Artin was great to work with for renovating my pool after the Eaton Fire. He was very helpful and got my pool looking back better than it was before the fire. Eddie his project supervisor was awesome and very respectful when working at the house. They worked fast and efficiently. Would definitely recommend! read more

Amazing service. Very honest and professional. The work was very clean, and guided through every step.

Our pool was in miserable shape with a significant leak and outdated piping. Artin and his crew did an outstanding job locating the problem, demoing the old plumbing, and replastering and replumbing it with PVC. His attention to detail is phenomenal, and his communications with the client is just perfect. You cannot go wrong with Babylon. read more

Artin and his team are first class, always showed up on time and were very professional. I would not hesitate to use them again for anything pool and backyard related projects. Our pool turned out to be perfect and cant wait for the summer to enjoy it. They are also very responsive to questions I had after the project was completed. read more

I always wanted an in ground jacuzzi in my backyard. My pool maintenance guy recommended Artin and Babylon Pools. I went to Yelp and read the reviews. They were stellar reviews, so I met with Artin. Artin is the owner and we had a great meeting. I felt very comfortable that he would build me the jacuzzi that I always wanted. And, he did! Let's be honest, building something from the ground up is a pain in the ass! There are always unforeseen problems. And getting all the permits needed, as well as all the inspections, is a long and frustrating process. Having said this, I can't think of a better guy to go through this process with than Artin. When problems arise, Artin is very calm, very methodical and always thinks of the best and easiest solution. He's also an excellent communicator. He returns calls and texts quickly. I didn't really have a design in mind for my jacuzzi. Artin has an excellent design sense. He saw the space available and designed the shape of the jacuzzi to fit comfortably into the space. Plus, everyone in his crew, the plumbers, electricians, tile people, stone people and general workers were all great! Everyone involved did such a great job! Everyone was nice, professional and really cared about their job. They are all excellent craftsmen! I really felt that everyone involved cared about building me a quality and beautiful jacuzzi that would last for decades. They all really cared about their work. I LOVE being in my new jacuzzi!! If you want a new pool, jacuzzi, or a whole new backyard, I HIGHLY recommend Artin and Babylon Pools. You will NOT be disappointed. At the end of your project, you'll be VERY happy that you chose this company. read more

Babylon turned our tired 1960's pool into an oasis of calm and beauty. We added a spa and Baja shelf as well as changed the depth of the pool from 9' to 5' Artin and Eddie guided us throughout the process of choosing colors and finishes. We always had a clear idea of options and costs as well as the process of the remodel. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to build or remodel a pool. read more

As a real estate redeveloped Babylon pools has been our to go to contractor for swimming pools. After having some horrible experiences with some other Pool builders we were lucky to come across Babylon pools and finally work with a professional, well priced and superb pool company. The service they provide is outstanding. Before, during and anytime after the job is done ..they are always there for their clients. I can honestly say they are the best Pool company in the Los Angeles area. We highly recommend them and would never use anyone else. The owner is one of the kindest and service oriented people I have come across in our line of work. Thank you Babylon pools. read more

I'm a bit late on this review but here it goes. Our pool and backyard needed upgrades. We had planters everywhere, different colored tiles and all around blah. We hired Babylon pools to not only to redo our pool but our backyard landscape as well. They did it so quick and efficient we were left amazed. The first day i was in shock how clean and efficient the workers were. Picking out the colors/tiles, etc was so quick. I thought we were going to be picking all day but Artin was so knowledgeable about the material, durability and per what we wanted he was able to help us make the decisions quickly. As you can see we wanted to keep some of the original brick so we wanted it to go well together and he was so accommodating. We LOVE our backyard now. Don't mind the photo it's the unfinished job and taken by my 5 year old but it's beautiful nonetheless! read more

