I was left disappointed on the day of the event. Cake was delivered 1 hour and 30 minutes late of the event time. Cake wasn't pretty: cake was leaning on the side and white buttercream was showing outside of the pink color. I requested light pink and didn't get the color I wanted. Even though, the owner was very nice trying to fix this by giving me discounts and refunded 25% back, but I couldn't undo the party to find another cake designer. We were in a pinch and had booked a custom cake months in advance with a different baker. Living out-of-state made it difficult to select someone. However, when those cake plans fell through, Kerry was available and extremely flexible to make us a custom cake on short notice. She works well via phone and email and responds right away. She sketched out a draft of hat the cake would look like. From here, we were able to make small adjustments and perfect the creation. A few points that stand out: great pricing, flexibility, delivery (awesome!) and great customer service. let's just say when our pineapple cheesecake was personally delivered by kerry -the owner & baker-everyone volunteered to skip the BBQ & eat dessert first! this was-by far-the BEST-cheesecake i've ever tasted. the pineapple was fresh, not canned, the crust was buttery & crunchy; nice & high so you you didn't get just a thin little layer of graham cracker. And the filling...creamy, light, fluffy, not overly sweet. i don't care for that "chain cheesecake restaurant" cakes because they are way too dense & dry. not fond of canned cornstarch filled fruit toppings either. i'd say BABICAKES could easily become a staple in my diet. magically dee-lish-us. read more
