We got there on the earlier side, around 5:15 on a Tuesday, and it was already filling up. By the time we left there were already no tables available. Menus are hanging on the wall... so you'll see some people standing gin the middle of the room looking at the wall. It's a bad setup, considering how crowded it gets in here. A QR code on the table with an online menu might be a better option? Or come in to yelp and check out their menu! I've added pictures below. Bartenders were superb and the food was quite amazing. Crispy Brussel Sprouts: If you hate Brussel sprouts, skip it, but if you want to give it a chance, I'd say this is the place to do it. 1/2 LB Burger is actually cheaper than the Brussel sprouts. They complement each other quite well. It can get quite loud inside, so not your romantic spot (go down the street to Buttermint for that), but if you're looking for a fun, loud, delicious spot, this is it. UPDATE 3/2024 The steak salad is absolutely gorgeous to look at and delicious to the tastebuds. Dressing is probably not keto friendly, but I love it so much!! Maybe try to ask for the dressing on the side next time.. UPDATE - 6/2025 - no longer on the menu SAD. Steak Sandwich is flavorful according to Hany.

It's great that they offer a few non-beer alternatives for those who prefer our alcohol sans hops. Service was good when I visited. The bartender seemed pretty involved with the patrons already seated inside, but he did what needed to be done efficiently. And yes, it is dog friendly, which is great if you're a dog looking for night out at the bar. I find myself getting a little tired of never finding an animal free patio space anymore - don't get your pitchforks - I love them, but I'm allergic. Also, my cats and I appreciate some "me time" so they're just as glad that I leave then alone when I go out and don't force them to come with me to the bar. I think so dogs might feel the same.

With all the cool trendy places on Oakland I was surprised to see a dive bar in the area so how could I not go in. The place is a dive bar that's old with a cool glass block wall as you walk in and the era correct dark wood panel walls. It's two rooms separated by the bar with the bar area in front and the pool room area in back. We probably had the most expensive two drink order of the day at $17 for two Makers Mark drinks judging by the domestic drunk mini pitcher girl at the bar. For a valentines we were the only couple in the place and I was reminded thats why they are here and it was it a great mix of people from the drunk regular woman to the guy who left and returned to smell the place up with weed. The bartender was pretty cool because he was handing out chocolate kisses to all of us. The four stars are because it was a dive bar that totally lived up to the dive bar experience and I kind of like that from time to time.

From the outside it is so bland and you are truly unsure if you are walking into an abandoned building or a crappy towny bar. The decorations here are great! There are some really incredible pieces and collections! Some I would love to have if I could find them. It was not overly busy so everything arrived quickly. I had a sour beer from Minnesota, I do not recall the name but I LOVED it and it was, of course, the very last one in stock lol. Chicken tenders and fries were also very good, the tenders were quite large and had a cripsy, light outside and cooked to perfection. It started out fantastic, but after we received our food, we were never checked on again and actually had to literally chase down our server to get the bill. Outside there were three tables of people, one large group who was waiting for the baseball shuttle and just drinking. Two larger tables were set up as reserved inside. They slowly filled as we ate our meal. And one other table of two came in after us. There were maybe 4 people at the bar. All this to say, it wasn't crazy busy by any stretch. We started with one server (who was really good) who took our order then we were handed off to another (who wasn't bad). When we arrived we were one of two tables inside. There were three servers on the floor and two behind the bar which was adequate for the number of people dining. Our initial server apparently was working the reserved seating, but even still, the second server never checked on us after we received our food. Also, we didn't receive our entire order. We weren't charged for the food we didn't get, but had anyone stopped by to refill water or see if we wanted more drinks, we could have asked about the missing food. So, all in all, not the worst dining experience ever, but not the best. Being ignored is never fun.
