The breakfast smoothie was made amazing (honey, raw oats, and banana) although parking would be tough here it's fine to grab n go the guy was so friendly and even gave us leftover smoothie for me to try my bf's. They have a lot of delicious combinations to choose from, and what I love most is that they recommend the dressing that goes with each salad- it ties all of the ingredients together. My favorite smoothie/ salad bar - I come here all. the. time. There aren't many healthy food options in the area so it's refreshing to have Baby Olive that delivers that concept while also being delicious. The salads always have the freshest ingredients and their delicious dressings are homemade (you can even try them all before you commit). Every smoothie I've had is creamy and not overly sweet. They use fresh fruits and low fat yogurt / almond milk so you know it's healthy and not full of sugar. Both the salads and smoothies are large and filling for a reasonable price. Baby Olive makes it into my "take-out" rotation several times a month. The ingredients are always fresh and more importantly the quality is consistent. All the dressings are homemade fresh. No BS additives like 99% of most places. I usually get a chopped salad bowl with my own personal fixin's and a smoothie for later. Don't be scared to put nuts in things. I know they just throw random ingredients into a bowl and mix it with some sauce - but damn, they do it good! I don't know how they make their salads so good, but I keep coming back here! Oh baby olive. Where do I begin? Probably the only salad bar in Brooklyn that's anywhere near good. Their topping choices are wonderful and have an amazing selection of healthy food. I've only gotten salads but they have always been fresh, flavorful, and filling. (Those aren't so common when referring to other salad bars and salads in Brooklyn!) Cons: 4 seats in the whole place. First off Yelp would not allow me to GIVE ZERO OR NEGATIVE STARS. As far as I am concerned Baby Olive Should HAVE NEGATIVE STARS. Since when do employees get to write reviews!!!!???? I was looking at the reviews left and I noticed one or two employees photos. Shame on you Baby Olive that's disgusting. My first encounter was a Hulk Smoothie it was watery and diluted and quite tasteless. Maybe if the counter girl wasn't busy taking selfies she could have concentrated on my smoothie and not herself. While waiting I noticed a woman with dark hair behind the salad counter with no hair net, hat or anything. I'm not really sure about the health laws but other places employees have hats. As if that wasn't enough while waiting for the light on 14th Ave months later, my wife decides she would like to try their salad I said I don't think so, but when the wife has her mind set, well salad it was. The store was a little busy. The store was unorganized poorly managed (whatever term you want to use). We waited for what seemed like forever, maybe if the manager did not give out lunch breaks to their staff at lunch time the line may have moved quicker. Seems the entire staff was hanging out at a picnic table outside playing with a dog. I guess its nice for them they have a place to hang out outside the store. I ordered a Caesar salad which turned out to be more croutons and hardly any chicken, The dressing was over powering and disgusting . They need to change the name of the salad to Lettuce & Croutons that's no Caesar I had. My wife had a Baby Dina she wasn't as dissatisfied as I was but, she made it clear to me we would not be returning to Baby Olive nor would we be recommending it to any of our friends. She was very dissatisfied with the service and the amount of time it took the girl to prepare it. There is one positive aspect about Baby Olive, it seems that the management hires handicap and/or mentally challenged. One of their employees seemed nervous , unable to be still and clearly unable to focus, but the staff seemed to be very patient with him. Although I don't think he should have been allowed to use the cash register supervised or not. I BELIEVE IF PROPERLY MANAGED OR AT LEAST THE OWNERS WERE HANDS ON THINGS WOULD PROBABLY BE DIFFERENT, IT WAS VERY OBVIOUS NO ONE CARES, AT THE RATE THE STORE IS GOING I GIVE IT 6 MONTHS AND SOMETHING DIFFERENT WILL BE THERE. Someone needs to take control of that place. And please no more reviews by employees or I will contact Yelp about this matter. Damn this place! I have ordered from here 4 times, because the salads are fresh and awesome, although really small and sparse with the toppings. The problem is that every single time after my first order has been an issue. The second order I was missing toppings, the third I got a wrap instead of the salad I ordered, and the fourth I patiently waited for, for an hour and a half. 2 salads, 1 unsatisfied stomach. I did not add any protein to my salad but you can add a protein if you desire for an extra cost. Pretty refreshing to have this kind of place in the neighborhood. Its definately tucked away and parking was kind of an issue when I got here. But other than that, food was very good. Had ordered two Baby Laurie wrap sandwiches. They suggest a certain type of dressing with each wrap and were super friendly with letting me try them before making my wrap. A little upset when I got home and realized they had used Whole Wheat Wraps (kind of stale tasting) when I had specifically asked for regular white wraps 2 times. I'm a BIG fan of salads so when a friend recommended this place, I was excited to try it out. It's pretty small there with about three stools. They have smoothies, fresh juices and a salad bar for you to build your own salad. Prices aren't too bad there either. Salads start at $3.50 and you add other ingredients for $0.50, $1.00 or $1.50 depending on what you want. The staff there is super nice. This place is in the Bay Ridge area. A couple of my co workers frequent it a lot. I saw the menu and the menu was impressive. This past Monday I decided to order the Baby Momma bc I love salmon for one but it just read good on the menu. I ordered and my coworkers picked it up this salad was the Bomb.com. Next thing I knew I started craving that taste. The best part of the menu is you can make/build your own salads and experiment. I wasn't quite ready for that because what they have on the menu looks all enticing and I want to try em all! So today for lunch I called in the Baby Carolyn. This time I went to pick it up. This is a neat store/salad cafe, everything is made fresh on the premises. They have smoothies too! Not far at all from my job so very convenient to order and bring back, can't remember if I saw seating inside if I did I think it was like 3 or 4 stools at a raised bar like table. Get back to my office see that my salad bowl is nice and full too, no skimpy salad here. Nothing to rave about. I find their salads to be a little small for the price, especially when you can get a bigger salad in the city for around the same price. They have homemade dressings. The cilantro lime would probably be my favorite from here. I've also gotten smoothies which are pretty good and the price is pretty standard at $6 for a 20oz. Crossed over the bridge to run some errands today and found myself on 86th street. I noticed Baby Olive out of the corner of my eye and decided to pop in and check it out. The frozen yogurt was as dense as a soft serve ice cream! And fat free! There might not be a healthier, better tasting alternative to the high butter fat ice cream we tend to indulge in. I also had the Baby Laurie salad. Anyone can set up a salad bar with a variety of fruits and vegetables and allow the consumer to mix and match as they please. But if youre going to specialize in salads, you need to be creative enough to OFFER a great combination of flavors to your consumer. Baby Olive is SPOT ON with their unique salad creations. The I got chicken for both items but noticed that there was less chicken in the wrap then the bowl so that weird and the jalapenos were cut so tiny I barely tasted them, perhaps bite size pieces would be better? I came by here today and let me say OMG!!! Their food is slamming. I had the Baby Laurie on a Whole Wheat Wrap and it was so flavorful. They put just the right amount of dressing in the wrap where you can still feel the crisp of the lettuce and taste the dressing. Where with each bite you can taste the burst of fruitiness of the craisins and the crunch of a walnut. Just simply amazing!!! The staff was so welcoming and friendly. They greeted me when I first walked into the store. They patiently waited for me to make a decision, and that was a while since there was so many choices to choose from. Then with the dressing... they let me taste each dressing till I found one that I like with my wrap. (I went with the suggested--Creamy Garlic because all of their dressings are just so full of flavor and just "wow"). Oh and all their dressings are home made too.
