I always walk out with $30-70 worth of clothes and with that money I get so much especially on discounted items. Not to mention their used clothes are so well priced it honestly makes the experience more enjoyable. Now here are the cons. Their new with tags items are WAY over priced, some near retail. I know those are supposed to be more expensive ideally they should at least be half off not near retail price which defeats the purpose of buying them thrifted. Another thing, it's way too hot and stuffy in there. I've gotten used to it but they don't have AC only fans which doesn't do much only if you're in front of it. Other than that the pros outweigh the cons. The employees are cool, and honestly I typically spend like 3-4 hours there at most. I always look forward to coming here. The worst part was how rude their customer service is. My 2.5 year old is deaf/hard of hearing and took off her hearing aid in the store. My husband put it in what he thought was our cart. When we realized he had misplaced her hearing aid, I went back inside to look for it. I asked one of the stockers to help and they ignored me. I then went to the front to ask for help and was told that I would need to look in the carts myself. I told the lady that my daughter needs the hearing aid to hear and they are very expensive but she blew me off again and told me to look myself. I then told her I had spent $60 in the store and that they were $12,000 and asked if she would please help me. She told me " not with that attitude I can't." She then forced me to take a breath and continued to berate me about my attitude after she had refused to help me. She finally did make an announcement and someone came forward with the hearing aid. I'll never go back to this store and would never recommend it to anyone.

It definitely leans toward the grotesque which makes for an interesting browsing experience. Creepy dolls, haunted masks, odd surrealist art, a lot of funky religious pieces. In regards to art, the prices seemed to be on the higher end although there is quite a bit of variety (a few hundred here, a few thousand there). I mostly focused on the art but if you're interested in smaller things, I'm sure you can find cheaper items. I did question some of the pricing -- there was a small dinosaur painting for over 3K! We were told it came from a children's museum. Seemed a bit steep nonetheless. I personally prefer to dig around small antique shops and score treasures for a low price. However, this place is just fun to browse. It's like a museum of ugly and interesting objects. If you're looking for a unique date idea, you've found it. Parents -- I wore my baby in a carrier and we had my toddler in a small umbrella stroller. Worked out fine. There's enough room to navigate without little hands grabbing super expensive objects (just keep a close eye, obviously). After our visit, I read some of the older negative reviews (10 years ago) where folks with strollers were kicked out and not allowed in. I guess they realized how much that policy can hurt them. I'm talking about worn-out, wobbly, particle board pieces--the kind of items that are one step away from the dumpster--priced at $200 like they're showroom furniture. Dirty, heavily used pieces marked so high it makes you stop and double-check the tag like, "Surely that's a mistake..." It's not. At a certain point, it just doesn't make sense. It's pretty much what you'd expect, a big warehouse with a wide mix of donated and new items. There were rugs, dishes, doors, tubs, showers, washers, dryers, fridges, microwaves, and a handful of couches and TVs. They even had sporting equipment and a good amount of wood, tile, and flooring. If you visit often, I can see how you might stumble on some great deals. What didn't land for me was the lack of customer service. The only person who really engaged me was the woman at the front desk when you walk in. She greeted everyone who walked in, and she was warm, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming. Beyond that, there wasn't much support on the floor. The cashier seemed bored and not happy to be there. There's also security at checkout and a man sitting by the door. I'm sure it serves a purpose, but the setup felt a bit odd and honestly a little unsettling. I love the mission of Habitat for Humanity and think the organization does incredible work. As for the store, I'd probably only go back if I needed something very specific.
