This is a cute place for coming just for coffee and to relax with a book or play games with friends. It's nice, they have a box with a bunch of games in it. However, the food is where my stars go. My croissant was so dry I couldn't eat it. For that price I was still hungry. I ordered a chocolate rice krispy and it was the same price as the croissant, almost $9. I can't understand that price for something of that nature. In general they need to put prices of all their baked goods. They had a few at the register that weren't priced. I guess I needed to ask. The bar also had a weird flavor, idk if they used some kind of vegan marshmallows or something but it had an odd flavor to it. I really wanted to have a good time. It was so fun in there. This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Boynton. The baristas are so sweet, inside has a great atmosphere to work from home/study, and they have delicious coffee, tea, and matcha. My favorite is their sweet matcha latte with oat milk (iced). They also have cute events like open mic nights, community events in the plaza, always have themed/holiday inspired drinks on special, and they are dog friendly!! I have to say our experience here was a bit of a disappointment. After all the good reviews I expected more from this coffee shop. The food menu was disappointingly small. I can say that my croissant was quite good, but the egg sandwich tasted like a pre-made sandwich that came out of the freezer. Our coffees tasted watered down and therefore did not have much coffee flavor. The vibe is funky and the place is cute. Was looking for a place to have a business meeting and I was so happy I found this location. There's plenty of parking in the parking garage. Inside you are met with tables and a beautiful mural that welcomes you to Boynton Beach. There is breakfast menu items and a wide array of summer specials and drinks to choose from. I love the coffee here! Simple menu, you won't find any crazy mocha locha macchiatos but you will find solid dimple delish coffee that is so rich! I don't always come here because the small lattes are$6 but it's a nice treat. Ambiance is nice too, if you work from home this would be a good spot to get some work done. read more

Coffee break in the afternoon and we wanted to skip the Dunkies and the Green siren people. At 3pm, Common Grounds was open and serving and that's a good thing. Definitely a local coffee shop with a friendly barista who made a tasty iced coffee on a very hot day, we spent some time sitting and talking and watching the comings and goings. It's definitely a hangout with a piano (thankfully, no one played) and several students here studying with headphones on. This was my first visit. I used my navigational device and it brought me right to the entrance of the place. The restaurant is located in a long strip mall. It takes almost a block. Behind the shops, there is a big parking garage. It's right in front of the townhouses. From the parking garage, you can access the store's back side entrances. It's a nice coffee shop. I was told that there were others around. The atmosphere was casual and the music good. The open area was nice. Inside the decor was interesting. There was something neat everywhere to see. I ordered an almond croissant which was good. It had so many almonds The Reg was a nice tasty croissant sandwich. I would order it again. The coffee with cinnamon and honey was something different. Such a cute space. There is parking but I live nearby so I walked. I am GF and these brownies are literally from heaven!! Omg if you're someone who hates rich, and chocolatey don't order it. I LOVE super rich and chocolatey so I just think it's the best. The coffee is very good as well! I judge coffee shops by their espresso and drip coffee. Both are very good. Drip coffee is roasted nice and fresh and it tastes that way. I love a good espresso as well. My go to indulging drink is a honey almond milk latte. I like the nuttiness of almond milk and I love a hot drink. Just make sure to ask the honey be mixed with the hot espresso- won't taste the same added at the end. If you're ever in the mood for a great alternative to the plethora of 'Bucks and 'Dunks, have I got the place for you! Tucked away in the same little strip as Sweetwater, this non assuming doorway brings you into the cozy little kind of coffee shop you only find in Hallmark movies. Luckily I work very close by so it was already on my radar. Friendly staff is only too happy to help explain the difference between a Cappuccino and a Latte if you're not already caffeinated by nature, and the big bold menu behind the counter is easy to read too. The seating arrangements span the gamut from a cozy nook with 2 cushioned chairs to a couple large tables that could easily seat 10, and I don't know if they ever play this piano but it looks like everyone in Boynton has signed it! Soft music playing throughout the space was a great accompaniment to my tea. I ordered a "London Fog", perfectly steeped Earl Grey tea with steamed milk, which was my Barista suggested would only be enhanced by the addition of lavender, and she was right. They sell a variety of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches, which I've yet to try. Prices are on the higher side if you're new to specialty coffee, but Common Grounds is a roaster so it's on par to other roasters I've tried. The staff is nice and chill. Used this as a meetup spot to have breakfast with my kiddos and their dad. The place itself is cute and whoever is doing their branding is doing a great job. Unfortunately, the food wasn't anything spectacular and neither was the coffee. It was a bit underwhelming given the atmosphere. Today I had a very unpleasant experience I waited over 25 minutes for my iced coffee and that's all I had ordered. 15 minutes go by and I still don't have my coffee so I asked the barista if he had made my iced coffee yet since it had been a while and the two girls behind me had got there iced coffee already before me. He asked what did you get? I reminded him of my order and he looks at me and says well someone else took your coffee with a blank stare (mind you I looked around and didn't see anyone with my coffee he must have forgotten) No apologies from him not an urgency in him to make my iced coffee a priority or even say hey I'll make it again he just ignored the fact that someone else "took my coffee" he then proceeded to make other people's coffee while I waited another 10 minutes. I was very patient and not rude considering the fact that Ive waited that long for an iced coffee. He handed me my coffee and I politely said thank you to him and he ignored me again. I'm in the industry and I understand when you are busy you are busy but to be absolutely rude for no reason at all is unacceptable! I will definitely not be coming back and to the male barista who works there have a better attitude towards your customers. read more