We were constantly losing water in our pool and had opted for bandaid fixes across the years. We finally reached a point to take on a bigger project and were struggling to find a quality contractor. We were referred to Artin from Babylon Pools by a family friend. Artin came out to assess the situation in person and was extremely knowledgeable, professional and reasonable in how he suggested to proceed. He made us comfortable with the plan across several conversations and we agreed to move forward. Across the project, Artin and his team were reliable and timely in executing to the plan. Artin was always available when we needed to talk and had a good onsite presence. He effectively communicated any need or issues that arose so that we could timely address and keep the project moving. In addition to the core project, the team was able to address several other matters around the house including stabilizing our pool deck, leveling out a steep paver driveway, and various other items. As we closed out the project, Artin brought very knowledgeable resources to explain how to use the new equipment and plumbing and someone who could maintain the pool. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Babylon Pools. All the work was executed with quality and done the right way. We could not have asked for a better experience and have already recommended to our friends. We would recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for all the work and a wonderful pool! read more

I usually don't write reviews, but this place exceeded my standards by a landslide. Looking forward to a new pool? Babylon Pools is the spot. With fantastic customer service, my questions were answered in a concise amount of time. Unfortunately for me, I had no idea about the pool business; however, the workers at Babylon explained everything there is to know about pools. I honestly don't have the temper to explain everything to a customer but thank God the workers had. And the experience of the workers was impeccable. These people know what they are doing, and they are very efficient with their work as well. I had my fair share with pool companies, and this is the only one I enjoyed doing business with Babylon. I will 100% keep Babylon Pools in my contacts list and recommend them to my relatives. read more

UPDATE - the WOW factor with Babylon continues. See my review from the process below. Couldn't be happier. Artin (owner) promised to have our pool done by the end of June / beginning of July. Well...he didn't keep his promise...HE FINISHED IT A MONTH SOONER!!! He built an unbelievably quality pool WITH PAVER STONE INSTALLATION of 2,400 SqFt in less than 1 1/2 months. He has made me a true believer in the saying "you get what you pay for". I know he is not the most expensive, but he also isn't the cheapest and he proved his worth with the OUTSTANDING work and attention to detail (and I am VERY picky). I have referred him to 5 people already and will continue to do so. I still can't believe my family and I get to enjoy our beautiful pool ALLLL summer long. PERFECT timing too. ‍‍‍ In one word...WOW! Artin is currently workin on my pool and the amount of attention to detail he has provided us is unmatched by ANY contractor I have ever worked with. He goes ABOVE and BEYOND for us and treats is as if we are his only customers. In the short few weeks I have known him / worked with him, I can already say he is a friend, not just my pool builder. He KNOWS what he is doing and gives VERY good insight / ideas on what would or what would not be good for the pool setup, equipment, depth, size, coping, tile, etc. Not only is he amazing, but ALL of his crew are professional, hard working, meticulous, and polite. I just can't wait to see the finished product and enjoy the pool this summer. He moves FAST too. For example. In 6 days, yes, 6, my pool was completely dug, backyard was graded, and shotcrete done. And IF you run into a snag, he finds the way of making it work / finds a solution. I'll be back once pool is done to give more insight. Lastly, I read the bad review, and honestly, I have NO CLUE what that lady is talking about. Don't pay attention to that. He is the COMPLETE opposite of what she is saying. Artin calls me at least 2 times a day to see if I have any questions or to give me updates. Babylon deserves their esteemed reputation! KEEP IT UP GUYS read more

I cannot speak highly enough about our experience with Babylon Pools, the owner Artin and his entire team. I had been waiting for years to move forward with building a pool and I cannot be happier that I chose Babylon Pools and Artin. I had interviewed and bid several pool companies (yah, I'm that guy) ultimately choosing Babylon. Artin was involved from the very beginning starting with design, engineering, plan check, permitting and build. First of all he was very understanding with my wishy washy process for design and helped guide me through the designs, costs, ad ons (water fall, remote access to equipment) etc to ensure we built what we wanted. I was blown away with how quickly our plans were approved with ZERO corrections from the city with permits issued. From the moment bobcat started digging it was very smooth sailing. Each trade was on time, very diligent and surprisingly quick. Not one delay or correction from the city inspectors during the build as well! Ultimately we ended up with the pool we were dreaming of, on time and on budget. Building a pool is no small task but Artin and his team made it a smooth experience and took away all the anxiety of the project. I can't thank them enough, the whole family is having a blast! read more

