Needless to say, I'm walking away disappointed in search of another place that is respectable to the opening times posted. One star only for the experience. Wish I could comment and rate the food and coffee.

Then you either cut through the building or walk around to the back (or front entrance). There are some tables outside and about 6 two-top tables inside. You order at the counter, and they will bring your food to you. In the counter displays you can see their various pastries and quiches. There's also a separate cooler for cold drinks. When we stopped by for lunch, they were fairly full inside -- which meant 4 of the tables were taken. It was a one-man band as the owner/chef was doing everything by himself. He was waiting on everyone and preparing the food, as well. Oh, and btw, he is from Paris. I started with an iced decaf coffee. The coffee was very good -- not bitter like the famous chain everyone goes to. I also ordered a sandwich of turkey with cranberry sauce and brie. It regularly comes also with ham, but I had him leave this off. They were out of baguettes so our choices of bread was a panini or a panini (!) -- so we got a panini. My husband ordered a tuna sandwich with veggies. I think the guy thought he'd ordered tuna with cheese, however. It took a bit to get our sandwiches as the chef was making crepes and other food for the rest of the customers. We were okay with this -- although hungry. Both sandwiches were served hot from the panini press. And both sandwiches were thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't get any dessert, but several items looked appealing. If you are looking for an authentic local cafe experience and are not in a rush, this place is for you.

The food is delicious- you have a choose of Turkish , Brazilian , French or American breakfast/ brunch options. There is free parking in the garage behind for the cafe. I'd definitely visit again .

I was…read moresurprised to see that it changed ownership and the menu now included Brazilian and Turkish options. I have never had the opportunity to try Turkish breakfast, so of course that is what I chose. I had a Turkish coffee - similar to a Cuban coffee cortadito in size but no milk and with an earthy taste. I was told to only sip it because there was a mud /sediment that settles at the bottom , which I found out very quickly the hard way. Ordered menemen for breakfast and really enjoyed it. It's just Turkish version of scrambled eggs but with tomatoes, more seasoning and wetter in consistency. The menemen came with a delicious home made rye bread. I also ordered a blueberry lemon muffin that was very dense , more like a cake texture and not very sweet. I think I could've passed on the muffin but I was hungry and my eyes were bigger than my stomach. My companions also enjoyed their breakfasts - lox bagel and grand luxe breakfasts. They ran out of Brazilian pan de queso, but the owner was gracious enough to accommodate our request to purchase an order of 8 pieces and they were made to order , hot and delicious! Prices are reasonable and owners were warm and welcoming. If you are not familiar with this area, it is a bit tricky to find the parking garage , but plus side- parking is free

When you first walked in you are literally transported into Wonderland. It is so whimsical! We spent a good 10 minutes just looking around the restaurant and taking pictures it was so cute! Our waitress, Alana, quickly greeted our table and was so adorable and happy! We even commented to her that we've never seen a server be so happy and she told us about all the perks of working there. We quickly decided what we wanted to order, and then patiently waited for our food. Much to our surprise they had singers in the restaurant! Forbes serenaded us a few times and then, Alana belted it out some Disney Tunes! Both of their voices were incredible and it was a nice treat. The food arrived, and it was scrumptious! The birthday girl had the key and said it was so delicious! My fiance had the waffle and ate every bite. I had the stuff Nutella and pistachio croissant and it was good, although it seemed over toasted. All in all we had such a beautiful birthday brunch at this Cafe. It would be perfect for someone with children or grandchildren. It was like stepping into Disney without ever leaving Delray Beach!

We learned about the restaurant being named for her mom (No, it doesn't mean gold). The restaurant faces the south side of the street in a strip next to the smoke shop. Parking is in a lot a couple doors west. Look for the umbrella table outside. The street numbers jump from 500 to 426 in one storefront. Inside, it's charmingly decorated. The dates on the walls refer to different relatives birth years. We started with drinks. I got an iced decaf coffee. I had my choice of 3 milks. He had an iced chai latte. He said it didn't need any added sugar. Both were very good. For food, I ordered their burger. It was cooked to temp as requested. The patty topped with lettuce, tomato and cheese. It was good. Alongside came crispy chips and a small bowl of their special (addictive) Le Dor sauce -- a mix of cheese and burger jus. My husband had their chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. The salad had nice chunks of chicken along with raisins, avocado, spicy mayo (just a touch of a kick), and lettuce. There were grapes and an orange, too, on the plate. He said it was wonderful. The menu is small, but prepared to look good as well as taste delicious. They offer special pasta nights. Call for info and reservations for these events. We were too full, but the almond croissants and other pastries looked appealing. Ask what they have when you drop by. We hope we can return soon.