Then I found a spot to pull out my laptop with no problem. The piano with handwritten notes written all over it was definitely a favorite. I heard that you can play it if you want to, which is very out of the ordinary for public pianos. I almost forgot to mention the nooks! While at first glance, the space is very open. The owners did a phenomenal job of creating little areas that feel like nooks just because the chairs are set up a certain way. All the furniture is slightly mismatched to create this thrifted - but not weird thrifted - vibe. Basically what every coffee shop tries to do but doesn't always achieve. I ordered a lavender london fog (my favorite), and it was perfectly made. Just the right combination of earl gray, lavender, milk, and sweetness. Unfortunately, I live about 50 minutes away from this coffee shop. I was just in the area so I stopped by. If I lived closer, I would be here all the time!! Go yourself and try it out. This location of Common Grounds is in Boynton Beach city and they have another in Lake Worth, that have visited multiple times in the past too. Aesthetically this coffee shop is very pleasing to be, they have nice table and chairs/sofas in a open space. Love the piano in the space as well. The employees were extremely nice and efficient in taking my order. I ordered one drink- café Mel, which was their unique coffee drink that was quite tasty. Highly recommend it. Also ordered multiple desserts. And they packed them very nicely since some of them were to take home. In the desserts, order brownie, chocolate tart and banana bread. They were all quite nice but my favorite was the brownie. It was decadent and scrumptious. All in all a great trip and enjoyed my experience here. Common Grounds is hands down my favorite coffee in FL, especially coffee from their Lake Worth location. It's been a while, and I know SM's have changed but I went to this location today around 8:30am on my way to work. There was no line at the cash register and a kind gentleman was waiting for his drink on the side with his dog. After I walked to the register, I quietly waited to be acknowledged, assuming the woman behind the counter was busy. As I was waiting instead of greeting me, the woman behind the counter looked at me and then just looked down, which I didn't think anything of it, maybe she was overwhelmed. After five minutes of not being greeted, acknowledged or even looked at while at the counter, I initiated saying hello and that I had a pickup order. Im not sure why I was ignored, I didn't say anything, but it's disappointing that I had to initiate communication to get any service or even be acknowledged while at this cafe. As someone who has worked in the service industry before, this was really bad etiquette and this experience has turned me off from wanting to go back to this cafe again. I did not feel welcome and if this is how this cafe will be represented, then I have no reason to spend my money here and will go elsewhere. read more

The last 3 times I visited, there were multiple staff present, standing around and chatting, but they still call the customer to come pick up their cup of coffee. Visited from out of state while on business travel and was highly unimpressed. Ordered a cold brew with foam. Did not know my drink was ready, as no name/number accompanied the order and it did not look like a cold brew. Upon asking the employee, it was mine but the cold foam "melted," so I had her make a new one. Again was not notified when drink was ready and cold foam very quickly again just became creamer, not foam. Employee was not friendly, either. Asked for hash browns for here, tho got them as a to-go order. Disappointing experience. Would not recommend and will not visit again when in town. read more

A cute little coffee shop in Boynton which is needed!!! We stopped in for a quick bite. I had a chicken chili empanada that was good. The crust was flaky but the chicken was a little dry and good have had a little more verde. But it was yummy. My husband loved his toast. Unfortunately I was late and everything I wanted was out! He said it was the best cappuccino he has had in years. My chai latte was perfection and totally unexpected! The inside is very cute and spacious and great place to hang out or get work done. I thought I liked the Lake Ave location, but the Boynton location of Common Grounds is awesome. It's modern, but still has a comfortable feel thanks to the leather chairs and piano. The location itself is more spacious with a tall ceiling and ample tables, chairs and outlets (great for working!). The coffee is consistently delicious, as are their baked treats. I tried the seasonal vanilla and honey espresso and loved it. Easy to park in the parking garage and not super busy. Great spot to change the "work from home" scenery. Will def be back read more

It's the cutest little coffee shop! Stopped in here for a few hours to get some work done on my computer. I ordered a raspberry scone and iced latte for a little snack and drink while I worked. The scone was so so yummy, it was probably the best raspberry scone i've ever had. They have other things in the menu to try out if you're a little more hungry!