This review is late, because we have been busy enjoying our pool all summer! Highly recommend Babylon Pools for your pool and backyard needs. I hired Babylon (after meeting/consulting with 4 different pool contractors in the area) to build a new pool and spa inside my existing one, which required permitting, etc. I decided to hire Art to build my pool because of his professionalism, transparency in pricing, and knowledge. After working with Art and his crew for a few months, and seeing the quality they deliver, I decided to hire them again to finish the backyard hardscaping and then some (too many projects to list). No construction project ever goes 100 percent smoothly (especially during Covid), but having worked with many contractors throughout the years, what stood out to me about Art was his professionalism and timely response to issues that arose, attention to detail, knowledge, and craftsmanship. He never over promised or over sold me, he took the time to explain the details, and didn't cut any corners. And in the end, he delivered - I have a beautiful pool, spa, and backyard that I plan to enjoy for many years to come. read more

Choosing Artin of Babylon Pools as our pool contractor, to consult with, design and build our pool and spa, as well as do all of our hardscape work (all drainage, concrete, tile installation), was truly one of the best decisions we made for our home project. With impeccable service, knowledgeable crew and subs, timely responsiveness and attentiveness to every single detail in any complex project situation is what makes Artin and Babylon Pools stand out from the rest. read more

I've used Babylon Pools for entire backyard design and construction.  Being specialized in hillside construction, caisson and foundation work, it gave me confidence to move ahead with Artin and his crew. Sure enough I made the right decision. They did a project for a friend of mine who also lives on the hills and the fact that him and his wife here extremely happy meant a lot to me, by knowing that it's hard to please my friend and his wife. My project was designed on 12 caissons, grade beams and entirely suspended structure. He asked for 6 months completion time but it went extra 4 weeks because of the inspections and weather, which we were ok with it. Thanks Babylon Pools read more

We had a great experience working with Artin. We met with 5 pool contractors before deciding to go with him. We based that decision on the fact that he seemed to understand the look we were aiming for. He has a very efficient team that finished all aspects of the remodel on schedule. We had a few hiccups due to problems with the building inspector but I can't fault Babylon pools for those issues. The finished project is amazing. read more

I had Artin out at my house today to see what was possible in my backyard - within my budget. He walked me through many different considerations and it became obvious that I wouldn't be able to do what I wanted. I needed a pool ladder installed. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find someone who does this type of work. I made maybe 10+ calls who all turned me away before I came across Babylon Pools and I'm glad that my search led me to them. Artin is a professional and an expert. He gave me detailed explanations about the installation and process. He also explained why most other pool guys won't do this work and if they do, to make sure they were installing it properly (because improper install is a major safety hazard and liability issue). He offered to give me advice to make sure that installation was safe even if I chose not to go with Babylon. I felt like I could trust him at this point and I'm glad I did because everything after was a piece of cake. He keeps you promptly updated, his crew works fast, and he's not pushy about getting other work done. Loved working with him. Calling him again when I need something done for my pool next! read more

Great job. It's been 4 years since our pool was built and it's been nothing but great. Artin knows what he's doing! He shows up with great ideas, is patient, works with you until you're happy. Our experience with Babylon Pools--pool and hardscape--was nothing but positive and they take the pain out of the intimidating project of building a pool. read more

My husband and I purchased our first home last year. The house had a pool but it was extremely outdated and not at all what we wanted. We decided to give Artin with Babylon pools a call after hearing several of our friends mentioning his name. Artin gave our pool a total makeover by removing hazardous large rocks around the pool, making plaster into pebble, and also chorine into saltwater. The overall style of the pool is completely different and so much more modern and beautiful. We get so many compliments on it! Not only did Artin give us the pool of our dreams but he did it by keeping our budget in mind and always worked hard to get things done on a timely manner. The pool remodeling was going on during the worst days of the pandemic but he was still able to get the material he needed because of the urgency to go above and beyond for his customers. I give Babylon pools 5 starts and will never stop recommending them at every opportunity I get. read more

