This is exactly what a PR bakery should be, happy music playing in the background of a cozy shop decorated with flags and frogs. Love it! Angel was working the counter, and he happily showed and discussed the menu. We settled on a Huevo de Jamon & Queso (Egg with ham and cheese), which came out flaky, and delicious, toasted and pressed flat, plus a Bavarian Cream horn pastry because I like sweet stuff, then I grabbed a tray of pastries because people at the office like sweet stuff too. Service was already great, but then the owner Diana came out to meet me and handed over a fresh baked loaf of PR sweet bread as a gift! It's a little out of my way for an everyday breakfast stop but you owe it to yourself to come and try this place at least once!

The owner offered us some fresh bread baked that morning since it was our first time there. The bread was fresh, airy, and slighty sweet. A great rendition of a sweet italian loaf. The bacalaito guisado was fantastic. It had yuca, potato (yellow, white, and sweet), squash, avocado on top, as well as plaintain and of course the salted cod itself. It was well seasoned and stuck to your ribs. The empanada de pulpo had perfectly tender octopus and a superior crispy crunchy empanda shell that was the culmination of expertly crafted dough and a fry to perfection. I could not highly recommend this place more. The feel is very homey and they make you feel like one of the fam. It is only open untol 5 as it is a lunch, breakfast, or early dinner kind of place so plan accordingly. However, male sure to include it in your plans and pick up some pastries for the next day. Our Guayaba and Guayaba y queso were both to die for.

Our guests raved for days about the taste and all stood in line to take home leftovers. The staff was amazing to deal with during the ordering process and did an outstanding job of packing the cake and having it ready for pick up. Everyone even asked for their contact info so they could use them in the future.

I found exactly that at Earth and Sugar--just in time for my birthday! Last minute, my mom suggested I pick up some cupcakes to celebrate. I called Earth and Sugar to ask if they had any Funfetti gluten-free available that day (they didn't, which I totally understand!), but they kindly held three vanilla/vanilla cupcakes for me to grab. When I arrived, I spotted their chocolate chip cookies and couldn't resist trying one. It was incredible--a little sea salt on top, slightly doughy in the middle, and full of flavor. The bakery itself was renovated last year, and it's stunning--more like a chic interior design studio than a typical bakery. And the cupcakes? Absolutely delicious. I usually skip frosting, but theirs is rich, light, and completely irresistible. Overall: Five Stars I'll definitely be back to try the Funfetti next time. Thank you, Earth and Sugar, for making gluten-free taste this good!
