Within a span of a week or two of meeting Marco (Jr.) for a consultation, we were already so impressed by his knowledge and ability to carefully explain the cement process thoroughly, that we decided to hire M&M for our backyard cement project without hesitation. We were able to get scheduled relatively quickly and it took approximately a day and a half from start to finish for excavation, drainage installation, cement poured with beautiful diamond finishes + a small area with high quality CA fescue turf (my pup loves it!). The final results most definitely exceeded our expectations and we were also so pleased with the quality of the cement after it cured. Marco's extremely professional, knowledgeable and most of all, incredibly patient. The amount of back and forth I put him through for different quotes and renderings would've seemed bothersome and annoying to others, but Marco handled each request with so much patience, flexibility, understanding and poise. Marco was easy to work with and made this process seamless and quite literally stress free. He kept me informed throughout the phases of construction. Marco also has his family in the business, Marco Jr and Leslie, who were very much involved and supported throughout the project. When I was first looking to get my pool deck/patio installed I was nervous about hiring a concrete contractor as I had heard horror stories and seen horrendous work. I met with several different concrete installers who promised high quality work. (Especially the extremely low-cost installers...UGH! run away from them as fast as you can!). After doing my homework on everyone I hired Bob because his customers spoke highly about him and the photos of his work were fantastic. He stood far above the others based on his reputation and previous work. I was not disappointed. I got a wonderful looking pool deck/patio that drained properly...not one low spot or "bird bath" as they are called. The finish was perfect and the edges were smooth and consistent. I did a curved pool deck and the curves were perfect...not wavy or inconsistent. He even took care of sleeves/futures under the patio for lighting wire and sprinkler lines to the remote planters though I forgot to ask about that. He just did it. He thinks about things you may want in the future and makes sure what he does leaves you access to add those things should you ever want them. There are a lot of people/companies out there who say they do professional quality concrete and general construction work but they don't deliver like Robert Berney Construction. Everything he has done for me is top notch. His prices are reasonable and he is easy to work with. Having work done at your house can be a tedious process but not with Bob.