Five stars does not do this company justice. Dealing with Artin Dolatian, owner of Babylon Pools, was a complete pleasure from start to finish. We interviewed four pool builders before making a decision and we are so happy we made the right choice. Artin knows his business, he is responsible and reliable and his prices are fair. The frosting on the cake is his fun sense of humor. Our pool was completed within the time frame he promised...his workers were knowledgeable, and professional. Artin made suggestions along the way and led us to a finished, gorgeous rectangular pool with a raised wall on one side with three sheer descents (waterfalls) and a spa. Our baja deck has a place in it for an umbrella. We have LED lights that change colors and everything can be controlled from our smart phones. When I was concerned about the color we were choosing for our pebble finish, Artin took us to a home to see the finish we were considering. He goes out of his way to help the customer feel comfortable. He took an ordinary yard and created a resort for us. If you are considering putting in a pool, look no further. Call Babylon pools. read more

Artin - You also forgot a few things in your response, so I just want to clear those up as well. But, before I get to the itemized list, I want to say that I never would have written a Yelp review like this if your communication had been remotely good. There were MANY times during the project where I would have to call or text multiple times before you would call me back. I would even give you a day or two to call back before calling or texting again. If you were busy, you could have easily just texted me to acknowledge me and let me know when you could get back to me, but you didn't even give me that consideration. Now getting back to your responses...first off, I'm not sure I know anyone who has a pool that doesn't swim and play in the pool. As an experienced pool builder, I would have assumed that you would take this into account with the cover and build the pool to minimize spillage into the cover area. In all honesty even if it's just me swimming in the pool, there is overflow, which I believe there shouldn't be if it was engineered correctly. Before writing this, I had worked with my pool guy to lower the water level as much as we can to still have the filter work, but it's still an issue. GFI ISSUE: You are correct, we did have a problem with the toys and balls and now we are aware and that doesn't happen anymore, as we are constantly checking. To that end, you were very unhelpful in solving that problem. It took more than 5 calls to get you to call me back and send someone out. I didn't mind paying for help, but I had to call over and over again. AND once we did figure out the problem and realized that we were going to need a solution to take the heavy concrete slabs off to check for balls and toys, you were unable to help and refused to come over to see the problem yourself. I had to pay another company to help me figure out a solution. Spa Issue: I don't think you understand what I'm saying. We built in a waterfall that has the water flow from the spa into the pool. When that is flowing, the water from the spa mixes with the pool. I understand it was designed that way, just wish you had communicated how it would work, especially since we decided to do a cover. This isn't a huge issue, just a bummer. Permit: Again, you NEVER told me that you weren't getting final on my pool because of the other construction. We actually could have gotten final because you finished while we were still demo-ing the inside. There was no reason to not get final - only that you decided to not return phone calls or come over from what I can see. No need for you to come get final on the pool. I ended up doing it myself because I knew I wouldn't hear back from you and I didn't want to call multiple times. Communication: The BEST communication we had from your company was when you were out of town. Your brother was fabulous. He kept us up to date, returned calls and made no excuses. The issues I'm speaking of were when you were in town and in charge. As someone who has used your services, I felt that I needed to also clarify what my experience was. I only wrote the review because I thought it was necessary to let people know what issues I had if they were thinking of using you. read more

We had a pool, raised spa and retaining wall system built in our backyard and it looks amazing. The subcontractors at each stage were great. But my hats go off to the two young men who work for Babylon pools would diligently dug up our yard for the drainage system and jack hammered our granite hill for a new retaining wall. It was not an easy job. I gave them 4 stars because there was some lack of communication about what was to be completed under the original quote. However, it was resolved. read more
