they would fair better attempting to earn the respect of a food truck! Being new to the Rockledge area our family saw this restaurant from Barnes Blvd. and thought we'd give it a try. Upon entering the establishment, the atmosphere appears to be a warm ristorante! The waitress (or hostess) took forever to greet us once seated even though the restaurant was not full. Once our order was taken, it took longer than 45 minutes to receive our food. Oh yeah, our garlic knots appetizer came right before the meal-BURNT and with NO garlic flavor! My husband's chicken parmigiana was bland. Chicken was fried in plain bread crumbs-no flavor and the sauce, wait for it...tasted as if it was poured right out of a Chef-Boyardee can! My Tortellini with Vodka sauce was actually NOT! It appeared to be a version of Tortellini Carbonara? Back to the Garlic Knots...Garlic NOT! Silly me! I should've known better...KNOT really means NOT! So, we asked for balsamic glaze vinegar to sop up the NOT-SO-GARLIC KNOTS. We were told we could have 2 ounces for about $3.00 WHATTTT? Oh well, we had to do something to add flavor to the BURNT balls of dough! So she brings out a small plastic sauce cup with MAYBE two tablespoons of the sauce! So much for measurements and we charged the full $3.00. My son had Fettuccini with shrimp. His description: The shrimp had no flavor. He wondered if the kitchen ran out of menu shrimp and sent out for bait shrimp! My husband is 100% Italian and besides cooking his favorite Italian meals, we frequent Italian restaurants wherever we go. This is one meal he could NOT stomach! In our opinion, this establishment doesn't deserve to be in the same category as an Italian restaurant! Such an insult to the culture. A $97 dining disaster for us! That's $3 shy of why anyone would waste a Benjamin Franklin on this dive! This will never happen again! We will never eat there again! The food here is terrible. I got a gyro that the meat looked like jerky [old] My wife got a pastrami sandwich that had very little meat on it and looked old as well. My daughter had the roast beef sandwich she said tasted like leather.The meat was also brown like it was old. Roast beef should be rare and pink this looked like that cheap buddig crap you buy for 69cents at the grocery store. We all did not finish our meals thats how bad it was. read more

The first time I ordered a pizza it was delicious, nice amount of cheese, pepperoni and onion. Looked great too! I was very satisfied, and wanted to order again about two weeks ago, but they were on vacation. No phone answering message, just rings and rings. It would have been nice if there were a message saying they were on vacation, and when they would be back. From the road it looked like a piece of brown paper was on the door. Maybe it said they were on vacation, and a return date. Well I ordered again a couple of nights ago. The pizza looked like a leftover, cheese was minimal, could barely see or taste mushrooms and onions. (Yes, I added mushrooms this time.) So, a 12" cheese pizza, and three items @ 1.75 each, with delivery and tip...$22.+. I wouldn't have minded paying it if it was as great as the first one. But I feel like after vacation was over, they left the chef at the beach. Not ordering again, unless when they see this review, they offer a free pizza, with free delivery. I only live in the neighborhood right behind them. BTW: I was interested in a cannoli, but as an Italian, these have to be just right. But to think that a waitress can get comfortable enough with a regular customer to speak loudly across the bar and to say "take it up with the owners" is just downright disrespectful. Especially when it's just a question of why I charged 1.50 for hot sauce and $1.00 for ranch. That's a legitimate question. Does that question automatically escalate to the owners? Then to tell me "not to bring that negative energy in there". This had nothing to do with energy and everything with a waitress being rude and forgetting her place behind the bar. Best kept secret in town. They serve gluten free pasta and pizza. One of employees goes gluten free and I have been told that standards and practices for handling gluten free foods are very acceptable. Atmosphere looks dated. Probably intentional. Looks like stale Italian restaurant from 70's. Pizza was ok. Very thin crispy pizza. I had 2 toppings -- mushroom and hamburg. Pizza was tasty, but not very filling. Food value was low for me. $13.49 + $3.00 gf charge for $16.49. I probably cant recommend this place because of low food value. Still like Pizza Gallery over Baci. read more

This is mine and my family's favorite restaurant! It's family owned and the food is exceptional. The waiters and waitresses are so sweet and personal. The family that owns this restaurant is from Italy, and the dining experience absolutely reflects it. The food is incredible! Baci has a wide variety of homemade pizzas, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and Italian style entrees (chicken Parmesan, spaghetti, etc.). Best of the best-est NYC-style pizza (the 2 percent) in Florida. I can't believe ... it's as good as NYC's Arturos and John's of Bleecker Street. We try here sporadically and now it makes more sense. While the two salads we had were ok, they are a bit small portion size and overpriced. I working in Rockledge and looking for a good pie. I Read a couple of reviews on Baci and went. What a mistake. Pizza was soagy not from the sauce or the cheese as the other person wrote, just bad crust. I ordered two pizzas and got a bottle of wine from their own liquor store. As I waited I open the wine and was charged a $10 corking fee. I'm all right with a corking fee. (not really they sold me the wine) As I waited the girl came by with several baskets of garlic rolls. I asked her if I could try one, a roll. She told me she no she would have to charge me. I thought she was kidding my total bill for the two pizzas a bottle wine and the corking fee was $60. she said if I ordered a salad I would get a rolls with my salad. So if you order a $6.95 salad you'll get the rolls for free. Won't go back and will tell my friends not to go as well. They need the dough too much. (pardon the pun) read more

Being from New York it is hard to find a good pizza place in Florida. It is really hit and miss. Baci's is definitely a hit. I ordered a sausage & peppers to go and had a slice of pepperoni while I waited. The slice was very good. The sausage & peppers was very good in that they use a folded pizza dough instead of regular bread. Anyway, there was a woman there (the owner maybe?) who was very polite and nice. All I can say is that if I had 3 wishes one of them would be to marry this woman. All in all a very good place and tops on the list now for when I want some pizza. read more

Baci has good pizza, the crust is really tasty & when I'm craving some not so great for me food, I can always rely on Baci. Their subs are really good too and I really enjoy the caprese.
